What’s with the noise?

DongWoo’s loud outburst caught MyungSoo’s attention. Hurriedly, he went to the living room to find out what was going on. To his surprise, he saw HoYa with SungGyu, whose smile suddenly faded after seeing MyungSoo.

Does… hyung… know?, MyungSoo thought as he continued to stare at SungGyu

“Myung – L, wanna join us?”, DongWoo asked him with an energetic tone.

“Where?”, MyungSoo’s gaze suddenly shifted to DongWoo.

“To the amusement park. Come on, it will be fun”, HoYa answered for DongWoo.

Seeing how SungGyu’s face hardened at the invitation, MyungSoo took the hint and shrugged.

“Maybe some other time. I’m too tired to go anywhere”, MyungSoo answered, earning a dismayed look from DongWoo and HoYa. At the corner of his eye, he noticed SungGyu’s face relax.

“Guess there’s no point in persuading you but it’s good that you’re resting. We have lots to do tomorrow anyway”, HoYa pointed out.

“Have fun, hyungs!”, MyungSoo waved at them, forcing a smile on his face before proceeding to his room.

Grabbing their wallets and phones, SungGyu, DongWoo, and HoYa left the apartment. With them gone, MyungSoo suddenly came out and to the living room. Seeing that he has the apartment all to himself, he decided to go to the balcony to get some fresh air. He took a seat at the couch – like chair and stared at the sky, focusing on the shifting shaped of the clouds.

The atmosphere was so calming and peaceful that he decided to lie down and take a deep breath. He lifted his hand and traced the black and silver bracelet hanging from his wrist. So many memories flooded in his mind that his eyes started to become watery.

What is this, noona?

Couple bracelets… to let the world know that you belong to me.

But noona, it’s too risky for me to wear this…

Nobody would know that it has a pair… Come on… Wear it for me, please.

Okay, okay… Noona?

Hmm?

Flashbacks from the past continued to haunt him. He thought what they had was real, that for a while, he was loved. Blinded by the thought of love, he pursued the woman he thought was the answer to his prayers, only to be betrayed in the end. He couldn’t help but let his tears fall as the thought of her came across his mind.

The silence enveloping the area was disrupted by a curious WooHyun looking for company. MyungSoo quickly wiped his eyes so as not to be caught by WooHyun. He sat up straight and motioned WooHyun from the living room.

“Hyung, I’m here”, MyungSoo signaled him, waving his left arm.

“Oh, MyungSoo, where are the others?”, WooHyun asked.

“They went out. SungGyu – hyung, DongWoo - hyung, and HoYa – hyung went to the amusement park. Same with SungJong – ie and Mav”, MyungSoo answered.

“Oh, I guess it’s just us, then”, WooHyun sighed, taking a seat beside MyungSoo.

“You miss her?”, WooHyun blurted, causing MyungSoo to be surprised.

“What are you talking about, hyung?”, MyungSoo stuttered, unable to look into WooHyun’s eyes.

It was only ten in the morning and the two of them continued to stay and relax at balcony. Noticing MyungSoo to be in deep thought despite his presence, WooHyun guessed that he was still thinking of her. It was almost a year after his scandal broke out. It triggered all the press and everyone suddenly had their eyes on MyungSoo and her. His every move, every word that he spoke was recorded by all, either by the fans, the media, or the anti-fans. Their agency tried to deny the reports, only to be confirmed by her. Suddenly, everyone thought that MyungSoo was a liar, a coward for not being able to protect his girl. The backlash was just too much for MyungSoo, and eventually he broke down.

“You know what I’m talking about”, WooHyun replied, his eyes gazing at the view in front of them.

“It’s not something that you forget easily. Sometimes, it takes a long time to heal the wounds in someone’s heart”, he added, playing with his fingers while waiting for MyungSoo to speak.

“Hyung, she could’ve waited. I was going to tell everyone but with the world tour coming up that time, it was all overwhelming”, MyungSoo uttered, trying to fight back the tears from falling.

“Sometimes, you meet people at the wrong time and when that happens, maybe everything that ever happened between the two of you was meant to become a memory… either to cherish or to bury… either way, it was meant to change you into something better or worse”, Woohyun consoled him.

“So, which one are you gonna choose?”

WooHyun’s last question caused MyungSoo to look at him. He was about to ask another question when WooHyun’s phone rang.

“Hello? Oh, hyung, why? Oh!!! Okay, I’ll get ready”, WooHyun spoke.

“Is something up?”, MyungSoo asked curiously.

“I forgot that we had to film another scene for the drama… maybe that’s why SungYeol left so early... didn’t even tell me”, WooHyun mumbled, shoving his phone in his pocket.

“You better change, hyung”, MyungSoo commented.

“Okay. You’re not going anywhere?”, WooHyun asked.

“I’ll stay here and rest for a while. Don’t worry, I’m fine now”, MyungSoo replied when he sensed that WooHyun was still worried about him.

“Okay. I’ll be back by nine”, WooHyun informed him as he made his way to his room.

Despite WooHyun’s departure, MyungSoo stayed at the balcony for another hour before realizing that the sun was beginning to reach its peak. After that, he went straight to his room to sleep, skipping lunch in the process.

“See? This will be fun!”, DongWoo commented as the three of them entered the amusement park.

SungGyu was at first, hesitant, at DongWoo’s invitation because he thought that they might be recognized by their fans so easily, causing them to be mobbed if ever. Luck seems to be with them when they greeted the amusement park with only a few people.

“Which ride should we go to first?”, HoYa asked as he claimed their tags from the counter.

“I think we should go to the fun house first before going to any of those”, SungGyu commented, pointing to the rollercoaster at their left side.

“Ah, right. Hyung is afraid of amusement park rides”, DongWoo realized.

“Am not! It’s just that… we should save them for later”, SungGyu retorted.

“All right, let’s go to the fun house then. We don’t have all day”, HoYa commented, grabbing both their arms as they made their way to their first stop,

“Waah! This is nice”, Mav commented as she and SungJong were taking a stroll at the amusement park.

“Do you like to go to amusement parks?”, SungJong asked curiously before taking another bite of his ice cream.

“Back in my place, amusement parks were located at a different city, which takes almost two hours to get to. That’s why every time we go there, I make the most out of it”, Mav told him, swinging her arms, feeling the summer air.

“Ohh. Well maybe we should come back here next week”, SungJong suggested after finishing his ice cream, causing Mav to be stunned.

“But you will be having your comeback next week”, Mav contested.

“I doubt you rarely visit amusement parks back home. We should make the most out of it”, SungJong replied with a smile.

“Let’s just make the most out of it now”, Mav reasoned out, replying SungJong’s smile with a grin.

SungJong was shocked by the way she looked that time; happy and refreshing. He couldn’t help but feel speechless, as if time has stopped and the world revolved between the two of them.

“Come on, let’s ride that one!”, Mav said, pointing at the rollercoaster in front of them while grabbing SungJong’s hand.

Both were shocked by the action. Mav was blushing while SungJong was still frozen at his spot. Mav tried to pull away, only to be grabbed again by SungJong.

“Well, what are we waiting for?”, SungJong said as he pulled her towards the ride.

“Oppa, someone might see us…”, Mav replied, trying to pull away from SungJong’s grip. This only made him hold her hand tighter.

“There’s not a lot of people”, SungJong commented, pointing to their surroundings.

With SungJong assuring her that everything will be alright, Mav succumbed to SungJong’s comforting words and let him lead her to the ride.

“Is that Mav and SungJong?”, DongWoo pointed at two figures settled in the front seat of the rollercoaster ride.

After visiting the fun house, the group decided to ride on the rollercoaster to raise their adrenaline before they visit the haunted house. It took a lot of compromises for HoYa and DongWoo to convince SungGyu to join them and in the end, he finally gave in to both.

Despite HoYa's blurry eyesight, he was sure that what DongWoo saw was right, recalling an event that morning: SungJong has asked Mav out to go with him at the amusement park. 

"You know what, hyung, let's go to the haunted house first", HoYa offered, making sure to distract DongWoo.

"But we just--", DongWoo complained but was cut off by HoYa.

"Come on, hyung, before SungGyu - hyung gets here", HoYa quickly pulled DongWoo's arm, dragging him away from the ride.

Not long after, the two saw SungGyu approaching them, coming back from the bathroom.

"Ya! Where are you two going?". SungGyu asked them.

"Hyung! Let's go to the haunted house first", HoYa said, hoping that SungGyu wouldn't notice Mav and SungJong.

"But we just got here. Come on, let's ride it", SungGyu said as he strided off towards the ride.

"Hyung! DongWoo - hyung ran off!", HoYa notified him, causing SungGyu to be alarmed. Both were shocked as they see DongWoo running towards a small shop selling random plushies.

"Aish, that kid", SungGyu ran off to DongWoo's direction, trying to stop him.

That was close, HoYa thought, following SungGyu.

What he didn't know was that SungGyu already saw SungJong and Mav, trying to be silent about it.

"Thank you, SungJong - ssi", Mav said to SungJong while making their way to the apartment.

"I should be thanking you. I forgot how fun it was to go to places like that... and stop calling me 'SungJong - ssi'", SungJong replied, weakly punching Mav's shoulder.

"That was something worth remembering", Mav uttered, clasping both her hands.

As soon as they reached the apartment, they were greeted by an empty living room.

"We're home! WooHyun - ssi, where are you?", mav called out, hoping that WooHyun will answer.

SungJong went straight to the bathroom as they entered the apartment while Mav headed at the kitchen, pouring herself a glass of water to drink. She was about to place the glass at the sink when she felt a hand on her arm, causing her to be shocked.

"It's just me", MyungSoo said calmly, hoping that Mav would recover from the shock.

"Oh. Hello, L - ssi", Mav greeted him, not meeting his eyes.

"Look, about what happened last time, I'm--", MyungSoo was about to apologize when Mav cut him off.

"Let's just put this behind us", Mav said, forcing a smile on her face. With that being said, she quickly left the kitchen and went to her room.

But... but... I really am, MyungSoo thought as he was left alone, dumbfounded by Mav's reaction.

Maybe later, he thought as he went to his room glumly.
