[CONTENTID1]Jihoon woke up to the alarm ringing from his phone. He groaned and reached to shut it off. He was lazy to get up but he had to start his day earlier as he had a part time job to be done.

Jihoon was a student from a prestige university in his country, taking music as his major and doing part time job to support his life. His daily life was just a plain student life plus he wasn’t a type to socialize with other. The friends he had were only two; named Kwon Soonyoung and Moon Junhui which both are rowdy and wild contradicting his own nature that loves silence and calm. He didn’t know how that he befriended of the two but like people said opposite attracted. He could rely on the two when he needed help; they’re his best friend since high school. Jihoon didn’t have friends before he met the two in his first year of high school. He came from orphanage and people kept giving him sympathy look that he totally disliked. That made him withdrawn from the others; people also didn’t bother to approach him as they thought Jihoon was cold and scary. Only Soonyoung and Junhui saw him differently. And the two stuck with him since the first day Soonyoung greeted him and later introduced him to Junhui. The three became a good friend.

Other than Jihoon disliked the look he got from people who pitied him as an orphan, there’s another reason he was being looked differently in his childhood. Jihoon was a special kid. Since he lost his parents since seven years old, he could see something that people couldn’t see. String of fate. Jihoon had seen so many strings, various in colors with different meaning. He even could see his, after he met Soonyoung and Junhui he saw his green strings that appeared a week before he entered high school was tied to them.  Green meant best friends. He never told his best friends about this because he believed they won’t trust him and perhaps he will be laughed like how the kids in his childhood had laughed at him when he innocently told them about his ability in age of eight. So it remained a secret to himself.

Recently, he saw a baby pink string appeared on Soonyoung’s pinky but he couldn’t see the other end. Baby pink meant budding love, Jihoon guessed Soonyoung had crush on someone. While Junhui who was tied with red string that meant dearest person since the first time Jihoon met him, it turned black on the first day they entered university. Then Junhui told them that he had someone he liked who also his best friend back in his hometown, and recently that friend died in an accident. That’s when Jihoon knew, the black string meant death of your loved one. There was more color he had seen but he loved to see a red string that laced with gold he saw at the wedding the most. That colour meant soulmate in which will be glowing on wedding day of the soulmates and it was the prettiest string Jihoon ever seen.

That’s why Jihoon loved his part time job even though the time wasn’t fixed. Singing at wedding. He didn’t mind as long as he could see the pretty string. Even though not all weddings he went has that string – some partners might have just rosy pink which means love but not eternal, he still loved to sing at the wedding to watch people’s string. At times, he envied them who met their soulmate earlier. Jihoon was still waiting for his to come, patiently. He knew who was it but he felt frustrated when he couldn’t see his gold-laced red string yet. From what he knew, it meant his soulmate either wasn’t born yet or didn’t know his existence in which they had never cross path yet. Jihoon just wished he won’t get a black string because he was dying to meet his soulmate who he knew the name and face from the dreams of past lives he constantly got since he was nine.
