"Kids, our new room mate has arrived", SungGyu shouted, but the other members were too engaged at their "personal" activities to look at him.

"Let's give her a tour of the dormitory", the manager suggested.

As they entered, Mavonne couldn't help to feel amused at what she saw. The apartment is big, yes, but the place needs to be cleaned; candy wrappers strewn at the floor, unwashed dishes, she could sense the awful ambiance the place emitted.

The three os them approached the living room. SungGyu couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief as he saw the the other members not paying attention to him.

"Kids, this is...", SungGyu spoke louder in order for the others to hear, and looked at Mavonne, hinting her to introduce herself.

"I'm Mavonne, but you can call me Mav", Mavonne silently spoke.

Upon hearing her speak, the boys suddenly stood up, shocked to hear a female voice. "I already knew from JungYeop - sajjangnim that we will be having a new room mate for a while... I just thought he would be... one of us", the one with a flashy set of teeth commented.

One of us? What does he mean by that?, Mavonne thought, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I didn't mean to offend you. I'm sorry. What I meant was I thought that you're a guy", the boy quickly apologized after receiving a deathly glare from SungGyu.

"'Tis okay", Mavonne quickly replied with an assuring smile. The boy returned the smile, feeling relieved.

"Since she'll be staying here for the next two months, please look after her. JungYeop - ssajangnim specifically told me that. If I heard any reckless attempts to make her feel uncomfortable and scared, you know what will happen", the manager warned them.

"Don't worry, hyung. We'll take care of her" SungGyu assured him while resting his arm at Mavonne's shoulders. Mavonne couldn't help but stiffen from the sudden skinship.

"That settles it then. I'll leave her in your care. Mav, you know you can call me anytime you need me. You already know my number... oh, and sajjangnim told me that he wants to meet you tomorrow afternoon. I can pick you up from here", the manager said.

"Okay. Thank you, Sunho - ssi" Mavonne replied, feeling thankful towards him.

"You can call me 'oppa' if it makes you feel comfortable", the manager said with a grin plastered on his face.

Snickers were heard from the members after the manager made that statement.

"Aren't you too old to be called 'oppa', hyung?", the one with the sparkly eyes remarked, getting an approving chuckle from the others.

"Aish, these kids. I'm off then. Remember: take good care of her", the manager reminded them.

"Bye, hyung", the members replied in unison.

As soon as the manager left, SungGyu ushered her to the living room while setting aside her luggage near their couch. When she finally sat, the other members looked at her intenly, their eyes filled with curiosity.

"So Mav, how old are you?", the one with a gummy smile asked.

"In Korean age, I'm 18. So basically, I'm only 17", Mavonne replied.

"You're so young! I thought that you're a college student?", the member asked again.

"From where I'm from, we don't have to go through junior high and senior high", Mavonne explained.

"So, do you know who we are?", the sparkly-eyed boy queried.

"Uh, honestly... no", Mavonne answered, feeling uneasy. She didn't expect that she'll be bombarded with questions upon her arrival since she assumed that the manager told them everything that they needed to know about her.

The members were shocked upon hearing her reply.

"I'll give you a hint: Naekkeo hajja, Naega neol saranghae, eo...", SungGyu sang.

"Nope. I really don't know", Mavonne replied, hoping that the conversation will end.

"Seriously, you really don't know us?", asked the one boy with small eyes in shock. Mav gave him a quizzical look while shaking her head.

"But you're aware of K-Pop, right?", the other one with a cold vibe asked calmly.

"I recognize you and him", pointing to the the latter and the boy beside him.

"I guess we need to introduce ourselves, then", the one with the sparkling eyes said.

Standing up and taking a few steps backward, the members greeted Mavonne with their signature introduction.

"Annyeong haseyo, Mavonne-ssi. We are INFINITE!~"

INFINITE. The name sounds familiar...

"Ah, you sang 'Man In Love', right?", Mavonne asked enthusiastically, suddenly recalling.

"That's right!", the sparkly - eyed boy replied, thrilled.

"Kids, I think we should introduce ourselves first. You already know my name. I'm the eldest and the leader of INFINITE", SungGyu said.

"I'm Jang DongWoo, and I'm in charge of rapping together with Hoya", DongWoo greeted with overflowing excitement.

He seems... optimistic, Mavonne thought.

"I'm Lee Howon, Hoya for short and I'm in - charge of dancing and INFINITE's choreography", Hoya greeted in a calmer tone compared to DongWoo.

"I'm Lee SungJong, and I'm the maknae of the group", SungJong greeted cheerfully.

Mavonne could feel her cheeks heat up as she gazed upon SungJong. He gives off a girly and a manly charm. SungJong returned the gaze, smiling as he saw Mavonne looking at him.

She thought the greetings were finished because of the silence that followed when suddenly, SungGyu started scolding the member standing beside SungJong.

"MyungSoo - yah, aren't you going to introduce yourself?" SungGyu asked, feeling irritated.

Mavonne didn't even sense the other boy's presence. It's as if he wasn't really there. She could feel a cold vibe emanating from him.

"Kim MyungSoo, but I prefer to be called L", the boy simply said and quickly excused himself. Mavonne thought the boy was tired, an excuse for his sudden departure, but she couldn't help but sense that he didn't like the idea of a girl living with them.

"Don't worry too much about him" SungGyu said in a comforting tone.

He... I...

"Come on. I'll show you to your room" offered SungJong, making Mavonne blush hard.

"Thank you, SungJong - ssi", Mavonne replied with a smile.

"Call me 'oppa'", SungJong retorted with a chuckle.

"Okay, oppa", Mavonne quickly answered.

"I'll show you around the dorm after SungJong has helped you settle down in your room", SungGyu told her.

"Hope you enjoy your stay here", DongWoo remarked, causing the girl to give a small laugh.

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask us", HoYa added, sounding like a hotel staff.

"Thank you SungGyu - ssi, DongWoo - ssi, HoYa - ssi", Mavonne thanked them. She could feel that the boys are trying to make her feel welcomed... except for one.

As SungJong and Mavonne walked through the hall, SungJong noticed the confused look from Mavonne's face.

"Still worried about MyungSoo - hyung?", the boy asked with a concerned expression.

Mavonne was taken aback when she heard SungJong's question. To hide her emotions, she tried to divert the topic of the conversation.

"Aren't you supposed to be seven in the group, oppa?", Mavonne asked, hoping that he will buy it.

"Ah, yes. SungYeol - hyung and WooHyun - hyung are currently shooting a drama. Maybe you'll be able to meet them tomorrow", SungJong answered.

When they reached Mavonne's room, SungJong asked Mavonne if she would like him to help arrange her luggage but Mavonne refused, quickly adding that she needed a nap and would settle her things on a later time.

"The offer is still open. Just knock at my door if you need any help. My room is beside the bathroom", SungJong informed her.

"Thank you so much, oppa", Mavonne thanked him.

As she entered her room, she observed its layout. The room is quite cozy; a cabinet attached to the wall, a desk beside it, a laundry basket, a shoe rack, and at the opposite side of the room, a twin - size bed with an intricate abstract painting above it. She liked how the colors of the furniture and the walls complemented with one another. The moment she saw the bed, she threw herself towards it. She tried to comfort herself by drowning herself in her thoughts.

They're nice... but L...

She couldn't help but feel hurt, recalling the boy's reaction towards her a while ago.

Everything will work out, she told herself and drifted to sleep.
