It was Wednesday and you were done packing all the things that you thought you would need in California, Eunhyuk has been helping you and your mom would spend time with you whenever she could; whether it was in the morning or after work when she got off she would put in the effort to spend some time. “Mom, you don’t need to force yourself to stay up to watch the movie. You need to sleep.” You said worriedly and nudged your mom when she was starting to fall to her side on the couch. “Aigoo~ *Umma ironah~” You said like an old lady. You looked at your poorly energy-drained mom and covered her with the blanket then turned the TV off.

You headed upstairs and smiled a bit at the way your mom has been treating you for the past couple days. “Aigoo~ that mother of mine really has a soft spot huh?” You said to yourself and sat in the chair in front of your desk, “Kamasahabnida umma, I owe you a lot.” You said under your breath as you thought about Friday. You leaned onto your desk and used your arms as pillows, looked at the little clock on your night stand to check the time; it was 10:45pm, then closed your eyes for a bit. In what seemed only like seconds it was already 2:30am the next day. “Whoa, did I fall asleep on the desk? Ahh- now my neck hurts -___-“ You said and got up from the chair and headed to your bed.

As you were fixing up your bed so that you could lay down, your phone was buzzing, you groggily tried to find where you put it; it was on the night stand but your vision was kind of blurred and made your phone fall onto the floor, you sighed and picked it up and argued with it as if it was an actual person. You tried to open your eyes but you didn’t like the sudden brightness that your phone gave off and tried adjusting to it. There were 3 text messages and 6 missed calls. “Eh? Who could be calling at this hour?” You wondered to yourself and straightened up a bit and looked at the caller ID.

Your eyes widened a bit to the sight of Donghae’s name. “W-what?” You nervously mumbled to yourself, your heart started to race and you started to question a lot of things, everything. You read the text messages. “____. Where have you been?” , “Are you that sick?”, “We should talk.” The last one made you feel like your heart stopped for a second. Then you went to the missed calls and saw one voice message; you listened to it. “Look, ____. I know that you’re sick, but why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong…wait…scratch that. ____ just please call or text me back whenever you hear this message. I really want to talk to you. I haven’t heard your voice for so long.”

It only took you a couple of seconds to feel that stabbing pain you get, it feels like your heart and stomach were being stabbed by a million knives and you wanted to cry. “Donghae, how dare you even ask me such a question and telling me that you miss me? What the ?!” You said outraged and thought that he must really think high of himself if he thinks that your dumb enough to not think about what he might be doing behind your back.

You were thinking of calling him back and as you were about to press call, you thought for a second that telling him now would only make him come to you and you two would have a heated argument, “No…I’ll tell him later. Maybe later today.” You said in monotone and lay on your bed only to fall asleep again.

You woke up around 9:15am and checked your phone again; nothing, you got up and sighed and looked around in amazement at how empty your desk looked, drawer, closet, you started doubting but then the thought of D
