Jae's POV

Today was a new day which started off boring as usual. The talk of the AP exams was in the air. Teachers piling on the load of work to prepare for next month’s round of test. Some students even started hardcore studying already, but I was going to wait another week. “Haha she said what!?” Eli’s laughter could be heard loudly in the room as he talked to Seungho and some of the other boys in class. Yoseob was the only boy not gathered with them. He was sitting next to me….sleeping instead. I looked at my friend and couldn’t help but feel a little bad. (Will he ever fit in with the guys here?)Yoseob was starting to get more comfortable with the girls but he needs guys to hang with too. Key and Jonghyun are never around enough (mostly concentrating on their hair) G.O’s always playing with Taylor, Mir is too wild and everyone else just seems to fit perfectly in their own little groups….

I sighed to myself and looked at sleeping Yoseob again maybe he could get to know some other guys when he tries out for soccer today. “Daebak!” Eli shouted as he and the other guys in the room continued their wild and unnecessary laughter. I was getting annoyed by the fact that they weren’t respectful to the other students in the class who did try to study even though this was free time. “Yah!” I shouted as I slammed my hand on my desk. “Can you and your flock of friends cool it!” I yelled. The boys stared at me with a lost look and right before I could say anything else the bell rung. Eli gave me an annoying smile before he left the room. (I swear some of these kids are going to drive me crazy…) Yoseob still slept through me yelling and the bell ringing. (He must be really tired…). I shook him a little bit. “Yoseob ah” I whispered. “Yoseob it’s lunch time aren’t you going to eat?” I said. Yoseob opened his eyes “I’ll eat a bit later” he mumbled groggily “I have something to do” he said as he sat up rubbing his eyes. “Okay” I smiled and grabbed my lunch box. “I’m leaving” I said as I started to head toward the door. “Ne” was how he responded. I knew his “something to do” was going to take care of those flowers. Though I was curious about whom or why was he growing them, I didn’t ask. I didn’t want to pry into his business about them…I figured I’d just wait till he told me.

When I stepped outside my class room I was surprised to see May standing there. “Oh annyong” I smiled. I noticed she didn’t smile back but only looked at me with teary eyes. “Unnie…” she said.

I put my arm around her and we started to walk. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “It’s Minho…and Yuri...and…” she started to say but I didn’t quite understand her. “Minho and Yuri?” I repeated. “Who’s Yuri!?” I exclaimed. May explained to me what happened over the weekend when she and Minho went to Jonghyun’s. “So you didn’t come to school yesterday because of this?” I asked. May nodded slightly. “I didn’t have the energy plus I didn’t want to see Minho’s face” she said with a little anger in her tone. “Ah I see” I said. “But what made you come today?” I asked. “Nichkhun and appa nagged me” she said with a little smile. “So what did I miss yesterday?” she asked trying to change the subject. “Well Yoseob accidentally gave Mir candy and we chased him all throughout the school before he got into trouble…” I stopped talking when I noticed May staring straight ahead. My eyes shifted forward and I saw Minho standing in the hall with Dongwoon. He noticed us immediately and tried to approach but May just stormed away. “Unnie I’ll catch up with you later” she said as she left. Minho looked at me as if asking “What should I do?” “Maybe you should just leave her alone for a while” I gave him a little smile. All she needed was some space from him…

I arrived in the cafeteria to be greeted by the other girls and G.O who sat in front of Taylor. I knew that May walked somewhere but I didn’t see Joy. “Where’s Kyoung In?” I asked looking around for my dongsaeng. She was always at the table but not this time. Hero pointed across the cafeteria. “There talking to pigeon boy” she said. I noticed Eli leaning on the wall as if he were cool while Joy stood by him shyly and giggled. “What’s going on with that? Did I miss something?” I asked the other girls. “Beats me” Hyun shrugged. (Hmm Kyoung Jae and Kyoung In….2 Kyoung couple…?? I definitely have to find out what’s up with those two later) “Hey unnie! Did you know that Jenny and Dongho are going to couples counseling afterschool?” Camila laughed. “Unnie!” Jenny exclaimed. “Wae!?” I asked. “Dongho scheduled for us to go” Jenny mumbled. Camila continued to laugh and I cracked a smile as well. “You guys are way too young” Zsuzsi said. “That’s what I said!” Camila teased. “Yah you and Key need couples counseling” Jenny teased back as she stuck out her tongue. Camila’s expression dropped. “We’re not a couple” she said turning her head away.

“Hey Jae unnie” Taylor said as she turned away from G.O for once. “Hmm?” I said putting a piece of beef in my mouth. “Isn’t your birthday in a couple weeks?” she asked. “Ne” I nodded without looking up from my food. (My birthday is coming up isn’t it…?) “Oh that’s right!” Zsuzsi exclaimed. “What are you going to do?” Jameel asked. I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know” I mumbled as I slurped my soba noodles.  “We all should go to norebang!” Greta exclaimed. “Yeah but could we all fit? I’m sure some of the guys would come” Licelot added. “Well we’ll just rent out two rooms then” J unnie said looking at me. “Fine then norebang it is” I smiled. (It would be the first time we all go together…)

Afterschool Yoseob and I met with Taylor and a few of the other girls as we headed to the schools track and field area. “Thanks for walking me to practice” Taylor smiled. “No problem, but you know Yoseob here is going to be trying out for soccer today” I said. “Really oppa!?” Taylor exclaimed. “That’s right” Yoseob smiled. “Wow I hope you do well” she smiled. “Kamsamnida” Yoseob said. We made it out to the field where the other boys and girls were waiting for things to get started. They were all dressed in sporty clothing. I looked at Yoseob who wore a big t-shirt and some shorts. “You are wearing cleats right?” I asked making sure he was fully prepared. “Ne” he said. I took his bag from him and put it on my shoulder. “Yoseob” I said. “Ne?” he answered while adjusting his shoe laces. “Fighting!” the girls and I smiled. Yoseob bowed to us, his face turning a little red. “K-kamsamnida” he said before running off to join everyone else. “Well let’s see what hot guys are out there” Camila smiled as she held her hand like a visor in front of her eyes, she scanned the field. “Wow Joon is on the team right?’ she asked. We all noticed Lee Joon and Junhyung standing on the field. “Unfortunately they both are…” I mumbled. Joon noticed us and waved, well mostly to J unnie who ignored him. “Hey isn’t that the 4D guy we ran into yesterday?” Camila asked as she tapped me on my shoulder. “Yeah it is” I said noticing the tall brown hair boy talking to another guy I didn’t quite recognize. “What was his name again?” “Hyunseungie oppa! Dujun oppa!” Taylor shouted as she ran to the two we were staring at. “Yeah that’s his name Hyunseung” I said. “But check out the guy he’s with” Camila smiled. I shifted my eyes back to the guy she was talking about. He wore a beanie, long shorts and a sleeveless shirt. He was tall, kind of tan and seemed to have a good physique. As I stared at him I felt my cheeks getting warm, I had to admit he was pretty good looking. Suddenly his eyes caught mine and I looked away quickly. Ah, how embarrassing it is when someone catches you staring at them…

“Alright everyone!” we heard a loud voice approach. It was Coach Kim. “Dujun, Sandara! You and your teams practice over there” he directed. I guess those two were the captains of the girls and boys soccer team. “The rest of you who are trying out come here!” he said. Yoseob and a group of other kids walked in his direction. (I hope he does well).

Sometime later I found myself on the field “Come on Yoseob you can do it! Steal the ball from him!” I shouted. I couldn’t help but be fired up as I cheered him on. Some of the other kids were staring at me as if I lost it but I didn’t care. Coach Kim blew the whistle. “Okay take a break” he said. “Yeah break guys!” I said after him. (Maybe I should be a coach? I think I’m pretty good at it) I smiled to myself. I saw Yoseob sitting in the grass. “Hey unnie could you hand me a bottle of water?” I asked Joanna as I pointed to my bag. She nodded and grabbed a bottle for me. “Thanks” I said. I started to walk over to Yoseob. “Yoseob ah!” I smiled as I waved to him. He waved back but then his expression changed quickly. “Jae watch out!” he yelled. “Hm?” I said. Suddenly I felt someone behind me.

I turned around to see that Dujun guy with a ball in his hands. I was a bit confused at what just happened. “Yah you should pay more attention” he said turning around. “Um?” I didn’t know what to say. A smirk played across his lips. “I just saved your life you know” he said holding the ball out to me. “It was about to nail you” he added. “Oh! K-kamsamnida” I bowed to him. (That’s what Yoseob meant….) “Just know that you owe me one…” he started to say “Jae” I finished his sentenced assuming he wanted to know my name. He smiled the most charming smile. “Jae, you owe me” he said as he poked my forehead and walked off. (Ow….)

Yoseob’s POV

I watched Jae talking to one of the guys from the soccer team. He caught the ball before it hit her, I was thankful for that. But I watched the way she looked at him and I couldn’t help but feel a little weird about it…. (What is this…?) “Yoseob, here’s your water” Jae smiled as she kneeled down next to me. “Kamsamnida” I smiled. As I drunk the bottle she gave me, she talked about how great I was doing. But as she talked my eyes wonder to the group of guys to my right. It was Junhyung, Lee Joon and that other guy Jae was just talking to. I narrowed my eyes a little (So he hangs out with them…?)
