Chapter 3
It's still you
It’s Saturday when Mark invited by Jinyoung to visit his house. Mark more than happy to visit the younger because he also promised that he will make pizza for Mark, of course Mark is surprised that Jinyoung will cook for him but he said yes anyway. When he arrived at Jinyoung’s house, he’s greeted by Jinyoung’s aunt because his parents are live in Busan so he lives in Seoul with his aunt. Jinyoung’s aunt told him to wait for Jinyoung in the living room because she said Jinyoung needs more time to prepare the food so Mark patiently waiting. After 15 minutes waiting while chit chatting with Jinyoung’s aunt, they heard a very loud noise coming right from the kitchen.
“He is struggling, Mark.” Jinyoung’s aunt said while shaking her head and holding her laughter.
Mark confused, because Jinyoung is so confident when he offered himself to cook pizza for Mark as if he is very good at cooking. “I thought his cooking skills is excellent?”
“He is very good at cooking..... Korean food. For western food? A big no no.” She then prepared to get up and heading to the kitchen. “just wait here Mark, I think he needs my help.”
Mark get up a little too fast and stopped Jinyoung’s aunt. “Wait, can I see him? No, I mean can I help him?” then Jinyoung’s aunt smiled knowingly “well, if you want to. I will just go straight to my room. Just don’t do anything that will make the kitchen even messier than it already is, ok?” She winked before leaving Mark who can only nodded shyly. It’s not the first time Mark go to Jinyoung’s house because after their last date before, they become really close. Sometimes Jinyoung will go to Mark’s house and vice versa. It’s been more than a month but none of them want to confess their feelings. Of course, Mark realized the butterfly inside him can’t calm down everytime Jinyong playfully hugs him or when he look Jinyoung staring at him. He also realized the way Jinyoung treated him is more than a friendly treatment. He is more than realized that something is definetely going on between them but nor he and Jinyoung want to talk about it. For now, they just want to enjoy each other presence or it is what Mark’s thought.
“OH GOD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” Mark startled when he arrived in the kitchen and Jinyoung yelled at him while trying very fast to tidy up a little bit of the mess that he made and cleaned up himself. But the scenery in front of him make him smile. Well, beside the kitchen looks like a disaster, but seeing Jinyoung with messy hair and sweat ily showered him made Mark smile widely while staring at him.
“MARK! Do you hear me? Please, just please wait for me at the living room. I’ll be there in 10 minutes.” Jinyoung said while trying to push Mark to get out from the kitchen. But Mark didn’t move an inch instead he grabbed Jinyoung hands tightly.
“Nope. I know your cooking skills is great enough to win masterchef but you can’t push me away because I want to help.”
Jinyoung pouted but he can’t say no to Mark. “Fine. Just don’t touch my food. You can help me by doing the dishes and clean up the kitchen. But pizza still on me, got it?” Mark just nodded happily.
Finally Jinyoung finished the pizza and put it on the dining table. He then dragged Mark to sit and gave him one slice to try. Mark took a bite and he can taste the pizza is a bit too salty but it is still edible.
“How is it? Don’t you dare saying it’s the most delicious pizza you have ever taste because I know it’s a lie.” Jinyoung asking full of hope that the pizza is good enough for Mark.
“So you’re okay if I said this is the worst then?” Jinyoung didn’t answer, he just looked down but then Mark continue “just kidding Jinyoung. you shouldn’t be too confident either, I’m not gonna say it is the best even if you don’t warn me but to be honest this is the most enjoyable slice of pizza in my life because I know you made it with sincerety, it’s the first time someone cook for me beside my mom. So really, thank you. But I gotta say I know you put a lot of effort on making this pizza because I can taste it’s a bit too salty, you didn’t drop your sweat here, did you?” Mark jokingly said and earned a playful slap on his chest from Jinyoung.
“I’m sorry if it’s not as high as your expection Mr.Tuan, but I’m still relieved you like it though. To be honest this is the first time I cook for someone either beside for my mom and aunt. I’m glad that I did it, Mark Hyung J”
Mark could feel the butterfly inside his stomach hearing Jinyoung calling him like that while looking straight to his eyes. Mark couldn’t help but keep staring back at Jinyoung’s eyes, then move down to the nose until he looks at those plump inviting lips. He moved closer to Jinyoung, seeing the younger didn’t move or push him away, he knows it is the signal that he can continue, he just one centimeter away to capture Jinyoung’s lips when Jinyoung’s aunt suddenly come to the dining room making him remember that they both not alone in the house.
“How’s the pizza Jinyoung? I’m surprised that you both didn’t burn the kitchen cause I can sense it’s getting hot here, isn’t it?” She move closer to take a slice of pizza then go out leaving Mark and Jinyoung alone in the house. After the almost kissed moment, the situation between them is a bit awkward so they just decided to also go out for a walk and Mark also needs some fresh air. Who knows how long he could hold himself back to not pinning Jinyoung on the wall and crashed their lips together until they both running out of breath. Control yourself, Mark.
They’re walking at the park and suddenly talking about their next plan into college.
“I will move out after high school.” Mark muttered but still loud enough for Jinyoung to hear. The younger frowned hearing this from Mark, as Jinyoung’s expression turned down Mark understands that Jinyoung probably misunderstand things. “God No, Jinyoung. I’m not moving out to another country or city, I will still stay here at Seoul (with you). What I’m talking about is I’m going to move out from my home then looking for apartment for my own cause me and my parents think that I mature enough to start living alone.” Mark explained.
“Isn’t it a good thing then? I mean you are free to do what you wanna do. Even go to the damn club. I swear to god I will never forget last week when we went to a club and your parents literally scolded me because they thought I’m the one who asked you to go to club while in fact you are the one who brought me there in the first place. Like why you even forced me to go when you know exactly how strict your parents are, they called you so many times and told you to go home when it was just 11pm, please Mark I guess the main DJ didn’t even arrived yet.” Jinyoung sighed.
“Are you seriously going to talk about that all the time? I’m sorry okay? Well after I move out
