"Logan! Come on, we're gonna be late!" Dillion shouted from the car outside. I rolled my eyes and grumbled out of bed wrapping my fleece throw, my only source of heat, around my frail body. I opened the door and shouted down the hall;

"Dad! Tell Dillion and Stevie i'm not going out today!" I shuffled back to my bed and lazily flopped into the tiny cove that lead my wall covered bed.

Falling victim to a comatose-like sleep I faintly heard my dad dismissing both my sisters and himself. Solitude closing in like the deep red walls around me, I felt comfortable enough to completely submerse my self in a different reality...

The school was very different from the ones in Japan. The lockers tall and scattered throughout the hallways, the doors opening on hinges as opposed to rolling. Natural light barely ever-present, I silently stared as we maneuvered our way through the school.

"Mr. Kamenashi? Are you ok?" The woman guiding us broke my trance.

"Yeah, just fine." I said nervously, annoyed that my accent was so apparent.

"Alright" She just started walking again. My coach leaned over to me and whispered something in my native tongue.

"Come on Kame-chan. Wouldn't want to miss her pulling her underwear in that tight pencil skirt, now would we?" I snickered. Coach always knew how to bring me up.

After we finished our tour, she handed me some papers and dismissed us both. Walking out to the coach's car he asked me;

"Did you call your mother yet? She's probably worried..." He started the car and pulled out of the parking lot.

"No, I'm gonna wait until we get back." I answered reading the papers, spending most time on my schedule.

"Alright, just don't forget, eh?" He said pinching my cheek and smiling. Coach was like my dad, and it made me comfortable. I definately hated to be completely alone in the states. Although there was still that lingering feeling...
