It was unusual for the night club to be this quiet, but considering it was Tuesday night, it was understandable. It was more unusual for the handsome man to visit the dimly lighted place at that time of the week. Usually he would prefer to come when the disco ball and spotlight were out partying. Only this time he felt nice to enjoy some quiet time with his best friend, talking about life and dreams. After all, they have just beaten up some hardship and he felt grateful because they have each other’s back through all that hell.

                Besides him, some other tables also had small groups of people quietly drinking and conversing among themselves, paying no attention to him who was sitting alone at the corner of the room. “Why is he so late?” the lonely man complained to nobody in particular. They had promised to meet one hour earlier but the expected guest still did not arrived nor contacted him. He began to felt annoyed and contemplated to leave.

                As he just thought to get up, someone came through the entrance and he automatically turned his head but was disappointed once again. However, something about the newcomer caught his attention as the man walked briskly with noticeable foot sound that went ‘dakdakdak’, straight to the bar counter. The sitting man did not aware he was staring at the newcomer as the man chatted briefly to the bartender, his finger pointed to some places in the room, and then the bartender pulled out a guitar from under the counter and handed it over to the newcomer.

                The man took the guitar and walked up on the platform that was prepared for performances. He sat down on a chair and began strumming the guitar lightly, as to show off his existence. ‘Oh? Is he going to sing? I never know they do things like this here. Interesting,’ the lone man thought. He looked forward of what the man on the stage was going to perform and he knew all the visitors that night anticipated the same at the sudden show.

                To his musician soul surprise, the man on stage sang really beautifully and amazingly to the uncommonly old ballad song and his guitar skill was even not bad. A weird and unconvensional voice that he never heard before and he was falling to it. Curious, he picked up his wine bottle and glass and went to the bar counter to get a gossip. “Who is he? Is he a worker here?” The bartender answered, “No. He is just a regular customer and likes to sing for free. Isn’t he wonderful?” “Wow, he do know how to sing. What’s his name?” “Kim Dong Wan.”

                The singer finished his song a bit clumsy and laughed shyly at his mistake, but the room applauded him warmly nonetheless. The singer stood up and returned to the bar counter, and took a seat. The bartender greeted him cheerfully, “Waahh.. nice performance for today too.” “Haha thank you. I messed some the ending though.” he chuckled. “Geez.. noone even know that was a mistake. Drink this, it’s on me.” “Really? Thank you boss!”

                “It’s ok. Let me treat him tonight,” suddenly the man who sat there earlier approached the two men and offered. Dongwan looked surprised at the man for his sudden generosity and then looked questioningly at the bartender. The bartender just smiled and shrugged. The man put a bottle of wine and two glasses in front of him and with his eye-smile, he introduced himself, “Hi I’m Lee Minwoo. Nice to meet you.”
