Jin's POV

I rub my eyes as I snooze my alarm clock for the last time. The cold December frost covered my window letting strained sunlight through. I fixed my bed real quick and got dressed into my school uniform, the usual tan khakis, white button down and blue tie. Even though I had been wear a tie for years, it still took me a few minutes to put it on.

I grab my bag and make sure all my homework is in it, and jog down the stairs for breakfast.

"Good morning Jin!" greets my mother, who is making porridge for breakfast.

"Good morning mama, sleep well?", I reply.

"Yes, sweetheart, now you sit down and I'll give you something to eat."

I place my backpack on the counter and pull out a chair. My father is sitting on the other end of the table in the middle of the daily morning newspaper.

"Good morning father," I say to him.

"Good morning son," he replies, sipping on his coffee.

My brother rushes down the stairs.

"Tae! Slow down honey, have some breakfast!"

"Can't mom, I'll grab something at school, I have to go! I have a student council meeting to attend, we have to settle the final details for the winter dance, and they can't have the treasurer be late!"
