(Kyuhyun's POV)

I woke to the aroma of rice porridge.

It smelled...really nice.

I rubbed my eyes as I looked around to where I was.

I was in bed...but not my bed.

I noticed the class and space of the room.

Whoever lives here is single, I thought.

The door was half open and I guessed someone was cooking.

I tried to get up, but my head hurt.

I breathed in and out a couple of times and then tried to get up again.

I walked cautiously out of the room.

There was a big living room ahead of me, but the smell came from the right.

I turned around, and sure enough the kitchen and dining table was there.

Seohyun was cooking something.

She turned towards me.

"You're awake," she said.

I opened my mouth to speak, but decided not to.

How...did I end up here?

She poured the porridge into a bowl and placed it on the table.

"Have some," she said.

Seohyun walked back to the kitchen to get her breakfast before going back to the table and taking a seat.

I walked slowly towards the table.

What exactly happened?

"Oh crap..." I muttered under my breath.

"What's wrong?" she looked up at me.

"Sorry about last night.

I was drunk and..."

God, I hope I didn't say anything stupid.

"It's okay," she said, laughing under her breath.

"I can't remember anything so..."

"Don't worry about it, I'm used to it.

You always can't remember anything after getting really drunk," she said as she bit a piece off the toast.

I didn't say anything.

I looked down at my porridge.

It was so pretty and picture-perfect.

It was just like Seohyun to be as flawless as ever.

Suddenly, a flashback of when we first met went through my mind.

I was playing outside our house in the snow.

Eomeoni let me play because she knew how bored I was inside.

"Eomma is sorry for not being able to play with our Kyu.

You know little Ara can't go out in the cold, right?" she told me.

I nodded, though I still didn't understand her.

Eomeoni was pregnant with my yeodongsaeng* that time, and I was only six.

I dug my shoes deep into the snow, until I heard a demanding, little voice over the fence.

"You're not very smart, are you?"

I turned to the voice, ready to give her a piece of my mind.

"You know that you'll ruin your shoes if you keep at it, and your toes will go numb from the cold," she continued.

But when I saw a pretty little girl with an intimidating look on, I couldn't bring myself to say anything for that matter.

She wore her white coat and her long hair was in pigtails.

"I...didn't know that..." I muttered instead.

"Does it taste weird?" Seohyun snapped at me.

I looked up.

"Huh? No, it tastes really good," I said.

"Then what's so funny?" she demanded.

I was laughing out loud?

"I just...remembered something," I scratched my head.

She seemed convinced.

"Well, if you say so then," she said, trying to keep the ferocity in her voice.

She got back to eating her breakfast.

Back then, I dreamt about marrying the pretty little girl who lived next door to us, but I thought she was way out of my league, so I had a one-sided crush on her for years, and along the way, we became bestfriends.

I didn't know I'd actually marry her.

And I never thought...I'd let her go just like that.

"Oh right," she shot up suddenly, disturbing my thoughts.

She got up and took a flyer that was on the fridge and handed it to me.

"Do you remember Mina from highschool?" she asked.

I studied the flyer carefully.

"Mina? The one who moved to the US on a scholarship?" I asked back.

She nodded.

"Well, Soori met up with her in the airport and sent that through our email.

It's our highschool reunion this weekend," Seohyun said.

"Oh, okay," I muttered.

Daebak Highschool Batch of 2002 reunion, I read.

"Wait a sec," I wondered out loud.

"You went through our email?

I thought that was already de-activated," I said.

Seohyun avoided my gaze and disregarded my question by drinking from her cup.

"It's not a crime to check it.

It's my email too..." she mumbled.

Well, she was right about that.

"But wait a sec, if this was sent through our combined email, then does that mean...?"

I gave her a 'it's not that, right?' look.

"Oh My God, you expect me to finish you sentence again?" she asked, frustrated.

She sighed exaggeratedly.

"Yes! They don't know we're divorced," she said, annoyed.

My eyes widened.

"How...are we gonna fix this?" he asked.

She sighed, relaxed.

"I think we're gonna have to pretend we're still married this time," she replied, sighing like it was such a mess.

I couldn't help smiling.

Seohyun shot me a scary look.

I got back to eating my porridge innocently.
