“You what?” Woohyun asked holding Sunggyu even closer and he looked right into the older man's eyes. He couldn't believe what he just heard. Did Sunggyu had cancer? Did that meant he was dying? Did that meant Sunggyu was going to leave him? No, it couldn't. It couldn't be true. He looked so healthy, and the doctor didn't said a word about Sunggyu being sick in the first place. He just said that the older man had a problem with his heart and nothing else. “When I was in Europe I found out I had cancer an-” Woohyun didn't even allowed him to finish talking. “But you look fine! The doctor didn't told me about you being sick! No one in college knew you're sick! Please tell you're lying!” Sunggyu pressed his fingers on Woohyun's lips and the younger man looked at him, his eyes shining. He wanted to know that it was all a lie, a prank that Sunggyu was pulling as a punishment for the lies he said. It would be less painful. Less painful than know that Sunggyu wouldn't be there next to him. “If you allowed me to finish talking you'll know.” Woohyun started biting his lower lip. He didn't know if he wanted to keep hearing.

He just wanted Sunggyu to keep quiet and say nothing. He started hiding his face on Sunggyu's neck and he felt the older man shiver a little. “I said I found out I HAD.” He said but he noticed Woohyun wasn't looking at him. It was like he didn't want to know anything anymore, but the older felt he had to speak before he exploded. “It was a painful process before I was completely healed, and while I was in the hospital, I met someone. I met a man called Myungsoo. He was younger than me but a very good person.” Woohyun looked up to Sunggyu and raised a brow. This wasn't going to be a story about how the the older man felt in love for the first time was it? Because he wasn't really in the mood to know who that man was. It was bad enough he knew how Sunggyu felt about Hoya, he didn't need to know how he had felt about someone that was perfect that he met back when he was studying. He didn't want to know how Sunggyu felt in love and lost that love when he had to comeback to Korea. “We were in the hospital together and we spent our time together, all the time. He was my opposite. He hated reading but loved romance.” Woohyun couldn't help but give a small glare.

“He was weak. He was really weak and.....” Sunggyu couldn't keep going. He just pulled Woohyun closer to him and took a couple of deep breaths. He had to keep talking, even thought it was too painful to remember such things. “...one day, at night, he confessed to me that his greatest regret was not confess to the person he loved the most...” Another pause and this time Woohyun couldn't help but grab Sunggyu's shirt, not even thinking about his previous jealousy. He was sure the older man was going through something he would never understand or even live. “He cried a lot, but all I could do was stare. All I could do was stare and let him cry...and then he asked me for something that I never thought it was possible...he asked me to....to end with his pain.” Woohyun couldn't believe he was hearing such a thing. He looked to Sunggyu and he could see in the older man's eyes he couldn't keep going, he couldn't keep talking such a thing. He looked to the older and he just held him a little closer, if that was even possible. Both were holding each other so close, so tightly that they weren't sure if there was a small space between them. “....And I just did it...I stole a drug from a nurse and in moments he died...” Sunggyu could hardly speak. He was so nervous, so heart broken that he couldn't even say his own name straight if he had to. “He died with a peaceful look, he died happy.....” he made one last pause and Woohyun couldn't help but wish this conversation was over now. He didn't want to keep hearing, he didn't want to keep listening to such things. “The doctors thought he died because of his disease...but I know the truth...and every night, I see his face, smiling at me.”

Woohyun, without thinking kissed Sunggyu's cheek and the older man looked at him with tears on his eyes. “Don't feel like that, please....you just did what you thought it was right.” Sunggyu looked at the younger man not believing what he was hearing. “But...I killed someone, I killed...” Woohyun stopped him from speaking and looked right into his eyes and gave the younger man a small smile full of love, something that Sunggyu was clearly not used to. “Was there any salvation for him?” Woohyun asked and Sunggyu shook his head, trying his best to stop his tears. “He was going to die no matter what...”Woohyun smiled and kissed him one last time, this time a little closer to the lips. “So...You saved him from a horrible death...you saved him from pain. You did the right thing....” Sunggyu just looked to the younger man and Woohyun pressed their foreheads together. He could feel the older calm down and take deep, long breaths. There was no need to guess that this was probably one of the hardest things that Sunggyu has ever told someone. “...I never spoke about this.” He said and the younger looked at him. “Not even Dongwoo?”

Sunggyu just shook his head and Woohyun tried his best not to smile and show his proud smile. The older just shared something with him that he never shared with anyone else, not even to his best friend. “If you tell someone this, I'll kill you.” Sunggyu whispered and Woohyun just nodded. He was happy that Sunggyu was starting to feel a little better. He didn't know the older could look so weak, so needy, but in a way he was glad he looked like that. It showed him that he was indeed human and not a cold machine. “Don't worry, I won't.” Woohyun said with a small smile and for the first time he could see Sunggyu smile as brightly as him. He didn't know that the older could smile like that, but when he saw that smile, he felt his legs turn into jelly. If he wasn't lying down he was pretty sure he would fall on the floor. “I can't believe I just cried in front of you...and I can't believe I just told you this...why did I do it?” He asked and Woohyun continued smiling brightly to him, loving the way Sunggyu was being towards him at that moment. He knew the older man wasn't going to be like that always, he was going to be like that just for a couple of hours, if he was lucky, but even so, he would take every single second.

“Because I'm irresistible.” Woohyun said and Sunggyu just rolled his eyes. He just closed his eyes and tried to sleep for a while. He had to sleep, he had to rest. Many things happened in just one hour and he had to forget about it. He was pretty sure he made a huge mistake by saying that to Woohyun, but now it was too late to go back with his words. He had said it and now he just couldn't say it was all a joke when it wasn't. “But...are you better? I mean...your cancer...” Woohyun started and he looked up to Sunggyu. The older could see the younger man was really worried about him. “Yeah...the doctor said it won't comeback, I'm safe now.” Woohyun relaxed. He allowed his head to fall on Sunggyu's shoulder and continued smiling like an idiot. Sunggyu closed his eyes again and Woohyun did the same thing. He knew Sunggyu didn't want to talk anymore.

But Woohyun wanted to know more, he had to know more. He looked up to the older man and started biting his lower lip. What should he say? What should he do? He didn't want the older angry with him, and he didn't want to have another fight with him. “Just sleep.” Sunggyu whispered, sensing the man stare at him. Woohyun just looked down to his hands and didn't said a word. He wasn't sure of what he should say, so he just stood there thinking about the possible conversations the two of them could have. He continued enjoying the older man holding him tightly and he was almost sure the older was smiling a little. Woohyun was in paradise at that moment. Then sudden realization came to him. In a matter of days he was going to be on a hospital bed, he wasn't going to have Sunggyu next to him to hold him, to talk to him. He was going to be completely alone and he wasn't going to have the warmth of the older man. And he needed it so bad.

Sunggyu on the other hand was regretting what he did. He couldn't believe he just shared his deepest secret with someone he didn't knew, someone who he had no idea who was. Sure, Woohyun had told him a few things, but there was something...something that didn't fit, something that didn't seem right, and he had to find what was. He looked down to the younger man and saw him sleeping. He knew he should trust Woohyun, he knew he should. The younger man was taking care of him after all, but there was something Sunggyu couldn't trust. There was something on him that he was sure it wasn't right, something big. He was sure Woohyun was hiding something that he HAD to know. He had to find out more about this man, and he was pretty sure how he should do it. He was going to find out who this man was and everything would be explained. He was prepared for everything, even if that meant make Woohyun tell him things he wouldn't like to know. One thing he couldn't stand was people play with him, and Nam Woohyun wouldn't be the first.
