Sungyeol slowly opened his tired and sleepy eyes, and looked at his surrounding with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion but soon that was replaced with understanding as he exhaled a heavy sigh. He turned to bury his face in the fluffy pillow under his head but that faint stench of a Vampire made him wrinkle his nose in an unattractive manner but there was also that sweet smell of Myungsoo that made him burrow his face even more and inhale deeply.

Looking at the window, Sungyeol realized that nightfall had arrived… but what the hell was he still doing here? A whole day had went by and here he was sleeping on a soft and fluffy bed while his mother must have been crying rivers since he was missing but he wasn’t even trying to run away- even though he knew he could try all he want but Myungsoo would never let him go, but the rational part of his mind told him to man up and at least try to escape.

Sungyeol let out another long suffering sigh… quite surprisingly he was feeling more tired after a nap rather than how he was before it. Of course it didn’t come as a surprise because Sungyeol’s mind was so full of what had been disclosed a few hours ago that taking a peaceful rest after that was out of question… naturally he felt more exhausted, mentally.

He slowly got up enough to be in a sitting position as his eyes swept through the entire room, coming to rest at the small cupboard in a corner making a shudder of fear to rattle his body. Sungyeol couldn’t help and whimper as flashes of Myungsoo’s story came back to haunt him.

“So… so you said,” Sungyeol gulped as he looked around the room, not having the strength to look in the devil’s eyes anymore. “So you said your first love was the first S-Sungyeol, meaning the first me, and that I am your third love… so who was your second love? My great grandfather?”

“No,” Myungsoo replied decidedly as he slowly got up and went to a small cupboard in the corner of the big room. He got something from it and carefully placed it on the bed. “My second love was your Uncle, Lee Sungyeol.”

Sungyeol frowned slightly before he turned to look at the jar and narrowed his eyes to look at the thing that was floating inside it and with a jolt Sungyeol cried out loud and stumbled back so badly that he fell off the bed but he didn’t cared about the pain as he crawled backward on his bottom and took refuge at the corner of the room with his bulged out eyes still fixed on the thing in the jar with tears after tears streaming down his red cheeks and his plump lips trembling badly as he plastered himself to the adjoining walls… he remember, he remembered some older kids talking about how Sungyeol’s uncle was found dead in his own bedroom with his heart missing… sobs over sobs rocked his trembling body and he felt nausea and fear taking over his own heart because Sungyeol wasn’t proud to say but… he found that heart.

“Y-y-you… y-you… k-killed… h-h-him…” Sungyeol stuttered badly, while messily wiping his streaming tears off his cheeks as he panted wildly trying to move back even if he was already at the end point but he wanted to put as much distance between himself and the psychotic Vampire as he could. “Y-you… YOU SAID YOU L-LOVED HIM!” Sungyeol all but shouted accusingly while choking a little. “YOU KILLED HIM EVEN WHEN Y-YOU L-LOVED HIM?”

“Hear me out first-” Myungsoo said and he spoke in such a calm tone that it broke Sungyeol’s nerve and he felt like ripping his hair out but all he could do was tightly close his eyes and breathe deeply to calm himself down. “Yes I loved him and he loved me too… he was even unmated at that time-”

“Then why not him? Why didn’t you just kidnapped him and carried out your ‘different plans’ that you planned for me? You said yourself that he loved you…” Sungyeol asked with disgust evident on his face but he kept his eyes shut because he didn’t wanted to look at that thing in the jar anymore but once he got nothing but silence in reply he slowly opened his eyes to see Myungsoo safely returning the jar in its rightful place.

“I was there the day he was named… just like I was there when you were named…” Myungsoo started in sotto voce and miraculously Sungyeol found himself getting calm with his soothing voice. He slanted the back of his head on the wall behind him and fixed his gaze on Myungsoo’s fatigued filled figure, with a few sniffs and sobs rocking his body. “And like always that was the last time I saw him… it is true that I could have easily enter the castle- our own castle that werewolves had taken possession of- because I knew that place like the back of my hand. But I didn’t. Because, I had given up…”

“Given up?” Sungyeol muttered once Myungsoo completely fell silent.
