Saturday morning. I open my eyes slowly after Yuri popped her head into my room and shouts annoyingly, “Wake up, Fany-ah! It’s Saturday!! I’m gonna go now, BYE!”

Then she just left the apartment to do her classes.

So here I am now, still lying on my bed while stretching lazily. What am I going to do today?

I exhale loudly before I pick up my cellphone to see what time it is. It’s still early.

Taeyeon must be on a train now. I could imagine how excited she is to meet her girlfriend.

Argh! I bury my face on my pillow to let out a frustrated scream. Can I just not thinking about her for a day?! Maybe I should just-

Ding dong~

What the. Who could that be?

I groan and force myself to get up. The intercom keeps making noises while I drag my slippers on the floor. I’m not going to be nice if it’s turn out to be a salesman.

I pick up my intercom, “Yes?”

“Fany-ah, it’s me.”

Gasp! That voice! I squint at the little screen on the intercom.

It’s Kim Taeyeon!

“T-Taeyeon? What are you doing here?”

“Um, it’s a long story. Can I come up?”

“Y-yeah, sure.”

I buzz her in and dash to the toilet to at least wash my face and brush my teeth.

I did not expect this at all! Omg what is she doing here? Isn’t she supposed to be on her way to her hometown?     

I spit and rinse as fast as I could when I heard the doorbell’s rings.

“In a minute!”

Damn where’s the hairbrush when I need it?! I’m frantically trying to tidy my hair while running to the door.

Calm down, Tiffany. Breathe!

I open the door to find Kim Taeyeon looking back at me from top to toe.

“You just woke up?”

“Umm… kind of.” I answer sheepishly. Should’ve changed my pajamas!

“Did I wake you? I’m so sorry.” She looks flustered and refrain from entering my apartment.

“It’s okay, I’m already up now, Tae. Come on in!” I grab her wrist and pull her inside. That’s when I realize she has a bottle of champagne on her other hand and an overnight bag sling on her torso.

She put her bag on the floor and sits down on the couch in the living room.

“What are you doing here? Aren’t you going back to your hometown?”

She instantly looks dejected, “I was already on the train station when she called and told me there’s this sudden work stuff she needs to go to. I’m too disappointed to hear what else she said. And then somehow……….” She looks up at me and she looks utterly confused, “I’m in front of your apartment building.”

Oh damn. I can’t seem to find words to say. We just look at each other before she finally broke our eye contact by closing her eyes and leans back on the couch.

“I’m really sorry, Fany-ah. I don’t even know why I’m here. I guess I just need some company.”

Right, a company, a friend.

“Hey, it’s okay.” I sit down next to her. “Sorry you can’t celebrate your anniversary with your girlfriend. Let’s just do something that can take your mind off her then.”

She opens her eyes and smiles gratefully at me, “Thanks.”

I smile back at her, “You brought champagne?”

She picks up the bottle, “It was fitting for an anniversary, right?”

I nod.

“Want to drink it?” she asks while looking very very solemn.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to drink alcohol early in the morning, but I never saw her like this before, so crestfallen. I don’t have the heart to say no.

“Sure, I’ll go get the glasses.”

2 hours later, we’re drinking champagne while watching a morning cartoon. I hate seeing Taeyeon so depressed. But I guess she’s forgetting her problem quite fast since she’s laughing at a silly joke on TV now. Or maybe she’s getting tipsy over the champagne? She did drink more than 2 glasses already. Even I’m getting a little bit dizzy now.

I scroll my Instagram timeline because I’m getting bored of the morning cartoon. I stop at one funny picture and chuckle to myself.

“Why are you laughing?”

“Oh, nothing. My friend posted a-” I look up from my cellphone and Taeyeon’s face is leaning dangerously close. I can smell her perfume and my throat got constricted.  

I hear her chuckling and she looks up to meet my blatant stare at her.

“That’s” she hasn’t move back, so our distant is still very close, “funny.”

And my gaze drop at her lips. So.damn.close. If I just move my head a little bit, I’m sure I can taste her lips.

I would gladly blame it on the alcohol when I tilt my head and shift my head. She still hasn’t move so I press my lips on hers and close my eyes.

This….. is not a dream, right?

Oh my goodness.

Just when I feel her lips moving, I got push back.

I instantly open my eyes. Did I just…………… kiss her?! I blink rapidly and to my horror, Taeyeon is looking at me wide eyes and a hand covering .

I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out. What the hell should I say?! Should I explain why I did that? But then again, why did I do that?!

Before I can think thoroughly, she stands up, “I better go.”

“Wait, Taeyeon. I-I….” I stand up also, panic surges through me. But she already grabs her bag and goes out of my apartment before I can say anything else.

MUAHAHAHAHAHA! So what do you guys think should happen after this?
