“So when are you moving in with him?”

Jongin looked at Sehun with guilt in his eyes “This weekend.”

Sehun almost dropped his spoon. He knew that it wouldn’t take long for Jongin to move in with Kyungsoo after he bought his own apartment, but he never expected it to be this quick. “That’s… fast.”

“I know it is, but since he’s moving all of his stuff right now we might as well move all mine at the same time.”

Sehun didn’t really know what to say. Of course he was happy for Jongin but this would mean that Sehun would be alone a lot more and they wouldn’t have dinner together anymore, or breakfast like they were now.

“You're not… mad, are you?” Jongin asked carefully.

“No, no not at all. I’m just really gonna miss having someone around when I come home.”

“You can always come over to the new place, you know that right? Or should I buy you a dog or something?”

“Even if we were allowed to have a dog here, it probably wouldn’t survive with me as it’s owner.” Sehun laughed “Besides, I’m more of a cat person.”   

“You can also live with Baekhyun, after seeing his house I bet there is some space left for you to live.”

“I mean… maybe.” Ever since Jongin had brought up wanting to move into with Kyungsoo earlier this week, it had been something that had crossed his mind multiple times. “We haven’t been together for that long so I’m not sure about it. Also I don’t know if his way of living is something I’d like.”

“Well there is only one way to find out. And if you plan to stay with him for the rest of your life you will have to get used to it.”

He knew Jongin was right. Baekhyun had a totally different lifestyle than Sehun and he couldn’t expect the elder to change just for him, he didn’t want Baekhyun to change just for him. Not that his boss was living a bad life right now, it’s just not what Sehun preferred. Although he had to admit that having not to worry about cleaning the house or cooking after coming home from worked sounded pretty nice. Even Baekhyun had told him that when he told Baekhyun about the news.

“So that means you’re gonna be all alone at your apartment?”

Sehun giggled as Baekhyun stood behind his office chair, placing soft kisses in his neck. “Yeah.”

“So that also means I can come over more often, and we can do anything we want without being interrupted.”

“Stop it.” Sehun pushed his boss away playfully “I’m working.”

“You're working for me remember, and now I’m giving you the order to let me do whatever the hell I want with you.” Baekhyun reached his arms around the chair and placed them under Sehun’s shirt.

“You do remember you have an appointment in ten minutes right?”

Baekhyun let out a heavy sigh and placed his chin on Sehun’s shoulder “You can also come live with me as soon as Jongin moves out, I wouldn’t have to bother you so much at work if you did.”

“That would be nice.” Sehun said with a smile, thinking about the idea of him living together with Baekhyun already made him happy. “But who says what you’re doing at work is bothering me?”

Sehun just hadn’t expected for this to happen all so fast, and suddenly the idea of moving in with his boss sounded scary.

“You’re right.” Jongin said “It would be a bit quick.”

“I’ll probably wait till after my exams. Being alone here could actually able me to concentrate on studying.”

“I guess you have a point. I just don’t want you to feel lonely, so even if it may be a bit fast, it might make you more happy than sitting here all on your own.”

Again, Jongin did have a point. “I’ll think about it.” Sehun looked at the clock on the wall seeing it was time for him to leave for work. “Alright, I’m off to my last day.”

“Do you think they’ll get you something?”

“Hmm maybe? But since I’m not really leaving yet I don’t think so. Although, knowing Baekhyun…”

“No don’t even say it, I don’t wanna know what kind of present he would give you at work.”     

“So is this really your last day?”

Sehun looked up from his computer and saw Junmyeon standing right in front of him. “Ooh, good morning Mr Kim. And yes, but also no.”

“Oh really?” Junmyeon walked towards to small lounge facing Sehun’s desk and poured himself a glass of water before he sat down “Tell me about it.”

“So technically it is my last day today, or let’s say the last day of my internship. But after this I only have a few exams left, so on the days I won't be studying I’ll keep working for Mr. Byun until I’m done with school and then I can come work here full time.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Junmyeon smiled “I really want to get you out of this office though. I think you can do so much more than this.”

Sehun felt flattered by the elder’s words “That’s really nice of you to say that Mr. Kim, but this is what I studied for.”

“I know that, so that’s why I think this is a good place for you to start. But in a few years when you’ve grown more familiar with our company I would definitely like to see you in a higher position.”

“Don’t think Baekhyun’s going to allow that.” Both Sehun and Junmyeon turned their head toward the door where Jongdae had suddenly appeared.

“And why not?” Junmyeon asked as he watched Jongdae sit down next to him, taking the glass of water out of his hands and emptying it in one gulp before placing it down on the side table. “Don’t you have anything else to do by the way?”

“Says the guy who’s just sitting here on his lazy .” Jongdae replied with sass in his voice “And what I meant is that Baekhyun wouldn’t allow Sehun to get out of his office.”

“Not if he’d end up on a department with you in it.”

“Ooh sure... like you’re any better to your people.”      

Sehun watched the two bicker back and forth and couldn’t help but to laugh out loud, making them look at him.

“What’s so funny?” Jongdae said.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn't have have laughed.” Sehun quickly apologise.

Junmyeon suddenly hit Jongdae on the arm, making the other whine out loud “You’re scaring him. Anyways why are you here?”

“Baekhyun wanted me to give a message to Sehun, since he wasn’t picking up his phone.”

Sehun quickly checked his phone and realised he had it on silent mode this whole morning and had missed several calls from the elder. He did read the message this morning that Baekhyun wasn’t feeling well and that he wasn’t coming to the office today, but after that he had totally forgotten to check his phone. “He wanted me to tell you that he’s going to fill out your final evaluation form on monday so you can take them to school next week.”

“Thank you Jongdae, now is there anything else you need to bother us with, or can we continue our conversation?” Junmyeon said, pushing Jongdae slightly off of the couch.

“Well there actually is, I was going to ask Sehun if he could do me a favor.”

“What is it?” Sehun asked curiously.

“Well I already asked Baekhyun himself but he doesn’t listen, so maybe you can ask him again for me. Minseok’s birthday is really close and I saw this really nice watch but it’s pretty expensive so-”

“No Jongdae, out.” Junmyeon stood up from the couch and dragged his friend along with him towards the door.

“But I’m saving up for a new car and the guy has enough money, he doesn’t even know what to do with it and-”

The rest of his words were muffled when Junmyeon pushed Jongdae out of the office and closed the door. “So, where were we Sehun?”

“So you’re feeling better now?”

“Much better, I can actually get out of bed now.”

Baekhyun had Jongdae’s call on speaker while he was picking out some clothes to wear for the night.

“And you’re going to the casino with us after all?”

“Nope, I have different plans now.”

He walked away from his closet to grab his watch from the nightstand and laughed when he could still hear the whine coming from the phone on the other side of the room. He strode back and carefully browsed through his rack of casual clothing.

“It’s way less fun without you.”

“Yeah I know why.” Baekhyun laughed “Because then you can’t use my money to gamble.”

“Maybe…”

“You always act like you’re underpaid you ungrateful pig, I know exactly how much you earn and you have no right to complain.”

“Is it because all your money is going to your sweet loverboy now?”

“Yes Dae, I’ve put all my savings into Sehun and there is nothing left for you anymore.” he said in a sarcastic way.

“You’re probably going to see him tonight, aren’t you?”

There was no point in denying it, his best friend knew Sehun would be the only reason he’d say no to a night out with his friends “Yup. Because I actually had a little surprise for him for it was the last day of his internship and I didn’t have the chance to give it to him. So now that I feel better I decided to surprise him with a visit.”

“You probably bought him another car or something.”

“It’s much smaller than that.”

“Ooh I see.” He could hear Jongdae snort on the other end of the line “You want to come over and put like a little bow on it to make it look prettier. I mean you must do something to make your look special.”

“Alright bye Jongdae, nice talking to you.”

“No Baekhyun wait don’t ha-”

Baekhyun shook his head with a small smile when he ended the call with his best friend, but didn’t have any time to put his phone away before he got a call back, but this time it was a video call.

“Yah! Didn’t you insult me enough already?” Baekhyun yelled at the screen as he accepted the call.

“Ooh god I was joking earlier but now that I see that you’re I think you might be serious about that small surprise.”

“I’m not okay?” Well not completely. Baekhyun had just come out of the shower and had only put his underwear on before walking into his closet to pick out something to wear. “And why are you calling me back?”

Jongdae made a pouty face and Baekhyun already knew what was coming. “Remember I asked you something earlier this week. Well I thought maybe you’ve changed your mind and you are so kind to buy me that watch for Min-”  

“Bye Jongdae.”

Baekhyun had trouble finding a parking spot near Sehun’s apartment so he had to park a few blocks away and walk the rest of the way. Maybe it wasn’t a bad thing since his car wasn’t really a silent one, the loud car engine that Sehun probably would’ve had recognised would’ve only ruined the surprise.

With a smile on his face and a confident pace he made his way towards Sehun’s place, but not even a street away from his parking spot, his phone started to ring. He took it out of his pocket and saw Junmyeon’s name on the screen. It was probably work related so he answered the call while continuing to walk.

“Jun, what’s up? I don’t have much time.”

“It’s okay Baekhyun, it’ll only take a few minutes. I’m just looking over that last contract we set up with the new investor and I’m wondering if we should change one thing.”

“Why are you calling me about that now and why are you at the office on a Friday night?”

“They called today saying they want to sign it on Monday morning, and I didn’t feel like working on it on the weekend. What’s all the background noise, are you outside?”

Junmyeon probably heard the cars rushing by him and just like with Jongdae, there was no reason to lie to his friend. “Yeah I’m on my way to Sehun’s place.”

“So you won’t be joining us later for casino night? Aah that’s a shame. Anyways let me get it straight to it so I wouldn’t bother you for too long. So you remember the proposal we made about-”

While he was listening to Junmyeon talking he put his left hand in his pocket, taking out the little surprise he had brought for Sehun and holding it in front if him, smiling as he could already imagine Sehun’s face when he would receive it.

“-so what do you think?”

“I mean we can always try to make them agree, if they refuse we can always discuss it with them on Monday morning. I’m feeling better now so I’ll definitely be there. Or do you have a better idea?”

“Well I was thinking that maybe we could-”

Baekhyun could see Sehun’s apartment building now and his heart started to beat faster. As he got closer and closer he suddenly noticed two figures standing in the front parking lot of the building, and he didn’t need to look twice to know that one of them was Sehun. He halted his steps and looked at them from a distance, wanting to end the phone call with Junmyeon first before approaching them.

“So we could change that one detail and maybe they’ll agree with it right away.”

In the meantime Baekhyun had identified the other person as Jongin, he had noticed the two were checking out a car on the parking lot, probably Jongin’s new car or something from what he could see.

“Baekhyun are you still listening?”

“Ooh yeah… sorry, my mind was drifting off. But I think we maybe shouldn’t change anything and take the risk. If they agree with our original contract we’ll get much more out of them.”

“But do we wanna take a risk? This is a big deal Baekhyun, I don’t know if we want to risk them saying no without wanting to discuss it afterwards. I’ve already done some calculations on how much the differences would be and it’s not that bad. Wait I have them here in front of me. So let’s say we keep the terms I just proposed, we’d lose about… let me see…maybe two percent of the investments but I might’ve even found a way to reduce it only to one percent and-”

Baekhyun really wanted to concentrate on all the numbers and calculations Junmyeon had prepared and worked so hard on, but his full attention went to the things going on in the distance, when what seemed like a taxi, stopped right in front of the parking lot Sehun and Jongin were standing on. Baekhyun watched carefully how a young woman in high heels stepped out of it, and he didn’t miss the two boys paying attention to her too.

The driver helped her get a big suitcase out of the taxi and drove off, leaving the girl alone on the sidewalk. He couldn’t help but to feel a bit of jealousy when he noticed the two boys still staring at her. All he wanted now was to end Junmyeon’s call and walk up to Sehun with the girl still there, reminding his boyfriend who he belonged to.

“Jun, I really have to go now. Is it okay if I call you back about this tomorrow?”

“I guess, if you really have no time right now. I just want to tell you one last thing okay, so I actually asked the head of the investment department already about this but I quickly want your opinion on it. So what if we-”

Baekhyun was still keeping his eye on this girl, who was looking around like she had no idea where she was. And as much Baekhyun still was trying to concentrate on his phone call, what happened next almost made him drop his phone.

It all happened so fast. The girl suddenly noticed the two boys and screamed so loud even Baekhyun could hear if from across the street. She quickly ran up to one of them, who Baekhyun had clearly identified as Sehun, connected their lips in a hard kiss and embraced him with all her strength.

Baekhyun turned around, he didn’t need to see any more of it. His left hand was white from squeezing it into an angry fist, his gift tightly wrapped inside of it.  

“Baekhyun? Baekhyun are you there? Hello?”

“Jun, I’ll pick you up at eleven. I’m going all in tonight.”
