Sunggyu looked to the younger man, not being sure of how to react. He didn't know if he should say something warm and kind or if he should actually trust what he was hearing. Nam Woohyun already lied to him once, he could be lying to him again. He stood there staring, wanting the younger to do or say something. He didn't want to look like a cold heart man even thought in reality he was. “....Is that true?” It was the only thing he could think he could say without making the younger man look even more crushed, if that was even possible. “It is.” Nam Woohyun was giving small, short answers and his eyes never left Sunggyu who didn't know how to answer. Instead he continued looking to him and didn't said a thing. “I have a brain tumor.” He paused and all Sunggyu could do was listen. He wasn't used to situations like these. He wasn't sure how to deal with this. “And can't you fix it?” Sunggyu asked. He knew people could survive if they had surgery, so maybe Nam Woohyun could do the same right? “I don't have enough money.”

The older couldn't help but raise a brow. He didn't had enough money? But to go to the college he went, he had to have at least a good bank account, or else he wouldn't be able to pay for a single thing. Nam Woohyun noticed the confusion in the man's eyes and forced a smile. “I study and work. I use all the money to pay college because unlike many students there, I don't have rich parents who can afford to pay me through college and more.” Sunggyu opened his mouth to speak but then stopped. He opened again started thinking if he should say a thing or if he should allow the younger to keep talking. “I was going to leave college as soon I finished it, but then...I found out you would be the teacher for the master-degree's class. I wanted to keep seeing you, so I decided to keep going with my studies. Being in that class room was the only chance I had to be with you.” Sunggyu didn't know if he should feel happy after hearing such a thing or if he should feel worried. This man, his student would rather stay in class, listen to every word he said, class after class.

“Weren't you in pain? Aren't you in pain?” Sunggyu asked, more confuse than before, and he wasn't sure if that was possible. Nam Woohyun smiled at him and moved a little closer so he could look at the older one straight in the eyes. “I don't feel pain...the tumor just makes me a little dizzy and I feel like I want to throw up all the time...but I don't mind. As long I can see you, all of that becomes secondary....And I love college. I love studying, so I won't allow the tumor to win. I won't give up my studies for anything!” Sunggyu couldn't believe he was hearing a thing like that. He couldn't say a thing like that, he really couldn't. It was his life. This was real life, this wasn't some book where it was romantic someone put his life on the line because of love. Sunggyu always thought that it would be sweet, romantic, dreaming but in real life it wasn't like that. It wasn't like a dream, it was horrible and he couldn't help but think Nam Woohyun was insane. He shouldn't be doing those things. “You shouldn't be putting your life in the line! It's dangerous! You should just have your surgery. College can wait, life can't!”

Nam Woohyun smiled at that. It made the older man really confused. Why was the other smiling like that? He shouldn't be smiling, he shouldn't be smiling at all. “I think...it's the first time you showed me so much...emotion. Usually you're so cold.” Sunggyu pressed his lips together and didn't said a thing. What could he say? He didn't know what to say and he was positive that if he said something he would regret forever. “I always thought you would be like a safety box, that you wouldn't let a word out, that the only thing you could show was a blank stare.” Sunggyu was feeling nervous. He didn't like when people started reading him. He wasn't that hard to, people just had to pay attention to him. If they bothered to give 5minutes to Sunggyu and really study his behavior, they would realize he was more transparent than water itself.

He looked to Nam Woohyun and saw how his expression reflected what he was feeling. He wasn't happy, he was crushed, he was looking like he had been abandoned from the person he loved the most. Sunggyu didn't know what he was feeling, but he was pretty sure he was feeling guilt, and that was something he didn't handle with very well. “You shouldn't put your life in the line!” Sunggyu sounded mad for some reason. Nam Woohyun looked up to him and raised a brow, a little confused. Usually Sunggyu would never raise his voice to speak and now he was almost shouting. “You shouldn't be-” Before he could continue he felt something warm against his lips. He froze. Was this really happening? Was this man really...kissing him? He felt Nam Woohyun grab him by the arms and pulled him closer. Nam Woohyun's lips were warm, soft and gentle, the kiss however wasn't. It was desperate and screaming for a little bit of attention.

Not even thinking twice, Sunggyu pulled the younger man away and touched his lips. In ten years no one kissed him like that. No one. “What are you doing?” He asked and Nam Woohyun just looked down to his feet. “I don't regret it you know.” He said and gave a couple of steps backwards. Either of the men spoke. They just stood there looking at each other, not knowing what to say or think. One was confused, sure his head was about to explode if he kept thinking so much and the other was sure he should just leave before something bad happened to one of them, especially him. But at the same time he wanted to stay there, he wanted to stay there so he could know what was going to happen between the two. If there was going to happen something. He wished it would. He would wish for it day after that. All he wanted was for his teacher to notice him, and when he finally did, it seemed it wouldn't last for as long as he wished.

“You shouldn't do things like that. You shouldn't kiss people like that.” Sunggyu said and the other man looked at him. “You can't kiss random people” Nam Woohyun looked at him, not believing what he was hearing. Sunggyu wasn't a random person. He never was. He knew him, he loved him, how could he call himself random? “You aren't random. You're the person I lo-” Sunggyu stopped him. He didn't want to hear those words. Instead he looked down to the floor and took a deep breath, trying to forget what just happened. He knew it would he hard, he knew it would be hard to forget the fact that the man that was just in front of him had kissed him that way. It wasn't the best kiss of his life, because it wasn't, but it felt like something else. It felt different from every kiss he ever received and gave. This time, however, he didn't kissed back.

He just froze and started feeling like someone was punching him on the stomach. He started wondering if that was the feeling of anxiety his books talked so many times. “All I wanted was a chance with you. That's all.” Sunggyu was about to say they couldn't, because first, they were teacher and student and even thought they were in college and two adults, they couldn't be together because if someone found out they could say Nam Woohyun was taking good grades because he was sleeping with a teacher, and second, Sunggyu didn't had feelings for the younger man. He could be mean and cold, but he wasn't going to be with someone if he didn't had feelings for that person. That was just cruel. “But you already love someone else.” with a pause they exchanged looks. “And I can't compete with someone like Hoya.”

Nam Woohyun grabbed his jacket and was ready to leave but then he felt something grab his arm. He turned and he saw what it looked like a very angry Sunggyu. “I won't treat you differently because you're sick. I'll be the same Sunggyu. Mean, cold and a clean freak.” The younger raised a brow not understanding what was happening, but instead of talking, he decided to keep quiet and listen to every single thing. “Just because you're sick and that you've feelings for me doesn't mean I'm going to be nice, doesn't mean I'm going to say I love you so you can feel happier about everything else.” Nam Woohyun started biting his lower lip. Was the older man saying what he thought he was saying or was he imagining every single thing. “Don't compare yourself to Hoya because you are two different people.” Nam Woohyun just nodded. He knew that very well, but it was stronger than him. And how could he not compare himself to the person the object of his affection loved? He wanted to be Hoya. He wished he could be Hoya for one day so he would know how it felt to be loved by Sunggyu. “I have no idea why I didn't allowed you to leave my house right now, and I've no freaking idea why I'm talking to you and saying this things.” A small pause and both looked at each other in the eyes. “But, I'll consider to get closer to you, if you do something for me.” Nam Woohyun nodded eagerly, a bright smile, wanting to know what Sunggyu wanted from him. He would do anything. Anything! All the man had to do was ask. “Give up college.”
