Chapter 10 - Go with the flow


“Yoongie, is it just me or have the unnies become very distant with each other?” Seohyun pointed out as she observed the two silent girls working side by side, but neither one acknowledging the other. They look like strangers from an outsider’s point of view. It was such an odd sight. Just yesterday the two were so friendly, too friendly that you can mistake them for a couple. Now they look like they’re barely even acquaintances.


Yoona let out a sigh. “Nope. It’s not just you.”


“Did something happen to them?”


“Hmm, I guess you could say that.”


“Wait a second, do you know something I don’t know? Did they tell you and not me!?” Seohyun pouted. “I thought we were all friends here!? Why am I left out!?”


Yoona looked up from the items she was arranging and glanced at the girl beside her. Seohyun looked liked she was about to cry. She rolled her eyes. “Calm down Seohyun-ah. They didn’t tell me anything. Can’t you just tell something’s up? It’s so obvious.” Yoona lied. She knew that if she told her the truth the girl will have a mini heart attack. Yes, her friend has issues when it comes to being left out. It was best she doesn’t delve in deeper in to her friend’s issues. She’s got her own issues to handle after all.


Seohyun stopped pouting and glanced back at the two distant couple. “I suppose. I wonder what happened to them.” She frowned sadly.


Yoona watched the couple from the corner of her eyes. Just like her friend Seohyun, she too was disappointed at the turn out of their relationship. She assumed that Taeyeon didn’t heed her advice. She shook her head disappointedly. Such a pity. They could have been a really cute couple.


She could tell none of them are happy with the decision. Jessica looks like she hasn’t gotten any wink of sleep at all last night. Jessica looked like crap. Her disheveled appearance was really apparent. She was sure that Taeyeon had noticed it too. Heck, everyone in class noticed it. Taeyeon probably dropped the bomb on her the night before.She shook her head disapprovingly.


*Sigh* Taeyeon-ah you’re an idiot.

Taeyeon glanced at the brunette beside her. She couldn’t help but cringe at her tousled appearance. She knew it was her fault. When she walked by the hallway last night she heard subtle crying emitting from Jessica’s room. It tore her heart to hear her crying. And the fact that she was the cause of the brunette’s heartache made her feel even worse. Was she a bit too harsh on her? Maybe shutting her out right wasn’t such a bright idea after all.


Maybe I should talk to her.


Feeling courageous, Taeyeon slowly made her way towards Jessica. “Soo—I mean, Jessica-ah,” She called out.


Jessica glanced up from whatever she was packing and looked at her with a blank expression. Seeing her cold appearance was really intimidating. This made Taeyeon very uncomfortable. Suddenly, all of that courage she just garnered was depleted out of her like a balloon. She didn’t feel like confronting her anymore. She just stood there frozen staring at the brunette with terrified eyes.


Jessica tapped her foot impatiently. The girl in front of her looked like she wanted to say something but is too hesitant to open . When Taeyeon still refused to speak, Jessica decided to speak up. “What?” She asked in a clip tone, startling the frozen girl in the process.


Taeyeon opened , but nothing that came out made any sense whatsoever. “Um…you see…I…yesterday…uh….we…this…that…me…I mean…”


Jessica stared her down with her eye-piercing glare. Clearly she wasn’t amused at Taeyeon’s stuttering. It was only making her even angrier by the second.


Jessica’s daunting aura was making it very difficult for Taeyeon to express her feelings properly. She shifted uncomfortably under Jessica’s gaze. She has never seen Jessica this angry, ever. It sent shivers down her spine. She actually feared for her life at the moment. Aish, maybe this wasn’t a good idea after all.


“Umm…uhh…I…”


Jessica groaned impatiently. “Spit it out already!”


Taeyeon jumped from where she stood when Jessica suddenly yelled. “Uh, I’m gonna go to the toilet.” With that Taeyeon sprinted as fast as she could away from the raging ice princess.


She locked the bathroom door behind her and panted heavily. “Well that went very well.” She shook her head disappointedly.


“Pfft! That was pretty lame if you ask me!” A voice piped in.


Taeyeon lifted her head up and came eye to eye with no other than...


“Sooyoung!?”


“Hello!” She grinned widely. The angel flew around the room like an excited little kid.


“W-what are you doing here?” Taeyeon asked as she watched the angel fly around.


“Just checking on your progress.” She said as she finally stopped flying and settled herself in front of Taeyeon. She sat Indian style as she hovered in front of her.


“Where’s Sunny?” Taeyeon asked when she noticed the missing presence of the aegyo queen.


“Checking on someone else.” Sooyoung shrugged.


“Oh.” Taeyeon scratched the back of her head. Suddenly, she remembered what Sooyoung just blurted out a minute ago. Did she see? She looked at Sooyoung nervously. She wanted to ask her if she witnessed everything earlier. “So, um, did you see what happened just a minute ago back there?” Taeyeon asked carefully.


“If you’re referring to your total melt down in front of Jessica, then yes, I did.”


Taeyeon mentally face palmed herself. “Yeah, that. Ehem. So…does that mean you also know about what happened yesterday?” She was really hoping she’d say no. But of course, nothing has ever gone the way she wanted it to be, so why start now?


“I do.” She replied coolly.


Taeyeon observed the angel warily for any sort of reaction. But it seems like she wasn’t surprised or angry at all. Actually she looks kind of…happy? But why? This puzzled her even more. She was expecting the angel to explode on her as soon she finds out about her feelings for Jessica because she did blow up on her when she kissed Jessica a few weeks back. So what’s with the calm reaction?


“Dude, I can totally read your mind. You ask yourself too many questions. You know you can just ask me directly right?”


“Oh, sorry. So…why aren’t you mad?”


“Well I kind of expected this already.” Sooyoung shrugged again.


“What do you mean?” Now Taeyeon is intrigued.


“I’ve been observing you for a while, Taeyeon. I’ve seen the development between the two of you. I’d say you like her.”


“I do like her.”


“That’s good!” She gave her two thumbs up.


Taeyeon was puzzled. “But isn’t it supposed to be a bad thing? The second condition stated that I can’t fall in love with her. So why am I not being sent back to heaven yet?”


Sooyoung clicked her tongue. “See, the keyword here Taeyeon, is love. You like her, but you don’t love her.”


“Er, but I think I love her. I admitted it yesterday.”


Sooyoung shook her head vehemently. “No, you don’t.”


“Umm, yes, I do. I think I should know if I’m in love with her or not. It’s my heart after all.”


“See this is what’s wrong with you and these mortals here on Earth. You think you’re already in love just because you have this special feeling for someone. This common misconception is the reason why most relationships end quickly. What you feel for her is not true love. Sure your feelings toward her are getting stronger and stronger each passing day. And clearly you’ve grown emotionally attached to her over the past few weeks as well. And somehow in the middle you’ve gained the inkling to protect her with all of your being. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you love her like that. You’re confusing ‘like’ and ‘love.’ There’s a big difference between the two, Taeyeon. You like her, but you don’t love her. Well at least not yet.”


Taeyeon contorted her face in confusion. “Huh? I’m not following.” She scratched the back of her head like a little kid as she tried to take in what the angel had just informed her.


*Sigh* “In time, you’ll know when you’re in love, Taeyeon. It’s a completely different feeling from what you’re feeling right now.”


Different from what I’m feeling right now? What exactly do I feel towards Sooyeon right now? If it’s not love, then what is it?


Sooyoung noticed Taeyeon’s perplexed expression. She knew the spirit was contemplating her own feelings for the human.


Sooyoung is positive that Taeyeon doesn’t love Jessica like that, though she can’t say the same for Jessica’s situation. But she is certain that if the two got together now, they’ll definitely separate after four months, give or take. She has seen far too many similar cases like Taeyeon’s where a couple got together too quickly and ended up in shambles. Relationships need to be taken slowly and feelings need to be developed fully for a relationship to work out properly. And there needs to be acceptance and understanding between the two people involved.


Right now, Taeyeon and Jessica’s relationship barely has any foundation. They’re taking things way too fast. Plus, Taeyeon has yet to learn the true meaning of love and she has yet to experience it. Right now, she’s just deeply infatuated with the brunette.


Let time run its course, Taeyeon. Don’t dive in to something you’re not ready yet. Right now, just continue strengthening your developing feelings for her. Soon, you’ll understand what true love is. 


Sooyoung cleared to get Taeyeon’s attention. “Ehem. Forget about that. The moral lesson here is that you’re not in love yet, which means you can still go on with your mission.”


“So, you didn’t come here to take me back?”


“Nope!”


“Then why exactly are you here then?”


“The Goddess has allowed me to lend you a helping hand with your mission.” She said giddily.


“Meaning…?”


“Meaning, I’ll be helping you out this one time with your mission!”


“Wait, you’re helping me with Sooyeon? But how am I supposed to help Sooyeon with her problem? She hates me now and—”


“Whoa, whoa, whoa! Who said anything about helping you out with Jessica!?”


“Um, isn’t that what you meant by helping me with my mission…”


“ Are you nuts!? I’m not helping you get back together with the ice princess! Do you want me to die!?”


“Wait, so if you’re not helping me with Sooyeon’s case then that means you’ll be helping me with Yoona’s case?”


“Bingo my friend!” Sooyoung exclaimed happily.


“What exactly do you have in mind?”


Sooyoung smiled wickedly and motioned for Taeyeon to scoot closer. Taeyeon moved closer hesitantly. Sooyoung brought her lips close to Taeyeon’s ears and whispered…


“Ok, here’s the plan…”

“Why are we here?” Yoona asked as she eyed the place suspiciously.


Taeyeon led Yoona, Seohyun, Jessica and the three outcasts here at the famous Goguma Restaurant located not too far away from Dookong High. The majority of the Dookong High students flock this restaurant during lunch, hence, why it was always so crowded. During their earlier conversation, Taeyeon was instructed by Sooyoung to bring the gang here. She doesn’t know what she has planned, but she complied anyway.


“Umm, I thought maybe it would be a good idea to bond here. Plus, since the whole school comes here it’d be a good way to do some campaigning to gain more support.” Taeyeon explained.


“Ooh! That’s a great idea unnie!” Seohyun clapped happily. Out of the six other girls, she seems like the only one excited about the idea of eating here. She did mention in the past that this was her “favorite restaurant in the whole wide world because they serve the best sweet potato ever!” (insert giggles) –Seohyun.


Since Yoona, Eunjung, CL and Hyuna have been labeled as the outcasts, they felt very out of place at the thought of eating amongst the other students. Jessica is…well she’s just being her usual boring and cold self, except even more extreme. No one dared to talk to her except for Taeyeon. Well at least she attempted to.


As soon as the seven of them entered the restaurant, all eyes landed on them. Whispers spread throughout.


Yoona’s gaze swept over the curious gazes and suddenly she felt like throwing up. She hasn’t gotten this much attention since a couple of months back and it’s bringing back some horrendous memories of when the bullying was still terrible. Thankfully, it had died down over time. But now, standing here amidst these people made her sick to the stomach.


“This is a bad idea. I think we should go—”


Yoona was about to turn around and run away, but Taeyeon grabbed her arm before she had the chance to.  


“NO! We are eating here and that’s final!” Taeyeon yelled out all of a sudden. Everyone in the restaurant stared at her with a WTF look on their faces. She didn’t mean to yell out loud but her emotion got the better of her. She cleared as she tried to diffuse the awkwardness she just created. “Umm, there’s nothing to see here. Go back to your own business, ok?” She said to the curious crowd. She turned her gaze back at the gang and smiled at them sheepishly. None of them were amused though.


Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw a group of students vacate a table. “Oh look! There are seats over there! Come on!” Taeyeon dragged the unwilling-Yoona towards the table while the other three outcasts shrugged their shoulders and followed reluctantly behind them. Seohyun skipped merrily towards the table, while Jessica painfully dragged herself there.


After the seven of them finished ordering their food, they sat there and waited silently. At first it was awkward because people were still looking at them. But after a while, the eyes on them gradually decreased until everyone finally went back to their own personal business. The food arrived right afterwards. Everyone at the table soon felt more comfortable and they all started chatting happily, well except for one.


Taeyeon glanced at the brunette sitting opposite of her. Jessica was staring out the window with dead eyes. Taeyeon wasn’t sure if she was thinking or if she was just plain zoning out. But either way, she didn’t look happy at all. Actually, she has been depressed since this morning and every time she sees her the guilt at the pit of her stomach surges back up. She glanced at Jessica’s burger and noticed that it hasn’t been touched at all.


Aish, I need to clear this up. Come on, Taeyeon, talk to her! You can do it! Aja!


Feeling courageous again, Taeyeon scooted closer to the table and cleared hoping Jessica would take notice of her presence. But Jessica was too engrossed in her thoughts to even notice anything around her. Not willing to give up, Taeyeon lifted her hand up and hesitantly poked the girl on the arm.


Jessica tore her eyes away from the street and glanced down at the finger poking her arm. She traced the hand to the owner’s face. Her ice princess façade instinctively kicked in once she saw who the finger belonged to.


“What?” She snapped at her.


Taeyeon gulped nervously. “Umm…you…uh…y-you didn’t eat your food yet. It’s, uh, going to get cold.”


“Oh.” Was all Jessica said. She looked down at her plate and started eating her burger.


Taeyeon mentally face palmed herself. Way to ruin that chance! Pabo! 


She looked at the brunette again and frowned when she saw the girl spacing out again. But this time she was staring at her burger.


Aish, screw it!


“Sooyeon—”


*Clash!*


The sound of a glass breaking caught everyone’s attention. Taeyeon reluctantly tore her gaze away from the brunette who was staring at her expectantly when she heard Taeyeon call her Sooyeon. Taeyeon shifted her gaze towards the commotion.


At the back of the restaurant she could see Taemin and his gang getting up from their seats. Taemin’s shirt was wet. Directly in front of him was a shaking girl looking down at the broken glass on the floor. Putting the pieces together, Taeyeon concluded that the girl had accidentally spilled her glass of water on Taemin’s shirt.


Poor girl, she thought.


The girl doesn’t seem like she's from Dookong High as she is wearing a different uniform from everyone else. It looked like she was from YG Academy, which was located on the other side of the town.


What was she doing here in the first place? Taeyeon thought curiously.


“Yah! Do you know who you just messed with? Huh? Do you!?” Taemin roared at the cowering girl.


“Taemin-ah, she doesn’t look like she’s from our school. I don’t think she knows who we are. I think we should just let it go.” Onew tried to reason out.


Taemin flashed him a death glare making him shut his mouth almost immediately. Taemin looked back at the girl in front of him and began jabbing her head with his forefinger. “Yah, do you know who I am?” He asked irritated.


Still looking down, the trembling girl shook her head side to side. Taemin scoffed. “Yah, look at me when I’m talking to you.” He jabbed her on the head again.


The girl hesitantly looked up. Taeyeon’s eyes widened when she recognized who it was.


Jessica’s eyes also widened when she saw who it was. She glanced at Taeyeon and noticed her surprised expression, which meant she recognized the trembling girl as well. She poked the Taeyeon on the arm to get her attention. Taeyeon turned to her.


“Uh, isn’t that girl…”


Taeyeon nodded slowly. “Yup. That’s Sooyoung.” She returned her gaze back at the tense situation. She bit her fingers nervously.


What the heck is she planning!?


Taeyeon thought back on their earlier conversation in the bathroom.


Flashback:


“Ok, here’s the plan. Take Yoona, Seohyun, Jessica and the other three girls to Goguma restaurant today during lunch.”


“Um, why?”


“Just follow my instructions ok?”


Taeyeon nodded.


“Ok, so once there, just order food and chill with the others. But do watch out. Later on, something will happen. And when that something does happen, make sure to go with the flow, you hear me?”


“Wait, what are you planning?”


“Forget what I’m planning. Just go with the flow, got it?”


Once again, Taeyeon nodded.


End of Flashback.


Go with the flow?


A light bulb went up in her head.


Go with the flow!


“Guys!” She hissed loud enough for the people at her table to hear. Everyone turned to her. “We have to help that girl!”


Eunjung, CL and Hyuna gave her a hesitant look.


“Why do we need to help her for? Do you have a death wish or something?” Eunjung asked incredulously.


“But that’s my best friend over there! We have to save her!”


Seohyun gasped. “Omo! I knew she looked awfully familiar! She was the girl who saved us from Shinee about a week ago right?”


Taeyeon nodded.


“Wait, so you mean to say that she was the one who saved your butts from Shinee?” Hyuna piped in.


“Yeah, that’s her. That’s why we have to save her!” Taeyeon pleaded.


“I say we help her out. It’s the least we could do for saving us, right, Yoona?” Seohyun nudged her friend.


“Hmm, I guess I do owe her one. Fine. I’m in.”


“Yay!” Seohyun clapped delightfully.


Taeyeon looked at the other three girls. One by one, the three of them agreed as well. Jessica didn’t really agree, but she went along with it any way since the girl was Taeyeon’s friend and she did help them out.


The seven of them walked over to where the commotion was with the whole restaurant staring at them.


Taemin was about to jab the poor girl again on the head when Yoona grabbed his wrist. Everyone gasped.


“Yah, who dares…” Taemin turned to the owner of the hand. When he saw it was Yoona and her gang of losers, as he dubbed them, he smirked. He shook Yoona’s grip of off him and turned around to fully face the newcomers. “Would you look at this? Yoona and her loser friends came to the rescue.”


The Shinee boys all chortled.


“Let her go Taemin, or you’ll regret it.” Yoona threatened.


“Oooh! I’m so scared! HAHAHA!” Taemin doubled over and started laughing hysterically. After composing himself, he stood back up and stared at Yoona. “As if I’m scared! What are you gonna do about it? Beat me up with your cyborg leg?”


Everyone ‘oooooed’ at Taemin’s comment.


Yoona gritted her teeth in annoyance, but she kept her cool. She really wants to settle this problem without having to go on a full out scuffle with the Shinee boys.


“Come on, Taemin. I’m asking you nicely here. Let her go so we can all go back to hating and ignoring each other.”


“And what if I say no? What are you gonna do about it?”


“I will—”


“WE’LL FIGHT YOU!” A voice piped in.


The whole restaurant became quiet. Everyone turned their gaze to the owner of the voice.


Taeyeon stared wide-eyed at the eyes staring at her. “W-we’ll fight you!” She said again. Although she was scared as hell, she still has to go with the flow. At least that’s what she thinks Sooyoung meant.


Yoona literally face palmed herself. “Look, Taemin, she was just kidding—”


“Fine! We’ll fight it out then!” Taemin readily agreed. The other Shinee members hollered in agreement. Taemin smirked. He has been looking forward for another chance to beat the little midget. And as if being presented to him on a silver platter, the little midget herself suggests fighting. HA! What an idiot! Get ready to get pummeled midget!


Everyone stepped outside of the restaurant including the entire patron of restaurant. The crowd surrounded them in a circle. Yoona and her gang stood on one side, while Taemin’s gang stood on the other side.


“Taeyeon, are you nuts!? Why did you suggest a fight?!” Yoona asked in disbelief.


“Yeah, Taeyeon. What the hell was that?” Jessica spat. The other four turned their gazes on Taeyeon and glared at her. Clearly they weren’t too please with the idea of fight either. To be honest, Taeyeon wasn’t sure what made her yell out ‘fight’ in the first place. For some reason she felt like she had to say something. But her motor mouth prevented her from thinking straight once again.


“Umm, I-uh—”


“HEY! Are you guys done with your little meeting yet or can we start already?” Taemin shouted. He started taking off his vest and so did the rest of Shinee. The whole crowd got hyped.


“FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!”


Aish! What the hell are we suppose to do now!?


“Taeyeon-ah!” A voiced hissed.


Taeyeon turned to her side and was met by a hovering Sooyoung.


“Yah, Sooyoung! Was this what you meant by ‘going with the flow!?’ ”


Sooyoung grinned widely. “Yup! Good job midget! I knew your motor mouth would come in handy one day!”


Taeyeon face palmed herself. “How are we suppose to beat Shinee!? As you are very well aware of, all of us got beaten up by Shinee at one point! How the heck are we suppose to win this fight!?”


“Don’t worry, Taeyeon. I’ll handle everything.”


“How are you going to do that?!”


“I’ve done a little sparring with my brother Siwon plenty of times in the past. Seriously, with all of those years of sparring, I could be considered a black belt. Actually, I should be called a Kung Fu master instead! HAHAHA! Just sit back and relax ok? Let me do all of the fighting!” Sooyoung smirked evilly as she cracked her knuckles. “Mama, is gonna have a lot of fun beating up little boys!”


Taemin and his gang started advancing.


Taeyeon watched the angel in shock as she entered CL. CL’s body had a short spasm like she was being electrified or something. Then suddenly she stood upright in to a fighting stance; fists out front and one leg over the other.


Minho smirked maliciously at her. “Heh, get ready to feel extreme pain!” He threw a punch towards CL’s direction.


Everyone gasped.


CL had intercepted his attack. She was now gripping his wrist tightly in her hand. “Too slow, kid.” She smirked. With that she gave a hard jab at Minho’s side causing him to fall to his knee. Still holding on to his arm, CL gave him a hard kick on the back. Everyone roared in glee when his whole body fell on the cold asphalt ground. CL, excited about her victory, started flexing her muscles like some kind of body builder.

Taeyeon face palmed herself. That's definitely Sooyoung. She thought sadly.


“CL! CL! CL! CL!” Everyone chanted.


Taemin and the rest of the Shinee gang stood there in shock.


“Why you little—” Key marched towards CL with an intent to avenge his friend.


Sooyoung quickly flew out from CL and entered Hyuna’s body.


CL, finally back to her senses, stared wide-eyed at the oncoming Key. He was about to throw a strike at CL’s face when Hyuna suddenly came out of nowhere with a flying kick right at Key’s face. Key fell hard on his back. He grunted in pain. Hyuna stared down at him with a deadly glare. “Come at me bro!” She sneered.


The crowd was getting hyped up.


Onew and Jonghyun gave each other a knowing look and they attacked at the same time. Onew tried to attack CL, while Jonghyun tried to attack Hyuna.


Sooyoung, flew out of Hyuna’s body and headed for Eunjung’s body. Eunjung rolled on her back landing her right in front of Jonghyun. She kicked him right between the legs. Everyone ‘oooooed’ at the surprise attack. Jonghyun’s face contorted in pure and extreme pain. His hands immediately covered his center as he fell pathetically on his knees and down to his back. Eunjung hovered over Jonghyun's body and started waving her hand side to side in front of her face. "You can't see me!" She taunted before going down on him with the five knuckle shuffle.*


The whole crowd exploded in madness. “Eunjung! Eunjung! Eunjung!”


Onew on the other hand was locked in a headlock by CL, while Hyuna continually sent blows to his abdomen. Even though Sooyoung was no longer in their bodies, for some strange reason they somehow gained a sense of fighting spirit. It was such an odd sight to see. Sooyoung’s fighting ability must have rubbed off on them, Taeyeon guessed.


Soon, Minho and Key were back on their feet. Hyuna left Onew and CL and went ahead and attacked Minho.


Sooyoung left Eunjung’s body and flew into Yoona’s body. Using her metallic leg, she sent a flying kick towards Key, sending him falling on his . He quickly got up and tried to counterattack, but he failed miserably. Yoona punched him on face making him dizzy. She did a couple more karate moves on his abdomen before finally unleashing a Kamehameha** with her hands right on his chest. The poor boy was sent flying to the other side of the circle.


By this time the crowd was going nuts. They watched the fight as bodies flew left and right and blood splattered all over the ground. The entire crowd was screaming and yelling and chanting everywhere like crazed and deranged Kpop fans. They even started taking bets! 


In just a matter of minutes, the fight that everyone thought would end quick and simple just turned in to a deadly wrestling match. 


Taemin was enraged by the scene before him. He can’t believe his whole gang was getting beaten up by a bunch of…girls!?


He balled his hands in to a tight fist and he snapped his gaze towards Taeyeon’s direction. “YOU!” He raged. He marched towards Taeyeon and punched her right across the jaw.


Everyone gasped.


Jessica gasped in shock as well. Seohyun looked on frightened at what just happened. She started panicking. She was the only one Sooyoung has yet to enter so she hasn’t gained any fighting spirits yet.


Jessica, enraged by what he just did to Taeyeon, ran towards Taemin and gave him a hard blow square on the face sending flying on his . Taemin’s groaned in pain. His nose was bleeding profusely. Did she just broke my nose!?


“Ugh, that hurt!” Jessica whined as she massaged her aching knuckles.


Taeyeon gathered herself up from the ground and stood in a fighting stance. Now she’s really mad.


Taemin carefully got back up on his feet and started towards Taeyeon again. The two just sent punches flying at each other’s way without any care. Taeyeon was able to block off some of the hits, but the rest hit her painfully all over her body. Taemin was on the same boat as well.


The two finally broke apart from their little tussle and panted heavily. Instead of going in for another brawl, which neither of them really wanted to get in to at the moment, the two held a staring contest. With chest heaving up and down, eyes twitching in pain and blood trailing down their mouths, the two held their gaze firmly. No one dared to lose this fight. Nope, not in a staring contest, they thought simultaneously. Both competitors were determined to win no matter what.


Although the other fights were still going on, the entire crowd’s attention was on the two holding the staring contest. Everyone held their breaths as they waited for the outcome of the intense staring battle.


Jessica watched in disbelief at what was happening in front of her. Really?! A ing staring contest!? People are getting beaten up around us, and yet they decide to hold a staring contest!? She groaned in exasperation.


“For goodness sake, just beat him up Taeyeon! Stop staring at him!”


Taeyeon was startled by Jessica’s sudden outburst causing her to unintentionally blink.


Everyone gasped.

A/N: Sorry I had to cut it there. The chapter was getting a little too long :P And I apologize that there wasn't much Taengsic moments at all in this chapter >.< I hope you had a good laugh with the fight though. I had a lot of fun writing it hehehe :P And btw, the fight is all part of the plan to help Yoona gain some supporters, if you know what I mean ;) So you can guess who's going to win the fight at end. Anyway, I dropped a subtle hint in this chapter regarding Goddess Hyo's plans for Taeyeon. I hope you were able to catch it. Like I said before, their plans are not what it seems. Definitely lots of Taengsic moments next chapter! Oh and next chapter will be prom night! Woot! Is everyone hyped? I know I am! Lol.

Btw, as I've mentioned before, I have started writing another Taengsic fic!! Woot! It's not going to be a long story line like this one. It'll probably be just a three or four shots fic. Something like that. Unfortunately, I won't be putting it up anytime soon. I'm still working on it. But look forward to it though!
