Since "Painted hearts" was quite short, I thought I could post another drabble today! :) Or maybe I just can't wait to post more... >w<

Dongwoo looked at his boyfriend, then at the sunset. He felt the sand below his feet, smelled the warm scent of the sea and took a deep breath. Hoya squeezed his hand a little, grabbing his attention.

“Are you okay?”

His brow was furrowed, worry evident on his face. But then Dongwoo shot him one of his dazzling smiles and he knew everything was alright.

“Sorry! I was just thinking that everything is perfect and I kind of got lost in my thoughts.”

Hoya chuckled and pecked his boyfriend on the lips. “You’re weird, you know that?”

The elder started to pout, in a vain attempt to look hurt, but it obviously wouldn’t work. So in return, Hoya tried to tickle him, which resulted in Dongwoo running away from him as fast as he could while giggling like the crazy person he was.

Until he fell down.

Hoya was worried for a second, but when he heard that the giggles never stopped, he started to laugh as well. He really loved the other, but his clumsiness was too much sometimes. Then he heard a gasp and a loud voice calling out for him.

“Hoya! I found something! Come here! Quick!”

The latter hurried to where his boyfriend was, lying on his stomach like a child, a glass bottle in his hands. Soon, his beautiful eyes looked up at him and Hoya swore he could see stars in it.

“Hoya, I found a treasure!”

The younger wanted to throw him one of his usual sarcastic comments, but he couldn’t say he wasn’t intrigued by the bottle as well. So he just whispered: “What do you think it is?”

“Maybe it’s a treasure map? Or the death wish of a sailor trapped in a storm? Or maybe-”

Now Hoya’s realism couldn’t let all this pass. “Don’t get your hopes up, maybe it’s just trash or something.”

Dongwoo frowned at his words, but quickly opened the bottle and carefully took out the piece of paper.

Hello stranger,

Oh God, this is ridiculous. My name is Lee Sungyeol and I’m 12. The teacher said we have to write some stupid letter to put in a bottle and throw in the sea. He said it’s to “leave a trace of our time on this planet”. Pfft. I think that teacher read too many romantic novels or things like that. Seriously, nobody’s ever gonna read this crap.

But Myung just told me something interesting! God, this guy is so much more clever than that stupid teacher! (Mr Kim, if you read this, you are the best teacher on earth! <3) What if this bottle ends up in the hands of some aliens, one day when the human race will be gone?! Then I’ll be the only trace they have of our civilization! Now, I just have one sheet of paper, so I have to summarize the most important things…

On this planet, there is this thing called “coffee” and it’s the best thing EVER! It’s made of… well, coffee beans. Which grow… somewhere, in Africa I think. Anyways, that’s the best and it keeps you awake when you have to study for the stupidly difficult exams Mr Kim always gives us.

And then, there is the ice cream we always eat with Myung. If you ask him, he will say that the best is strawberry, but he’s lying. The best is chocolate, because chocolate is soooo good! Maybe it’s because chocolate melts and ice cream melts as well so the two in one is like… BAM! Melting explosion! And when you add whipped cream on top, it’s like heaven! Oh and if you don’t know what heaven is, it’s a place in the clouds where everyone is nice and wears white. They’re not nice because they’re wearing white, they’re just nice. Well, now that I think about it, I’ve never been in a room with only people wearing white. Maybe that’s the key! I’m a genius!

Anyways, Mr Kim said we have to finish now and I didn’t have time to write everything… Mr Kim never knows what he wants. That’s probably because he’s old and he forgets what he said as soon as he says it. And he says he’s 27, but I’m sure he’s lying and he’s like 154 years old!

Goodbye alien! :)

PS: I hope you’re not really green. I don’t like green. I prefer orange.

By the end of the letter, Dongwoo was laughing like crazy, holding his stomach and Hoya was looking at the letter in disappointment. When the elder realized it, he grabbed his boyfriend’s hand and pulled him down to sit on the sand next to him, quickly hugging him tight.

“Aaawww someone is disappointed!”

Hoya threw him a death glare, but the other didn’t really mind.

“You know, you were the one to tell me not to get my hopes up!” Hoya pouted and Dongwoo cooed at his cuteness, immediately pinching his cheeks. “But you know what that means right?”

The other cocked an eyebrow. “Err… that the kid has a bad taste when it comes to ice cream?”

Dongwoo chuckled and shook his head, before looking at him in the eye, a spark of malice clearly visible.

“That we’ll get to make fun of Sunggyu!”

A smile made its way on Hoya’s face when realization struck him. Make fun of Sunggyu. That was a good compensation.
