Hyomin watched as Sunny lost herself in the arcade, thoroughly enjoying herself with all the different types of games. She knew how much Sunny loved games and it was a good thing to be able to distract herself. There was a high chance of her not getting anything good out of this relationship but Hyomin wanted to cherish Sunny as much as possible right now. It would be a foolish decision to pick her over someone like Taeyeon in the first place; Hyomin would pick the kid leader over anyone else if she was in Sunny's shoes and had to choose.

“You enjoying herself over there?”

“Why aren’t you playing with me?” Sunny asked, turning around to face Hyomin with a pout. She was really enjoying herself but she wanted Hyomin to enjoy with her. “It’s a two-player game so don’t worry about disrupting. Come on!”

Sunny finally revealed a smile when Hyomin stood beside her and picked up the Blaser R93, mimicking a perfect sniper’s pose. She couldn’t help but take a step back and watched as Hyomin shot down a couple of the zombies right in front of them – Hyomin did have a couple of good shots in herself too. She rested her back against another game machine and crossed her arms over her chest, watching Hyomin sincerely enjoy herself. It was no wonder why no one ever let Hyomin near the game machines; she was probably as much of a game maniac as her. 

“Yah, you asked me to play then you’re not playing?!” Hyomin yelled over the blaring music of the game; she was struggling to hold all the zombies off alone. “YAH LEE SUNKYU!”

Sunny snapped out of her trance and joined the brunette, screaming at the sight of the bloody zombies surrounding them all around their compound. She couldn’t remember the last time she was this relaxed and cheerful… it was all thanks to Park Sunyoung. The same Park Sunyoung as the one in Invincible Youth; the blur, adorable fangirl who seemed to be the most blur creature on the earth. No one would believe her if she told everyone that it was the same person; Hyomin was really different on-screen and off-screen. It was a priviledge to be treasured by someone like her though. 

As the couple enjoyed a game of shooting and driving afterward, they couldn’t care less about the camera flashes going off almost countless  times in one minute. All they actually cared about right now was the time they were spending together and when they would be able to do it again. It was a pity, and it seemed to be an oncoming catastrophe, but there was a likelihood that they wouldn’t be able to do it again – not with Hyomin and Sunny at least; maybe Sunny and Taeyeon were a more possible choice.

Hyomin stole a glance at the shorter woman beside her and couldn’t hold back a tender smile; Sunny was so beautiful…

Why couldn’t Taeyeon see that?

“Oh God, today was fun…”

Hyomin chuckled and shoved her hands into her pockets, watching as Sunny stretched her palms out on either side of her to take in the fresh breeze. She did have a load of fun today but it wasn't for or about her; it was her intention to distract Sunny from all the pain she received from her one-sided love. Anyone can call her stupid for loving someone who wouldn't love her back but Hyomin knew exactly it felt like. She wanted to feel loved, the same way Sunny wanted to feel loved too - and she was willing to give it, as long as Sunny found her happiness at the end of it. 

Sunny frowned when she saw the dazed expression on her date’s face, “Hyomin-ah, is everything okay?”  

“Y-Yes, I’m just fine.”

Hyomin might be a musical actress and all but she couldn’t lie past Sunny’s sharp eyes and instincts. Sunny saw through her act right away and a sigh left her lips; she walked over to where Hyomin was quietly watching her. She could see the slight shock in the taller’s eyes and Sunny felt a pang of guilt hit her at once; that look shouldn’t be there in the first place. Technically, they were dating and skinship should be natural but for this particular couple, it seemed more of a taboo more than a natural activity to do.

Hyomin gasped when she felt Sunny’s hands cup her cheeks and her eyes widened in shock; she didn’t know what to do.

“I know it’s difficult for you because I… I still have some feelings for Taeyeon,” Sunny admitted softly, albeit embarrassed at what she was saying right now, “but I would like to give us a shot because you’re in the same boat as me, and if we can find comfort in each other….”

Honestly, Hyomin was more than just touched by what Sunny was saying because while it was all facts, it was also something that could happen without them knowing. She knew Sunny must have felt guilty and hence, the reason behind all the apologies but if there was one thing she understood about Sunny; it was to accept whatever she was saying first and talk about it another time. Hyomin just nodded silently, taking in the fact that Sunny was actually trying to make their relationship work out. 

It was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. 

“Thank you…”

“I want you to be happy, Sunny,” Hyomin said as she brushed her thumb against Sunny’s cheekbone, “if you’re sure about your decision then I won’t say anything; I just want you to be happy and not regret it.”

Sunny’s eyes welled with immense tears; how could anyone be as kind and understanding as Hyomin and yet not have a single person chasing after her heart? She was probably the luckiest person in the world for having Hyomin by her side all the time but fate chose another person who wouldn't see her at all. Hyomin could be the one holding her at night and making sure she didn't get her heart broken; she could also be ensuring that Sunny slept well at night and didn't have any nightmares whatsoever. 

“Thank you, thank you so much.”

Hyomin sighed contentedly as Sunny threw her smaller frame into her arms and started to sob into her chest; she ran her fingers through Sunny’s locks and planted a small kiss on her head. Sunny fit right in her arms and their bodies melded so well together... it was a pity that this scene wouldn't last. She rubbed Sunny's back soothingly and whispered comforting words; that was all the shorter woman needed at the moment. 

Might as well cherish the moment.

“I can’t believe you.”

“What did I do now?”

“You were totally flirting with that waitress.”

Yuri’s jaw dropped in shock at what Yoona had just said; she stopped following Yoona into the living room for that moment and tried to recall when she flirted. If she was indeed flirting, it would definitely explain why Yoona insisted on paying for the entire lunch altogether – just so that Yuri wouldn’t have to interact with the flirty waitress again. She couldn't help but chuckle at how cute Yoona was when she was jealous; the doe-eyed woman wasn't always a jealous person but it changed whenever the incident involved Yuri.

The girls who were in the living room muffled their laugher with their hands; it was almost like a drama series with how the couple was acting. The jealousy games they played often resulted in the tanned woman apologising and whimpering like a kicked puppy; not that the other members ever predicted it’d end any other way. Although it was absolutely true that Yoona had carried a torch for Yuri for a much longer period of time, Yuri still ended up being the whipped one between the two of them.

“Gosh, Yul,” Hyoyeon shook her head and intertwined her fingers with Sooyoung’s, “What did you d
