“Shouldn't you be in the hospital?” Dongwoo asked as he entered his friend's house. He couldn't help but look around. The apartment was a mess. Papers every where. On the floor, on the tables and even on the couch. It didn't look like Sunggyu's apartment at all. His friend was a clean freak but this apartment looked like a very messy freshman was living on it. “Why should I?” Sunggyu asked as he continued looking around the hundreds of papers.

He was currently on the floor reading every line of those papers, making sure he wouldn't miss a single thing. He looked to Dongwoo for a couple of seconds and then went back to the papers. “Er, I don't know. Maybe because Woohyun is getting surgery today?” Sunggyu just pressed his lips together but didn't answered. Instead he continued looking down to the pieces of papers. “I promised I would be there when he wakes up, not when he went to surgery.” Dongwoo rolled his eyes. He set on an empty chair and continued staring to the older man. “You're so romantic.” Sunggyu didn't looked back at him. “Romance is overrated.” He couldn't believe he got that answer. Specially from someone like the older man, it wasn't normal, that was for sure. “says the person who half of the books speak about impossible love.”

Sunggyu didn't answer. Instead he looked up and gave a couple of papers to Dongwoo. “Just shut up and help me!” Dongwoo grabbed them but continued looking to the older man with a very confused expression. He knew his friend was obsessed with work, but this state was a whole new level and freaked him a little. “Help you with what? You know I'm not good with literature. Last time I tried to help you, you almost killed me for giving a student of yours a good grade.” Sunggyu glared to his best friend and Dongwoo just waited for an answer. It wasn't like he could read thoughts and knew what the older was thinking, and honestly, he was glad.

Because if he did, he was pretty sure he would rather shot himself in the head. Sunggyu was a very complex man and he didn't know what was inside that dark mind. “It has nothing to do with my students. It's more important than that.” More important than work? Did Dongwoo actually heard his best friend say something like that or was he dreaming? He continued staring at the older man who knew his friend needed an answer at that moment.

“Nam Woohyun is lying to me.” He said and Dongwoo raised a brow. “I'm pretty sure he's been lying to me this whole time.” Now the younger was starting to get even more confused, if that was even possible. He knew Sunggyu was a little paranoid, but he wasn't expecting something like this. Was he seriously seeing Woohyun's past? How did he got all those files? Was that even legal? “The school gave me half of these files, half of them are files I found online and the others from his old schools.” There as no surprise there. Sunggyu would never give up when it came to find out the truth or find everything about everyone.

Luckily, Dongwoo was a open book and Sunggyu never needed to do something like that. “I can't believe you're searching for his past! What's wrong with you?” Asked Dongwoo almost throwing the papers to the floor. He looked to Sunggyu and the older man wasn't getting what he meant by that. “This is a new low even for you!” The older didn't answer. He just looked down to his hands ashamed of what he heard. “I need to know if he's lying. Can't you understand that?”

Sunggyu was trying to make his friend see his point of view, but he was failing miserably. “Who cares about his past? Everyone has luggage.” Dongwoo paused and closed his hands in fists trying to calm himself down. “You out of all people should know that! We have a huge luggage and even like that Hoya is still with me. Even after everything.” Sunggyu looked up to his best friend and couldn't believe what he just heard. “You told him?” He asked and Dongwoo nodded right away. “Of course I did! I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't!” The younger was on the verge to explode. “How am I suppose to look at Hoya now?” Sunggyu asked feeling beyond ashamed and not sure of what was going to happen.

“The way you always looked. It's been 5years, he doesn't care! And...” Dongwoo paused for a moment and Sunggyu looked to him not sure of what he was going to listen and if he was going to like what he was going to hear. “And we both know how you feel about him...everyone knows....” Sunggyu looked down to his hands and he just wished for a whole to hide. He didn't want to believe this was happening to him. He couldn't believe Dongwoo knew how he felt about Hoya. His worst nightmares were coming true and he couldn't do anything to stop it. He was drowning on his own misery and there was no way he could stop it.

Dongwoo knelt in front of his best friend and placed a hand on his shoulder. He didn't want to, but Sunggyu forced himself to look up. “Woohyun is a good guy...even if he's lying about anything...yo should talk and forgive.” The older man started pressing his lips together and he didn't want to keep listening to this, but all he did was stare at his best friend and listen to his words. Usually the one with the amazing speeches was him and not Dongwoo. No matter how much he adored his friend he knew Dongwoo wasn't good at all with his words. “Because this guy...” he said while pointing to Sunggyu from head to toe. “...he isn't the Kim Sunggyu I know and adore. This guy is some obsessed guy who has no idea what kind of love he's wasting.” The older couldn't help but raise a brow when he heard that. “Woohyun's feelings are clear as water. Hoya can't stop saying you two are a match made in heaven.”

Sunggyu looked down to his hands ashamed and didn't said a thing. Instead he grabbed his papers and got up from the floor. Dongwoo followed him with his eyes and continued staring. He saw his friend grab a jacket and his shoes. “Where are you going?” Dongwoo asked a little worried. The older opened the front door and without much, he just said “Out.”. The younger was really confused and he had no idea what the other was going to do. He knew he should probably follow Sunggyu, but instead, he decided to let him go and left the house as well. He was pretty sure he knew what his friend was about to do and he couldn't be happier. Sunggyu was a very weird man, but he liked his weirdness. If he didn't, he wouldn't be his friends to begin with. People just had to be patient with him. That was all.

“Nam Woohyun, we're ready.” The doctor said with a small smile but didn't made Woohyun any better. He grabbed the bed sheets tighter and closer to his own body. He was so scared. He couldn't help but think about the horrible things that could happen to him in that surgery room. What if something went wrong and he lost his memory? What if he lost that precious memory of him and Sunggyu talking, holding each other on the older man's bed? What if he died? He couldn't die. He just couldn't die. Not now that he and Sunggyu were on the right track, at least that was what he hoped. He and the older man were getting to know each other better and better, he just couldn't allow himself to die. “I...Can it wait just five more minutes?”

Woohyun almost begged. He was hoping Sunggyu would come through that door and give him strength for the surgery. He was waiting and he wasn't going to lose hope, he wasn't. Sunggyu was going to show up wasn't he? “Woohyun....Maybe Sunggyu-Hyung is busy with college...” Hoya was there giving him support and he couldn't be ungrateful, but he wanted Sunggyu. He didn't want dear, caring Hoya. He wanted Sunggyu. “He promised he would be here....” Woohyun said and Hoya started biting his lips. How was he suppose to answer that. “We're going now...” The doctor said. He didn't want to force Woohyun, but they had to get the surgery done. “...where is he?” Hoya grabbed Woohyun's weak hand and looked down to his feet. He wanted to say the right words, but just couldn't.

But he didn't had to because his answer appeared right away. The room door opened and there he was. Sunggyu was there. With his face full of sweat, his cheeks flushed, his clothes a mess...the total opposite of what Sunggyu always showed. The nurses and the doctor gave him a little space and Woohyun couldn't hide the shocked look on his face. “...five minutes.” The doctor said and told everyone to leave the room, including Hoya. “Good luck!” Hoya said smiling to Woohyun. The raven haired man thanked him but his eyes wouldn't leave Sunggyu. The door was closed and an awkward silence took over the room.

Woohyun was happy, he was beyond happy, but he didn't know how to express it. He was a little shocked, to say the least. “....I don't even know why I'm here!” Sunggyu whispered as he passed a hand through his messy hair. Woohyun started playing with his fingers, wanting to keep listening to the older man. “Hyung...do you....” He stopped his speech when the older looked right into his eyes. “It's not love!” He said right away. “But it's not hate either! I...I don't know what is it. It's confusing and I hate it. This isn't like any of my books. I should know why the hell I'm here and why in the world I came running to this ing hospital!”

Woohyun just stood quiet and continued listening. This was not what he had in mind when he thought about a conversation with Sunggyu before surgery, but he would take anything he could just so he could go to the operation's table with a smile on his face or at least with a small memory of having Sunggyu right there with him. “I just....god!” He looked to Woohyun. “I don't trust you! You know that don't you? I don't trust you because I know nothing about your past, I know nothing about who you are and....” Sunggyu paused for a while. “and you seem to know everything about me. I even tell you things I shouldn't. It makes me feel vulnerable and I hate that. I hate to feel weak!” Woohyun was trying his best not to talk, but when he noticed the older man stopped talking, he took that chance to speak. He looked to the older man and saw his angry face. He took a long, deep breath and grabbed his sheets closer. “...You shouldn't trust me at all.”
