Part 4- Fan Service

I was inside the concert venue and was looking for the fountain that I found last night. I finally saw it. I approached the fountain and turned my back from the fountain. I took a quarter from my wallet and wished silently, “I wish that I never met you Jaejoong hyung.” Then I threw the quarter into the fountain.

After a couple of minutes after I made my wish, I just stood there with my back turned against the fountain with my eyes closed.

“This is stupid. How can you easily forget someone who has been a part of your life for a long time? How can I be stupid enough to fall for this type of nonsense? Wishing bracelet, 11:11, wishing fountain, and eyelashes being capable to make someone’s wish come true? How can I believe this stuff? How can I wish about not meeting Jaejoong,” I said to myself.

Even though it doesn’t make sense that I believe in this type of nonsense or the fact that I want to forget someone really important to me, I’m still going. I don’t know why but I’m going. I already made the three wishing superstition that I need; the wishing bracelet, the eyelash and now the fountain. The only thing I need is 11:11 pm since I already did 11:11 am this morning.

“Yah...Changmin,” I heard Junsu’s voice yell. “Don’t just stand there. Come over here and practice. It’s already 5:36. The concert will start soon,” Junsu continued to yell.

I could see Yoochun’s silhouette and saw him say something to Junsu that I couldn’t hear. It made Junsu shut up though.

I approached them to where they were standing which I assumed was the practice room. There I saw Jaejoong and Yunho. By the looks of it, it looked like they were taking a break and having a drink of water. I saw Jaejoong smile widely at Yunho and looked like he is having a good time.

I felt someone’s hand squeezing my shoulders. I looked up and saw Yoochun’s concerned face looking at me.

I look back at him and muttered with a weak voice, “I’m fine.”

Yoochun looked at me disbelievingly but dropped the subject again.

“Okay guys... let’s practice!” Yunho exclaimed enthusiastically.

“Let’s go,” Junsu said happily.

Everyone got into position as we began practicing for our concert this evening. We practiced a lot and just like yesterday I made many mistakes once again.

It’s either what the psychic said, or that Jaejoong hyung totally forgot about me. He always talks about Yunho...Yunho...Yunho. I have to remember to make my last chance at 11:11 tonight and make my wish. I already did three. The eyelash, the wishing bracelet, and the fountain are done. Now all that’s left is the 11:11 pm. I wonder what will happen. I have to remember and ask Yoochun what the psychic means later after the concert.

It was almost time for the concert. About 20 minutes before the concert, we were ushered to go to the dressing room to fix ourselves. After the stylists fixed our hairs and made us look like Korea’s Idols, we were about to perform in a stadium filled with the amazing Cassies that have stayed with us through all these years.

The curtains finally lifted and I saw for the first time how the stadium was setup. Even though this was our- I mean my first international concert, the feeling was the same. It was the same feeling as the fans that cheered for us in Korea, Japan, China and other places that we performed at. I guess Cassies were all the same... very welcoming.

We were greeted by the infamous red ocean that became the DBSK signature. The fans were waving red glow sticks that greeted us with huge smiles on our faces.

“Let’s go guys...hwaiting,” Yunho said to us once he saw the red ocean in front of us. Cassies are really amazing.

We sang our debut song Hug but in English, which is now our international debut song. Jaejoong hyung started to sing: (A/N: Listen to the song Hug English version in the background)

Jaejoong backed up as Yoochun stepped forward to sing his part:

Jaejoong stepped forward when Yoochun back up as he sang his part:

There are so many smiles and tears

I noticed that when Jaejoong hyung stepped away from the front, he went closer to where Yunho was during Junsu’s part when Junsu sang:

After Junsu said I love you, we had a short dance break which Cassies loved, making them scream louder.

The shouts were then replaced by chants when Cassies saw Jaejoong hyung so close to Yunho, they began chanting their “couple name” Yunjae. All I could hear was the chants that Cassies made. “YUNJAE! YUNJAE!” was echoing in my ears. I tried to focus on singing by trying to forget about the fans and Jaejoong while singing my part:

Yunho’s part was next and he did something that I wish I could do. He approached Jaejoong and put his arm around his neck while singing his next part to Jaejoong while looking into his eyes:

To feel but in dream
 

The fans became hysterical and started to scream Yunjae even more.

When Yunho backed up, Yoochun stepped forward and sang his line:

Whenever you look in my eyes

Junsu then stepped forward; right beside Yoochun with Yoochun’s arm flung on top of Junsu’s shoulders and sang:

There are so many smiles and tears

Yoochun continued to sing with his arms on top of Junsu:

 I was born to love feel so deep inside

Junsu continued to sing his part after Yoochun:

 If you need me I'll be your man
(I'll be your man)

I stepped forward and approached Jaejoong who was still near Yunho while looking at his eyes and sang my next line:

Whenever you look in my eyes
I do want to show you my love

I looked in his eyes hoping that he does see my love. Jaejoong then put his arms around me while Yunho put his arms around Jaejoong while Yoochun and Junsu did the same on my other side. We sang the next part:

 I make up my mind make your
Dreams come true

I sang my next line looking straight at Jaejoong again:

Nobody can stop me to say

Junsu sang:

 I love you~

We sang the next part together:

In my arms, in my soul
I want to hold you baby
You don't know how much I love you
Do you baby

Jaejoong was looking at Cassies while singing his next line:

 Like a sun rising up,
I can't stop loving you.
Can't hold back anymore~

I looked at Cassies this time while I sang:

Whenever you look in my eyes
There are so many smiles and tears

Junsu sang his line:

 I was born to love feel so deep inside
If you need me,
I'll be your man (I'll be your man)

Jaejoong was now looking at Yunho again while he sang the next line which broke my heart:

Whenever you look in my eyes (in my eyes)
I do want to show you my love

I could feel my heart breaking. Even though it was part of the song, I was looking into his eyes when I was singing it like what he’s doing with Yunho. Both of us wish that the other person realizes how we feel and how much we love the latter.  I just confessed to him but he did the same thing to Yunho which drove Cassies hysterical. Most are Yunjae shippers anyways.

We sang the last part together with tears threatening to fall from my eyes:

 I make up my mind make your dreams come true

Jaejoong sang the last line looking straight into my eyes while he caressed my face. That last move Jaejoong did made the tears that were threatening to fall from my face flow endlessly:

Nobody can stop me to say, I love you.

As the music began to fade, the crowd’s cheers became louder and my tears were just flowing endlessly. I could feel someone’s presence beside me engulfing me in a comfortable embrace, as if comforting me. Sure enough... my best friend Yoochun was supporting my shoulders and tried to hold me up.

The fans’ cheer started to quiet down as Yoochun gave an excuse as to why I’m crying. “Changmin heard from us that you wished him well,” Yoochun said in English causing Cassies to say aww.

I know that Yoochun knew the reasons for my tears. It’s because of him...of their fan service during the song. I stopped crying and talked on the microphone talking in English saying, “I love you guys...Thank you.”

The fans went wild and began chanting my name. They yelled Changmin really loud until Junsu said, “We sing Mirotic after.” He still had thick Korean accent along with his broken English just like mine. Yoochun’s English was the best out of us five.

The crowd went wild again and yelled “DBSK always keep the faith”.
