Prologue
Les Chic
If the United States of America has Vogue.
And France has Elle.
Then South Korea has Les Chic.
Just by the mere mention of the name makes the fashion industry tremble with both fear and respect.
Headed by the nation's fashion goddess, the great Jung Joori, Les Chic had started like any other modest establishment. Her team, which was consisted with just her and some other college friends from fashion school, Jung Joori's eccentric and unique taste in design, not to mention her never ending thirst for finding fashion's 'next best thing', she had managed to grab the attention of the industry with her sweat and blood.
Starting from a few pages filled with in depth reviews of famous clothing brands and designers to intensive coverage of fashion shows and boutique launches, Les Chic grew from being an indie magazine firm into a huge fashion magazine empire.
Ten years into the business, the Les Chic Fashion Magazine firm had solidified their place as South Korea's top fashion magazine and no one dared to overtake them. Now armed with hundreds of talented and very flamboyant artists from not just South Korea but around the world, Les Chic was still considered as one of the top companies that writers, photographers, fashion designers and even janitors are dying to get an employment from.
But this story is not about Les Chic, nor its proprietor Jung Joori.
Today, amidst of the ever growing number of employees, the magazine firm is expecting a Junior Designer which is flying in from California to join their team in the Layout Department.
And Krystal Jung, Les Chic's Senior Layout Artist and the firm's one and only straight girl, can only hope that the newbie is as 'normal' as her.
