Chapter 18

HOME [GOTWICE FANFICTION]

Bambam, Mark and Jaebum were having breakfast together while Jaebum waited for the three girls to finish getting ready. Not long after, Dahyun, Mina and Sana came downstairs. Mark's eyes lit up as soon as he saw Sana.

"Good morning!" Mark greeted with a smile, although the greet wasn't specified to anyone, but his eyes were set on Sana. Sana walked to him and pinched both his cheeks.

"Good morning," She replied. Mark's smile grew wider before he tapped the chair beside him, gesturing Sana to sit beside him. Both of them then got caught in their own world, having small talk while sharing their breakfast.

On the other hand, Dahyun diverted her gaze at Jaebum, and coincidentally (or maybe not), Jaebum was looking at her too. Dahyun puffed her cheeks and rolled her eyes, creating a silly face and Jaebum smiled slightly before he looked down to hide his laugh. Dahyun had to bit her inner cheeks to refrain herself from laughing too.

Meanwhile...

Bambam panicked when he saw the girls coming to the dining table. He couldn't sleep last night because he was so embarassed at his sudden confession to Mina. If you ask him does he regret the confession, yes, he regret it. He should've apologized without confessing, it would be less embarassing, at least, since he really think Mina is way too good for someone like him.

Bambam looked up slightly, and immediately his eyes met with Mina's. He wanted to look away, but before he managed to, Mina gave him a smile.

No. He's not melting.

Mina went to the kitchen, probably to refill her water bottle as usual. Bambam were reminded to the conversation they had last night, after the 'fight' between Jinyoung and Nayeon calmed down.

"I thought about it..." Mina started. Bambam nodded nervously, waiting for her to continue.

"I forgive you," Mina said. Bambam looked at her with widened eyes. A smile started to slowly formed on his lips as he couldn't contained the excitement. He had been wanting to hear the words from Mina for weeks already.

"Really? Thank you, I... I don't deserve it, but thank you," Bambam said.

"No, don't say like that, Bam. And I want us to become friends like before. Like, you know, no more awkwardness? And about your uhm... confession... I'm sorry that for now, I can't accept and do anything about it," Mina said. Bambam smiled as he nodded, he understood her and like he said, he still think he's lacking so much to be with someone like her, so he was thankful for her decision.

"But, I'll think about it. You're a good friend, a good person overall, I just need some time," Mina added.

"No, it's okay, Mina. No pressure. I don't want my feelings to burden you. I'm okay even if you don't want to talk to me. I'm happy just by you forgave me," Bambam said. Mina smiled at his words. Now she's confused, whether it's he who didn't deserve her, or her who didn't deserve someone like him.

"Thank you, Bam," Mina said.

Yugyeom and Tzuyu waited for the bus together at the bus stop. Both of them were holding hands as they looked at each other with love in the eyes, anyone witnessing them probably would've never thought it's their first day together.

Not long after, the bus arrived and both of them got on the bus. Unfortunate for them, the bus today was quite packed and there were no more empty seat for them to sit. Both of them stood close to each other as they held the handle.

Tzuyu was looking down at her phone screen when Yugyeom looked around, and noticed a few guys who sat nearby were eyeing his girlfriend. Yugyeom tried to ignore it, thinking it might be just him misunderstanding the guys.

"Wow, she's really pretty!" Yugyeom's ears managed to catch the guys' conversation.

"She doesn't look like Korean. Maybe foreigner?"

"Yeah, I think so too. She should be a model instead," This time, Yugyeom turned around, and it's confirmed that the guys were talking about Tzuyu. The descriptions and the direction of their eyes said it all. Yugyeom's hand reached out to hold Tzuyu's hand that he let go just now. Tzuyu who was oblivious to what's happening accepted it with a smile.

", she has a boyfriend already,"

"I don't care. Damn, look at those long legs,"

"It's a shame she wears jeans,"

Yugyeom's blood was boiling inside. He turned around once again and looked at the guys, longer this time. The guys noticed and looked at him back, as if they did nothing wrong.

"Excuse me, but please don't say things like that about my girlfriend," Yugyeom said. The guys rolled their eyes and mumbled, probably curses under their breath. A few people around them looked at the guys too, which probably why they didn't fight back. They soon looked away, and Yugyeom finally turned his head again, only to see Tzuyu was looking at him in confusion.

"Why, oppa? Did anything happen?" Tzuyu asked. Yugyeom gave her a smile before his arm circled around her waist. He took a small step forward to stand closer to her.

"Nothing, just a few bad guys," Yugyeom said. Tzuyu nodded, and smiled afterwards.

"Other than in your college, I think I should be with you everywhere you go," Yugyeom said.

"Why?" She asked.

"The guys here are all wolves. Of course, except for me. So I have to protect you,"

"Oppa, don't worry. I can protect myself. I'm a grown up!," Tzuyu said, cheerfully.

"Says someone who got lost looking for a shop," Yugyeom teased. Tzuyu pinched his hand on her waist lightly, causing Yugyeom to frowned in pain.

"But I have a saviour now, so I don't have to worry if I'm lost again," Tzuyu said. Yugyeom laughed.

"As much as I love to be with you, or skipping the boring class to see you, please take care of yourself. You don't know how nervous I am to let you go alone," Yugyeom said. Tzuyu smiled at his words. There something about Yugyeom that made her feel safe, even though they're not together.

"Alright, oppa. Every time I'm about to do something stupid, I'll remember you," Tzuyu said. Yugyeom smiled as he pinched Tzuyu's cheeks.

"Cute,"

Nayeon was about to enter the kitchen when she stopped immediately because someone were walking out from it, and that someone was Jinyoung. Nayeon's pair of surprised eyes met with Jinyoung's, that were staring at her coldly. He then looked away in an instance and walked pass Nayeon, even moving a few steps away to walk further from her.

Nayeon let out a heavy sigh as she felt her eyes got teary again. She knew she didn't deserve to feel upset after what she put Jinyoung through these past few months. She  thought about it a lot when she couldn't sleep last night, and she realized that she didn't look at things from Jinyoung's perspective when she made the ridiculous decision before. She knew it was her fault, and she deserved this.

Nayeon knew she ed up real bad, and there was no way for her and Jinyoung to be together again.

Jinyoung never look away whenever their eyes meet. No matter what. Even after they broke up, it was always her who looked away first.

And Jinyoung just looked away from her just now.

He probably hated her so much right now.

Nayeon wiped her eyes with the end of her sweater's sleeve. She knew the last time she made a decision that she thought was the best, she was wrong.

But this time, she made another decision, that she was sure, is the best. For her, and for Jinyoung.

She's moving out from the house.

On that night, Jaebum came downstairs later than the others and had ask the members to eat dinner first. When he arrived at the dining table, the members were already halfway through dinner, and unlike what Jaebum thought, he wasn't the last one to be there. Jaebum took his seat beside Jackson before he elbowed his side.

"Where's Jinyoung?" Jaebum asked.

"He said he's not hungry, and is sleeping upstairs," Jackson said. Jaebum's eyebrows met in confusion, before he diverted his gaze to Nayeon, who barely even touched the rice in her bowl. Jaebum sighed, already knowing the reason of Jinyoung's absence.

After he finished his dinner, Jaebum went to Jinyoung's room and knocked the door. He could hear Jinyoung hummed lazily in respond, so he twisted the knob and peeked his head through the door.

"Oh, hyung... Why?" Jinyoung who was lying on his bed asked.

"Want to have drinks with me?"

Jaebum brought Jinyoung out to the park nearby after buying a few cans of beer. They sat at the basketball court, Jaebum with legs straighten to the front while Jinyoung sat crossed-legs.

Jaebum opened a can before handing it to Jinyoung, and the younger accepted it. Both of them were not heavy drinkers, none of the house members are, actually. But on 'special ocassion', they had their fair share of drinking together.

And tonight was one of it.

"Are you feeling better after last night?" Jaebum asked, without even wasting his time to talk about other unnecessary things. Jinyoung took his first sip of the drink.

"Honestly, I don't know. I don't know what to feel and what I'm feeling right now," Jinyoung said as he just look straight to the front, staring at the empty court with empty gaze.

"It must've been really hard for you," Jaebum said.

"It is. The moment I knew the truth, I'm just so mad. At my sister, at Nayeon. Both of them are precious to me, I trust boht of them with my whole heart, hyung. Even till this second, Nayeon is still precious to me. But the betrayed feelings is too much for me to accept," Jinyoung said. He took another sip of beer before he continued.

"But you know what's funny, hyung?" Jinyoung asked. Jaebum just shrugged, asking the younger to continue.

"I believe I have every right to be angry, to yell out my frustration towards her, but I couldn't sleep a wink last night because I feel bad. I feel sorry instead. I'm suppose to hate her, but here I am, I can't even look at her in the eyes because I can't bear seeing the eyebags under her eyes. Either because she cried too much, or she didn't get enough sleep, I'm pretty sure it was all because of me and I feel bad, hyung," Jinyoung ended his rant with a sigh. He looked down to his legs, hiding his face from Jaebum. Jaebum put down his beer and tapped Jinyoung's shoulder repeatedly.

"That means, there's a part of you that still cares about her. Whether you want it or not, you still have it. I don't know about your love towards her, that's not something I know or I can tell you, but only you can do something about your feelings. Give it a deep thought, Jinyoung, give her a chance to explain herself," Jaebum said.

"I'm torn in two, hyung. A part of me believe that she must've had her reasons, but another part of me just can't accept it. It's like even if I give her a chance, I could never look at her the same. I could never love her like she never doubted me," Jinyoung said, before he finished his first can of beer. He reached out and opened another one, but he just put it down on the court.

"Remember back then when I ask you why you fell for her?" Jaebum asked. Jinyoung didn't respond, but Jaebum knew he was thinking of it.

"Remember your answer? Think of it again. Think of why you fell for her at the first place. What makes her different? What makes her special? Are you going to let one mistake to overpower all of the reason?" Jaebum asked. Jinyoung took a deep breath.

"I'm hurt, hyung. You don't understand," Jinyoung said. Jaebum nodded, acknowledging the younger's words.

"Alright, I'm sorry if I pushed you too far," Jaebum said. Jinyoung let out a low "It's okay" as a reply. Both of them were caught in a silent for a while, bofore Jaebum spoke up again.

"Nayeon asked me to keep this a secret, but I just think that you should know," Jinyoung looked at Jaebum after he finished his sentence.

"Why? What is it?" Jinyoung asked. Jaebum mentally sighed. It's obvious that Jinyoung still care, a lot, about Nayeon but he was just in denial, and Jaebum couldn't do anything to change what Jinyoung force his own self to believe. Jaebum could only hope that Jinyoung will realize it soon, before it was too late.

"She's moving out soon," Jaebum said. Jinyoung let out a heavy sigh before he looked away, throwing his gaze forward again.

"I don't know, hyung. Maybe it's the best if we part ways now. If she didn't move out, I probably will," Jinyoung said. Jaebum's jaw dropped at the younger's reply. He thought Jinyoung would give more positive reply like, he will think about it, or maybe he will freak out a little, but no. Jinyoung looked like he was ready to accept whatever happening to him and Nayeon. It looked like he already gave up on them. And Jaebum could never imagine that there will come the day where Jinyoung giveing up on Nayeon.

It's true, pain does change people.

Coming home after the talk with Jaebum, Jinyoung went straight to his room. Mark who was lying on the couch, sat up as he followed Jinyoung's steps with his eyes. He then looked at Jaebum with raised brows, as if asking "How did thing goes?" but the younger just shook his head.

Jaebum threw himself on the couch next to Mark. Only both of them were at the living room, because the others were either sleeping or studying at their room. The house were filled with gloominess now because of what happened between Jinyoung and Nayeon. None of them really had the mood to joke around, even the noisy Jackson, crazy Bambam and dorky Dahyun, because they themselves feel sad to witness the two like this. All of them were rooting for them to be together again, and then this happened, so of course they feel the sadness too.

"Is he okay?" Mark asked.

"He's still confused with his feelings. I tried convincing him, I've done my best, but in the end it's all up to him. We can't force it," Jaebum replied. Mark nodded.

"Nayeon didn't look good either. Jeongyeon told the girls that she cried again after dinner," Mark said. Jaebum didn't bother to ask how did Mark know the things between the girls. He probably heard it from Sana.

"Do you think we have any other way to help them?" Jaebum asked.

"I did think of something..." Mark trailed off. Jaebum looked at him, trying to read his mind.

"What?" Mark gave Jaebum a small smile.

"Does camping sounds nice to you?"

He sure knows what to say to tzuyu to make her smile. Lastly, BaMina. Cute. What more can I say, from what they been through, I think it's safe to safe that they're meant to be together like pieces of a puzzle, they complete each other..... Oh love. Look what you've done.

When will the next update be? I don't mean to to rush you but that's what I really meant.....Kidding (serious face).

I wonder what Momo's dad's reaction's gonna be, if Jackson ever got the chance to meet her family like mark.
In real life tho, I already feel bad for Momo's future bf cuz have you seen her Dad's biceps? Mina too, but since her dad looks sweet, her brother on the other hand is huge asf. He'll be like, touch my sister and I'll end you.
