Jae's POV

It was a new morning. A morning I didn’t want to wake up to. I got out of bed without a fuss when Taemin came to wake me up. I was still tired as usual but not in the mood to talk to anyone. I gathered my toiletries and headed into the bathroom to take a warm shower. I swear that just made me feel sleepier. I dried my wet hair and straighten it back out, then I entered my room again to put on my uniform. “Breakfast!” I heard Lee appa’s shout. I grabbed my cell phone and school bag and went down stairs. “Good morning” Lee umma said in English. “Morning” I smiled a little, responding to her in my native tongue. Today’s Breakfast consisted of kimchi, rice, meat, steamed egg, doenjang soup and a spinach side dish. All of it looked delicious and I knew it would be...but I didn’t have much of an appetite. “Umma…” I said looking at Mrs. Lee. “Hm?” she answered, “I’m not too hungry” I said. I swear everyone’s mouth dropped once I said those words. Lee appa quickly put his hand on my forehead. “Are you sick?” he asked. I shook my head no. He took his hand off and looked at me as if he didn’t know what to say. “You sure?” Lee umma said drying her hands quickly with a towel and putting her hand on my forehead now. I nodded. “Wow noona this is a shock” Taemin said picking up his chopsticks. I couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Is it really?” I asked. My family nodded. “You usually eat up the whole table” Lee appa chuckled. “Appa!” I exclaimed. He just continued to laugh. “Well just drink a cup of orange juice dear” Lee umma said sitting down. I nodded and did as I was told.

I waited for Taemin to eat breakfast then we both left for school. When we made it outside the door Taemin didn’t go the opposite way as me. He followed right behind me. “You’re not meeting up with Sungjong or Dongho?’ I asked raising my eyebrow. “Ani, Since Yoseob wasn’t going to be here today I figured I’d walk with you” he said. “But you never really walked with me…before I met Yoseob” I said. “Noona…” Taemin said looking embarrassed “Can’t I just walk with you today…?” he asked. I smiled at my little brother and ruffled his hair. “Sure you can dongsaeng”. “Yah, quit it!” he fussed, I stopped messing up his hair and we continued to walk. We passed Manchan’s and I couldn’t help but look at the spot that Yoseob would normally wait for me…. (I wonder if he’s still sleeping right now…)

Taemin walked with me all the way into the school building and down the hall. I felt like he was sort of watching over me…as if he was afraid of me doing something. “Jae!” I heard Zsuzsi call my name. “Unnie!” Jenny and Joy waved. All the girls were standing in the hall. I waved to them as Taemin and I started to walk in their direction. “Annyong” I said bowing to my girls as I stopped in front of them. “Hey Taemin” J unnie smiled. “Annyong” Taemin smiled cutely. “Unnie…where’s Yoseob…?” Camila asked. My expression dropped a little, I forgot they didn’t know…but I wasn’t sure if I should explain.

Well they were his friends too…

“Yoseob…he…” before I could explain where my best friend was at this time. A familiar voice caught my ear. I glanced down the hall to see Junhyung talking and laughing with Seungho and some other guys. Joon was there but standing separate as he talked to another group of people. I glared at Junhyung.

I felt my heart beating a little faster. All the emotions from the other night were coming back to me…. I was angry and it was time for me to take my revenge. “Unnie are you okay?” Hero asked. Taemin caught who I was looking at and I felt him grab my wrist. “Noona… it’s” Before he could say any more I started to head Junhyung’s direction. “Noona wait!” Taemin shouted after me. I could hear the other girls behind me asking “What’s going on?” I started to walk a little faster. Junhyung noticed me coming his way and he gave me a smirk which just infuriated me even more. I started to run toward him clenching my fist tight. “What are you-?” 

Junhyung didn’t get a chance to finish his words because I punch him in directly in the face. He stumbled back and fell. “You bastard Do you want to die!?” I yelled. I jumped on him while he was down continuing to slap him. “How could you do that to him!” I continued yelling. Students were crowding around. “Hey Jae what are you doing!?” I heard Joon yelling. “Jae stop it!” I heard a lot of familiar voices but I chose to drown them out. Junhyung tried to get me off him. “Are you crazy!?” he yelled. “Didn’t you know that it was my birthday!? Huh!?” I continued to yell. I felt someone grab my arm but whoever it was I slapped them away. “Those flowers you ruined! He worked hard on those!”  I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. Suddenly I was lifted up by someone. “Let me go!” I yelled trying to break free from who ever had a tight grip on me. “You can’t do this, Jae!” Dujun said. “Let me go don’t touch me! He deserves to get his a*ss kicked for what he did to Yoseob!” I continued to yell. “Unnie!” Jameel and the others shouted after me. Suddenly the bell started to ring.

Dujun carried me all the way down the hall and opened the door that lead to the school’s rooftop. I still struggled to break free from him but he was too strong for me. When he put me down I pushed him. “YAH! Get out of my way!” I yelled, I felt more tears building in my eyes.  “Ani” he said. “I said move Yoon Dujun!!” I pushed him again. “I won’t” he said calmly. “Hit me all you want” he said looking at me directly, his eyes showing sympathy for me. “Hit just me… and no one else…okay?” I pushed him again, slapping his chest for him to leave, but he wouldn’t….

I gave up relaxing my hands as I stood in front of him crying…. I felt Dujun’s hand on my shoulder….then he pulled me into a hug. “Mian…hae” I said between sobs. “It’s alright…” he said his voice sounded so soothing to me. My hands clenched his shirt and he the back of my head…

I want to stay like this….

Yoseob’s POV

I was in my room standing at the window. I looked out to see no one there of course. (I wonder how she’s doing….) I was thinking about Jae…and for some reason I had a feeling that she was going to do something reckless…
