“What do you mean you ‘won’t’?” Myungsoo demanded with a growl with his hands balled tightly into fist, not wanting to attack that pathetic and ugly smiling face of his ‘grandmother’… or else he won’t hear the end of it from his dad.

Myungsoo already knew the ugly witch won’t give into his demands that easily but he had been expecting some petty and lame excuses stuttered out from that foul mouth of her but the confidence and straightness of her spine when she had flat out denied his demand was somewhat unsettling.

“You know what that means, Myungsoo. You can’t be that stupid!” The Witch sneered before delicately picking up her tea cup and taking a small sip from it, with her eyes fixed on the lost looking pup sitting beside the Jinxed Vampire, and that had warning signals ringing in Myungsoo’s full on alert mind.

“I do know… but why?!” Myungsoo demanded angrily, as his hands itched to crush the delicate neck of his sworn enemy. “You are the one who ruined my life, now take responsibility!!”

“I did no such thing!” The witch gasped dramatically, putting a small hand on her heart before giving a loud scoff. “It was your two fathers that begged me to save you… trust me, I personally would never have given two rat livers for your useless life.”

“Mother!!” Woohyun exclaimed, half in anger half in disappointed. “He is my son!”

“Oh, Woohyunnie, I had hoped turning you into an immortal would have changed you but you are still as kind hearted and stupid as your human self,” The Witch said in disappointment.

“Yes, a total opposite of his mother.” Sunggyu chimed in before snaking an arm around his mate and gave a triumph look to his mother-in-law but only gained an eye roll from her.'

Myungsoo was fighting an internal battle, he never wanted to come off as a selfish mate but just this once he had hoped to throw everything in fire and go for what truly belongs to him, and moreover to his utter surprise his mate had put his trust in him, he never intended to disappoint him… he wanted to be happy and make Sungyeol happy as well.

“And even you can understand this, little boy…” Once more the witch’s attention came to stand on him. “I have created one monster already, I won’t repeat my mistake.”

Then it clicked on Myungsoo, this was the real reason!! She was scared to create someone stronger than her that would surely stand with Myungsoo… with two such powerful Vampires side by side, she did had a reason to fear.

“Monster?!” Myungsoo scoffed in mock amusement. “Just say you are scared of creating another being stronger than you.”

“I am 5000 years old, little witch!” The ugly witch sneered in superiority.

“But I am stronger than you and you know that!” Myungsoo deadpanned and watched in satisfaction when a bitter expression crossed her features but that was quickly replaced with a smirk.

“But not strong enough to mate, are you? How long would it take before you end up ripping this pup's head off like so many before him? ” The evil witch crackled madly as she challenged Myungsoo, with her eyes mocking him by using his one great weakness.

Myungsoo felt Sungyeol- who was sitting just beside him- gasp and his body shudder at the witch’s words, the Vampire could actually feel how his mate’s heartbeat quickened. Myungsoo knew how much his mate had been affected by the bloody past Myungsoo had left behind in the history… Myungsoo knew Sungyeol still believed that if things didn’t work out between them then he might find himself face to face with the same fate as past-hims and Myungsoo had no idea how to make him see that no matter what, he would not meet that fate, and now that foul witch was putting oil on the already blazing fire.

These conclusions triggered the worst in Myungsoo; this was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. His rationality snapped and next thing Myungsoo knew was the loud growl he was emitting from deep within were not being controlled by him and he had bared his fangs in a nanosecond, and even if he heard his father’s loud warning he didn’t paid any heed to it, with a flash he had torn his way through and had pinned that sneering face on the wall behind her… he felt a jolt of satisfaction at the shock features that has frozen on her face.

“MYUNGSOO!!”

The wild Vampire heard the calls and he could also registered the restraining hand his father had on his forearm but the beast in him just wanted to crush the small neck he had in his grasp while he jammed the small frame of the witch on the wooden wall of the hut, making the hut to rattle dangerously… his beast roared in triumph and rejoiced seeing the veins in her neck swelling and her eyes popping out as she desperately tried to inhale some well needed air.

“Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t kill you right this instant?” Myungsoo gritted out each and every syllable with clear seethe, his grip getting tighter and tighter.

“B-be-c-cause… I-I d-d-die… y-you d-d-die…” The witch spit out with quite difficulty but her struggle only brought a surge of satisfaction to Myungsoo.

“I know, killing you means killing all the Vampires linked with you,” Myungsoo spatter at her slightly blue face. “And I welcome that death… because death would be better than living this pathetic life… there is no other way to kill me- I would know since I have tried a million times- and you also know that, the very reason why I am still alive or else you would have get rid of me long ago.”

Myungsoo had wished for death to take him under his wings long ago… the moment his Sungyeol died… he had tried again and again but never found a way to end his own life. Even in crucial situation when he willing wants to embrace death at his enemy’s hands his rationality would snap and his inner beast would be out to save him.

The witch shook her head with difficulty as she coughed loudly and suddenly Sunggyu was in the line of his vision with his hands wrapped around the arm busy suffocating the witch.

“Let her breathe, Myungsoo. And let’s hear her out… maybe there is more to it than she is letting us on,” His father’s soothing voice penetrated the haze around his mind, making Myungsoo to close his eyes and take a deep breath… his grip slackened only slightly but he knew his eyes would still be flashing red, symbolizing his inner beast, but his father’s words made sense to him.

“Talk!” Myungsoo ordered once a little color has started to return in her blue face.

“Even if I change your mate… there is no future for you.” The witch wheezed out quickly, scared to be back to the suffocating treatment, the fear in her eyes was highly satisfying.

“Why?” Myungsoo asked back sharply.

“Turning a werewolf into a Vampire is wrong… the only reason why werewolves exist is to bring balance in the World because of the creation of Vampires… turning a werewolf into its own enemy comes with severe consequences, as you know about yourself.” The witch gave a meaningful look to the Vampire but Myungsoo dismissed it. “I could easily guess what would happen to you-”

“You knew exactly what was gonna happened to me?? And you still carried out with your plan?” Myungsoo couldn’t help the growl and tightened his grip once more… all this time he had told himself that the Witch couldn’t possibly had known what exactly would happen to him, she had took a risk for his parents wish… but learning otherwise sure had pissed him off.

The witch choked suddenly and tears gathered at the corner of her eyes but she was strong enough to choke out, “I-I had m-my d-d-doubts… I-I g-guessed…”

“Myungsoo,” Another warning came from his right, Myungsoo didn’t have time to turn and glare at his father but he did slacken his grip a little.
