Manananggal:  Legends describe manananggals as pretty females during the day and by night they shift into hideous beings that is capable of separating its torso from the rest of its body. They have huge bat-like wings that could fly in the night sky to search for its victims. When the mananaggals are flying, you could hear a tik-tik sound and the fainter the sound, the closer the manananggal is. They trick their victims by the sound their wings make when they fly. They trick their prey into thinking that they are far when in fact, they are really close. They are similar to the western mythology of a vampire but manananggals mostly prey on pregnant women to the hearts of the fetuses or the blood of someone sleeping.
