Chapter 10: 

Chasing Game

“This guy is in a bad mood.”

I gave Youngbae a menacing look. “Shut up.” 

“Spill it.” 

“Tss.” 

I started dribbling the ball and ran towards Seunghyun. I attempted to shoot the ball but he easily blocked it. 

“What a lousy player.” He teased. “Just fcking tell us what really happened so we can help you.” 

“Tss. So gay.”

“Guys can also give advices!” Seungri ranted. 

I don’t want to tell them that I got jealous. I don’t even want to hear them tease me. Damn it. 

“I heard he almost punch a poor second year.” Daesung said while laughing. “Imagine the face of poor Mino while holding his  reddened arm.” 

“Where the heck did you heard that?” 

“Dude, Mino is my cousin.” Daesung laughed. “I can file a lawsuit for hurting my cousin. Harassment resulting to Physical injuries.” 

“Shut up. He fcking deserves it. It’s his fault for…fcking .” 

“You are a calm person hyung, what the heck happened?” Seungri asked as he approach me. 

“According to Mino—“

“Oh, shut the fck up.” I went to the bench. “I’m going home.” 

“Geez. Let’s go grab some drinks.” Senghyun asked while wiggling his eyebrows. “We will talk about this motherfckers problem. But I do have an idea that it includes his Sandara.”

“So, it’s confirmed that he is indeed in-love with her?” Youngbae asked, giggling. 

“Stop it. It’s creepy when you giggle.” I commented. “It’s Minos fault.” 

“What did my cousin do?” Daesung asked, teasingly. 

“He casually placed his fcking arms on Sandara’s shoulder. Where the actual fck did he got those fcking confidence, huh?” I growl. The image of arm on Dara’s shoulder is so clear that my temper is already rising as of the moment. 

“Someones jealous!” Everyone chorused. 

“Dude, you don’t have any license to get jealous of Mino!” Youngbae teased. “First of all, she is not your girlfriend.”

“But I like her!” I rebutted. I fcking sound so gay.

“What the fck!” Daesung said while laughing. “Does she even like you?” 

I remained silent making them laugh for more. See? This is the reason why I don’t want them to know this. They will tease me. Every. Single. Day. Seunghyun placed his arms on shoulder and disheveled my hair soaking with sweat. 

“Did you tell her? That you like her?”

I nod. “And she…damn.”

“Rejected!” 

“I don’t understand her.” I sighed. “She won’t even listen my side.” 

“It’s because of your fcking reputation.” Seungri commented. “Your choices of girlfriends. You kept on changing girlfriends every term. Dude, you might have STD already.” 

“Fck off…” I mumbled while trying to punch him. “I don’t do unprotected stuffs.” 

“Kidding aside, what did she said? Did she said the reason why she can’t like you?” Seunghyun asked. Seriously, he’s the only normal. 

“She said she can’t like me because we are academic rivals. Imagine, that stupid reasoning!” 

“What an academic monster.” Seungri commented. “Is that it?” 

“And because I’m a ‘playboy’.”

“Now, it’s fun ‘till it backfires, huh.” Daesung said. “Well, if I were a girl like Sandara, I will really avoid dating you.” 

“I agree.” Youngbae said. “Once a player, always a player. You can’t change overnight. Dude, I might develop paranoia because my boyfriend might cheat on me, any minute. Geez. What a naussiance.” 

“I didn’t even said that I will date her. Fck. I can’t…it’s beyond reality.” 

Seunghyun sighed. “Then why the heck are you jealous? Why the heck did you said that you like her? Jiyong, when you tell the girl that you like her, it means you want to date her! Are you stupid or what?” 

“It seems like he forgot all those experience he had just because she is Sandara.” 

I remained silent. I was jealous. Yes. Because he’s holding her. Because of the short distance that they had. I don’t like seeing her being with someone else. It boils the hell in me. It makes me so angry to the point of wanting to break all of his bones. And I told her that I like her because…I wan’t to. I want to tell her everyday that I like her and that she looks so beautiful and she looks perfect even if she lacks of sleep. But, I can’t seem to date her. 

Is it because I put her to the pedestal? Dude, what the fck am I saying? I fcking want to date her. I want to hold her hand. I want to text her ‘Good Morning’ and ‘Good Night’. Although I text her ‘Good Morning’, I want something more than that. I want to be close to her. I want to make her smile. I want to make her happy. To kiss her because of her achievements. To see her succeed in life. 

“Maybe he’s just fan-boying. We all know that he’s crazy over her.” Seungri commented. ”There’s a thin line between a fan-boy kind of like and ‘I want to date her’ kind of like.”

Youngbae nodded while placing his thumb upwards. “I agree. Maybe he likes her as a ‘fan-boy’.” 

I bit my lower lip. Who am I kidding? I started to notice her, in a different manner, ever since she punched me after seeing me dumping my ex-girlfriend. 

She even told me: “What a fcking , Kwon Jiyong. You know what? You are fcking handsome, fcking intelligent but you…you are a player that change girls too fast it felt like you’re just changing clothes. Eww.” 

I knew, from that moment, she will be more than just a classmate who’s obsessed to be the TOP student in our class. It was… the very first time someone say those words. A lot of girls easily give-in to me. One smile and they fall, real damn hard. But Sandara? She’s different.  She is immune to my words. She’s not one of those girls who will follow me, who will give me flirty smile, who will do anything to please me. Heck, she’s not even giving me a friendly smile. She’s always cold towards me. So, I got so curious about her to the point of observing her in our class. And damn it, she is indeed more than just a beautiful face and a smart lady. 

“I’ll go home.” I said while grabbing my sports bag. “Who wants a ride?” 

“What the fck. Of course, everyone.” Seungri commented. 

We started walking towards my car. Damn, I can use my car everyday to go to school but heck, Sandara is using bicycle so I should do the same. “Damn…” I mumbled. 

“If she won’t listen to your words, try making her feel your true feelings.” Seunghyun said as I started driving. “You can’t change over-night, yes, but let her see your true intentions.” 

“You are spoiling him, hyung!” Seungri said before drinking his soda. 

“Chase her, Jiyong. Change your ugly impression. And when you’re on the same pace, tell her again that you like her. That you genuinely like her. And that you change for the better…”

I sighed. So, this chasing game starts, huh?
