Diligent about her morning routine, Mav woke up after hearing the sound of her alarm. Automatically, she stood up, said her prayers, and fixed her bed. She recalled that today is their welcoming party at the university. She brushed aside the idea and went straight to the kitchen to cook breakfast. She absentmindedly grabbed the ingredients needed to make army stew and started preparing the dish. MyungSoo's fit yesterday was still playing at the back of her mind, causing her to become more cautious and afraid. While she was slicing some tofu, she was surprised when she felt a pair of hands touched her shoulders, causing her to flinch.

"Good morning", an energetic SungYeol greeted.

"Oh, good morning, SungYeol - ssi", Mav replied glumly. SungYeol noticed the tone of her voice and quickly gave her an apologetic look.

"Sorry, did I scare you?", SungYeol asked worriedly.

"Ahh, not really. I was just surprised, that's all. Anyway, why are you already awake? It's only 5 in the morning", Mav forced a smile on her face.

"I heard footsteps. I thought there was a burglar or something", SungYeol jokingly replied.

"Sorry if I woke you up", Mav apologized, feeling guilty but SungYeol gave her a smile.

"Don't worry. I meant to wake up anyway", SungYeol said, patting her head.

SungYeol proceeded to the bathroom. Mav continued with the breakfast preparations: setting the table, preparing the dishes. One by one, the members started to wake up. Each of them gave their morning greetings to Mav, and even WooHyun managed to give Mav a nod to acknowledge her presence, making her feel relieved. On the other hand, MyungSoo gave her the cold shoulder, causing Mav to sigh as she left the kitchen to take a bath, earning a worried look from SungGyu. MyungSoo's frustration towards her wasn't new, and she decided to shrug it off. SungGyu began to worry about her, recalling the incident yesterday with MyungSoo. She didn't even reply to their morning greetings, he thought. As the members sat down to eat, DongWoo noticed the SungGyu's frown and became concerned about him. It's already enough that the leader is constantly worrying about the concert and preparations for another comeback. Being concerned about Mav is another thing that adds to SungGyu's stress. As they continued to finish their breakfast, DongWoo decided to do something about it.

As soon as they were ready to leave for practice, SungGyu offered Mav a ride to the university, in which Mav immediately refused. With her response, SungGyu frowned again and decided not to persuade the younger to join them, thinking that she may need space. On one side, another member was happy that she won't be coming along with them.

Classes were dismissed early because of the welcome party later at the university gym. Mav's colleagues began to gather to themselves and started talking about their expectations about the party. Mav decided to join them for her to feel the hype, hoping that it will take her mind off her worries. They began to talk about their outfits, their possible "dates" of the night. The purpose of the whole party is for socializing and Mav couldn't help but be excited; meeting new friends, good food, endless music.

Maybe this will be fun, she thought as she drowned herself in the mindless chatters of her colleagues.

"Kids, we'll only practice until 12 NN", SungGyu informed the members, holding a water bottle in one hand. The others were lying flat on the floor, exhausted from their practice.

"Nice!", DongWoo shouted excitedly despite being tired, earning a weak laugh from the others.

"As for SungYeol and WooHyun, I heard from SunHo hyung that you have a schedule today?", SungGyu suddenly added, earning an exasperarted look from SungYeol.

"Hyung, can't we just ditch it?", SungYeol asked, rolling his body to the other side.

"SungYeol - ah, you can't simply do that. Don't worry, I think it'll be quick since we already practiced our scenes", WooHyun weakly punched SungYeol's shoulder.

"Okay, okay. Might as well leave now if we want to arrive home early", the younger suggested, standing up and offering a hand to lift WooHyun up, in which the older happily obliged.

They made their way to the door and left. Silence filled the room when suddenly, HoYa turned to MyungSoo and shot a question.

"MyungSoo - yah, what about the filming for our drama? I know I'll only have a few scenes--", HoYa asked with a worried look when MyungSoo cut him off.

"Hyung, let's just enjoy this time now, just worrying about our concert and comeback. Having another schedule would have me breaking down", MyungSoo huffed with irritation, catching HoYa by surprise.

There was no tension in the room but MyungSoo's tone caused DongWoo and SungJong to become surprised. SungGyu suddenly sat by MyungSoo's side, not uttering a single word, in which MyungSoo appreciated.

He needs his "alone" time, SungGyu thought.

After resting for a few minutes, the members started to pack up, and left the practice room. They felt relieved when they saw the manager's car already outside the building. They can't wait to get home and rest. On the other hand, DongWoo couldn't wait to talk to Mav when they arrive.

Mav arrived at two in the afternoon. Seeing that the members' shoes are on the shoe rack, she assumed that the others were already home. The glimpse of SungJong at the couch sleeping validated Mav's assumptions.

She approached the boy and stared at him for a few minutes. She was tempted to touch his face, but restrained herself from doing so. She kneeled on the floor and continued examining the boy's facial features; his smooth skin, his pink lips, his silky hair, Mav couldn't help but smile, retaining in her mind the view that she was looking at just now. She was about to stand up when suddenly, a hand grabbed her wrist, causing her to sit on the floor.

"Where do you think you're going?", SungJong asked Mav jokingly, his eyes still closed, his lips forming a smile.

"I was just, uh, starting to cle--", Mav tried to stand, only to be pulled by SungJong again.

"Clean later. Just... stay here", SungJong pleaded, slowly standing up, opening his eyes.

Mav attempted to stand up again, with force, causing SungJong to flinch.

"Sorry, oppa. I need to clean right away. We have a party at the university by 6", Mav apologized.

"Is that so? Then I'll help you clean", SungJong offered, in which Mav obliged.

"Thanks", she muttered, her cheeks blushing.

Since Mav has to focus on cleaning the bathroom, it only took them an hour to clean the house. After they had finished cleaning, they both sat on the couch and rested for a few minutes. Mav couldn't help but feel conscious as she caught SungJong staring at her, suddenly inching to sit close to her.

SungJong, on the other hand, was having fun teasing Mav. He knew that staring at her would make her feel uneasy, but he wanted to look at her reaction. With an effort to finally break the silence, Mav spoke out.

"Oppa, how was--", when suddenly a loud slam on the door startled them both. Searching for the source of the sound, their eyes began to wander on the figure towards the bathroom. MyungSoo had just woken up and upon seeing SungJong and Mav on the couch, he felt annoyed.

Why does SungJong care for her so much? He barely knows her, he thought as he made his way to the bathroom.

"I should change... wouldn't want to be late for the party", Mav excused herself as she stood up and went to her room. SungJong was surprised with her abrupt behavior towards him but decided to brush it off.

It only took an hour for Mav to prepare; taking a bath and choosing a dress. She picked a beige cocktail dress with long, see - through sleeves, and picked a strapped wedged sandal for her shoes. She didn't have a high fashion sense but she can see if the outfit looks good on her, and as far as dressing is concern, she thought that she looked decent.

She was about to leave her room when she saw an excited DongWoo waiting for her outside her door.

"I'll take you to your party", DongWoo told her, his jacket wrapped around his arm, his car keys on his right hand.

"DongWoo - ssi, you don't have--", Mav explained whe Dong Woo waved his hand.

"I'm not taking 'no' for an answer", DongWoo insisted, leaving Mav speechless.

Mav was hesitant at first but finally nodded as a sign of agreement. Picking up her bag on the side table, the two went out of the apartment and got inside DongWoo's car. Mav fumbled at her seat, trying to get her seat belt on.

"Let me get that for you", DongWoo offered, reaching out to Mav's seat belt and finally buckled it.

"Thank you. I'm not really used to fastening my seat belt since I don't usually get shotgun at our place", Mav said with a faint laugh.

"Well, today's your lucky day", DongWoo replied with a wide smile, infecting Mav with his bright aura.

He started the engine and the two went off to the university. Since they're travelling by car, Mav assumed that it would only take them 12 - 15 minutes for them to arrive. Drowned in her thoughts, she was startled when DongWoo spoke.

"So Mav, how's your stay so far?", DongWoo asked, his eyes focused on the road.

"It's... nice", Mav replied, trying to sound happy. DongWoo noticed the glum in Mav's eyes as she stared outside through the car window.

"You know, it's my first time to see SungGyu hyung and SungJong - goon act very cute and friendly towards other people... especially girls", DongWoo said, in which Mav gave her a confusing look.

"Why's that? I mean, you get to see different people everyday and--", Mav retorted but DongWoo cute her off unintentionally.

"It's just been a few days since you arrived but they're already showering you with affection. I guess they really must want a younger sister, especially SungGyu", DongWoo told her.

"How about you, DongWoo - ssi? Do you have a younger sister?", Mav asked with interest.

"I do but not a dongsaeng... a noona", DongWoo added.

"Ahh. I guess she must be pretty, given that you're handsome", Mav complimented him with a chuckle, causing DongWoo to be caught off - guard.

"I guess... you can say that...", DongWoo shyly replied.

The trip only took a few minutes but their conversation never stopped. DongWoo told her about his family and hobbies while Mav told him about her expectations in school and her dream to become a social scientist. It was the first time DongWoo talked to Mav alone. He sensed why SungGyu wanted to be with her almost everyday. She's very easy to talk to and a good listener. Mav felt the same with DongWoo. She couldn't help but feel amazed of DongWoo's optimism and energy but what made her smile the most is his laugh; loud and full of joy. 

When they arrived at the university, Mav unfastened her seatbelt and quickly stepped out of the car, in which DongWoo did the same.

"Do you want me to you?" DongWoo offered.

"It's okay, DongWoo - ssi. We wouldn't want to cause... well... a mass 'uproar'", Mav teasingly refused. DongWoo understood what she meant.

"I guess you could say that. Well, I better go. Hope that you'll enjoy the party. Have a good time and avoid causing trouble... and jerks. I could fetch you again. Just give me a call", DongWoo said as he waved his farewell.

"Okay, I will. Goodbye!", Mav waved back as she went towards the university's gymnasium.

As she entered the building, it was better than she expected: colorful lights, scrumptious food, loud and upbeat music, it was the first welcoming party that she attended. She decided to mingle with her colleagues, drowning herself in the fun gathering. Every once in a while, she would go eat some snacks over the buffet table. The party entered a full swing and Mav and colleagues danced until Mav could feel her legs weaken.

It was only 9 in the evening when Mav decided to get some fresh air. She stepped out of the bulding and went to the field where she first calmed herself. The night sky was beautiful; the stars are shining and the moon shone brightly at her face while the wind caressed her skin. She relaxed for a few minutes, trying to recall the events of the week. When she finally stood up, she saw a figure walking towards her in a blue jacket and skinny jeans. Unable to recognize the figure's face, she slowly walked towards it, only to be surprised to find out who it was.

"Well, hello", the figure greeted her with a sweet smile.

Mav was shocked but managed a reply for the former. She couldn't hide the blush on her face, and suddenly, butterflies were in her stomach.

"Hi", Mav greeted back with a happy smile plastered on her face.
