.Chapter 21.
The Jinxed Vampire
“So, exactly how long do I and Woohyun have to play wall between you two wolves’?” Sunggyu’s annoyed and drawled filled voice questioned, making Woohyun to smack his arm softly with a meaningful look tossed in his way.
“Just until next full moon,” Myungsoo supplied while picking small treads on Sunggyu’s pants as the younger boy had rested his head on his father’s lap and Sungyeol, who was in similar condition but his head being perched up on Woohyun’s lap, could only heave a long sigh.
“But that’s like one week away,” Sunggyu complained loudly, earning a harsher punch from his mate now.
“I am 100% sure that if you and dad don’t make out for one whole week, you won’t die.” Myungsoo said while rolling his eyes at his childlike father-figure.
“But today is my birthday…” Sunggyu mumbled with a deep pout playing around his lips as he turned to give a wounded look to his mate. Woohyun leaned in to land a quick peck on the pout before giving a warm smile.
“Don’t worry; I would make it up to you later.” Woohyun promised in a whisper but the sensitive ears of Sungyeol and Myungsoo pick upon the words easily. Myungsoo pretended to gag while Sungyeol only let out a breath of laughter, which was cut short at Sunggyu’s next comment.
“I will ask you two when you have officially mated… I bet you won’t be able to keep your hands off of each other.” Sunggyu exclaimed but once he realized his comment had not gained him any witty retort from Myungsoo and how both the young wolves’ had gone exceptionally rigid, he turned to share a raised brow look with his mate, Woohyun, who could only shrug in return.
Sungyeol let out another sigh and tried to get his broken heart to stop hurting. Now that Myungsoo had finally succeeded in transforming into his wolf form and imprinted on Sungyeol, so obviously, both their wolves’ has started to get restless in each other presence… meaning they were urging them to mate already.
And Myungsoo being so angry at Sungyeol for deceiving him into transforming for the ritual- the ritual Myungsoo wanted no part in anymore- had decided to disappear for a whole day, in ordered to get his anger down. It was only after a couple of hours that Sungyeol’s inside has started to burn and a particular pain has started climbing in his body that he realized that his wolf wanted his better half beside him, and Myungsoo’s absentence was making it sick.
Myungsoo had felt similar kind of ache but he was willing to disregard it altogether until Minseok had come looking for him… telling him that Sungyeol was in too much pain. Panicking for his mate’s safety Myungsoo had came running back, no matter how much he wanted Sungyeol to suffer after that unbelievable card he had pulled on him, but he couldn’t bear the thought of Sungyeol howling in pain.
Both Sungyeol and Myungsoo knew it was useless to convince their wolves that they can’t mate yet, so the elder of the two had opted to get his parents to play chaperone on both the wolves’ until the next full moon… but Myungsoo had gone on a silent treatment for Sungyeol. He was there in the room with him but wasn’t initiating any conversation; something that didn’t go missed by Sungyeol and became a reason for his internal pain. Myungsoo was holding a grudge against him and Sungyeol didn’t like that.
“Myungsoo, when are you gonna let Dongwoo Hyung and Kyuhyun go back to their homes?” Sungyeol asked softly, hoping to make Myungsoo’s silence to come to an end… but even after a minute he was awaiting to be given an answer.
“Soon…” Came a whisper and another heavy silence engulfed the party of four. The Kings of Kim Clan shared another baffled look but didn’t know what to make of the situation. They could sense something had gone wrong between Myungsoo and his mate… something related to the so-called ritual Sungyeol had blabbered about nearly a month ago… but both of them were wise enough to not question that sensitive topic. Then suddenly Myungsoo mumbled. “Why do all of my mates deceive me…?”
The soft whispered was heard loud and clear, making Sungyeol to close his eyes tightly, hoping to wake up from this horrid dream before his chapped lips parted to shakily say, “Myungsoo…”
“When was the last time you took a bath, Kim Myungsoo… you reek so much!” Suddenly Sunggyu exclaimed, pinching his nose in disgust. “Your wolf stench is so much to take.”
Myungsoo kept mum, seeming disinterested in Sunggyu’s comment and that was not what the King had been looking for… he was hoping to get a hit or eye roll from Myungsoo, but seeing his son so lifeless had started to make him worry.
“Umm… okay… so where do you plan to go after you have mated?” Woohyun prod.
“Yeah, like a honeymoon… which place you plan to leave for?” Sunggyu pressed, hoping that this topic would interest both the wolves’.
“I am taking Sungyeol to the other side of the world,” Myungsoo mused, his tone even and light. “But not for honeymoon… I plan to take him forever.”
“What?” Woohyun’s sharp intake of breath portray his surprise… which was nothing compared to how much Sungyeol had been surprise to know about Myungsoo’s plans last night...

“After imprinting I am that most dear thing to Myungsoo, now.”
“You did it on purpose…” Dongwoo palmed his face roughly as he took a step back. “You waited for him to imprint on you before you would tell this to anyone… why would you do that, Sungyeol??”
“Because there were a lot of people dear to him… his father, his dad, Minseok… I couldn’t be sure if I was the person closest to his heart but now, there is no doubt left. He has transformed already and imprinted too-”
“Are you crazy? Have you lost your mind?” Dongwoo demanded his voice nothing but a whisper of mere air. “Do you think Myungsoo would scarify you?”
“He will have to so he could break the curse-”
“NO!” A loud growl echoed in the semi dark dungeons.
Sungyeol breath hitched and chills ran down his spine because the loud denial had not come from the person in fron
