Kiss me slowly

The Perfect Recipe

Inspired by "Kiss me slowly" by Parachute, you should listen to it while reading this. ^^ Also, this is my story.

Sunggyu’s shaky hand put the key in the lock with difficulty. He had drunk enough to have problems opening his apartment, enough to dare ask Woohyun to come up with him. And it was a strange mix of feelings – excitement, anticipation and a tiny bit of fear. He hadn’t known the other man for long. In fact, he would be getting ahead of himself if he said he really knew him.

They had met once before, at a party where he went with Dongwoo and Hoya, a party where they basically didn’t know anyone. And Sunggyu wasn’t pleased by that the tiniest bit. He had been hit on way too many times when Woohyun and his friend, Myungsoo, came up to them. And Sunggyu had thought they would be just like the other guys – drunk, insistent and full of themselves. Except they weren’t. They had started a conversation, like the normal human beings that were so rare in these kind of parties, and they all ended up in Hoya and Sunggyu’s apartment, away from the loud crowd, chatting the night away.

Sunggyu wasn’t really one to talk a lot with people he didn’t know, but Woohyun seemed to have his way with words – and with him. When Sunggyu kept silent for some time, the other made sure to turn to him and ask him a question, whatever it was, but in that gentle tone, as if to not scare him. Sunggyu couldn’t help the tingles in his stomach every single time and the small smile on his face. And then something happened. He didn’t know if it was the other’s words, his voice, or something in his behavior, but it happened. All the noises of the conversations died in his ears and he stared at Woohyun for a second that seemed like eternity. He looked at him and felt like he was the kind of person who could understand him. He had a strange feeling that he couldn’t describe, but could only sum it up with one sure thing: Woohyun was simply an amazing person, the kind of person whose hand he wanted to take and never let go.

They had talked a little online after that and, when Dongwoo’s birthday came up and they decided to invite a whole lot of friends and go to a nearby bar, Sunggyu invited Woohyun. He figured it wouldn’t be too awkward, since there would be a lot of people – more or less close to Dongwoo. But then, there they were. Woohyun had proposed walking Sunggyu to his apartment and the latter had asked him if he wanted to come up. He normally wouldn’t have invited someone he knew so little to his apartment, but there was something about Woohyun that was drawing him in and he couldn’t resist.

Once inside, he asked the man if he wanted something to drink and, after having poured two glasses of wine, they went to the tiny balcony, from where they could see the city lights. Sunggyu slid down against the glass door and sat on the pavement. He had to bend his legs against his chest to fit in, because the balcony was really small.

Woohyun teared his eyes from the view and looked down at him with a chuckle. “Are you okay?”

Sunggyu leaned his head against the cold glass and smiled up at him. “Yeah. Just drunk a little too much, but I’m okay.” He really couldn’t help the smile on his lips. After a few seconds, he realized he probably looked like an idiot, but he was just genuinely happy. There he was, with the beautiful view of the city from the 13th floor, a glass of wine in his hand, with a very handsome man. He just felt extremely peaceful.

But he didn’t care if he was smiling too much, because Woohyun was too. The latter sat down next to him, but his back against the guardrail. They were really close, but still too far to Sunggyu’s taste. So he let the alcohol lead him and put his glass down before opening his arms wide. “Hug?” Even if he knew he was acting like a kid – alcohol often had that effect on him – Woohyun’s carefree laugh made it all worth it. The other put his glass down as well and took him in for a hug.

The hug lasted and lasted. Sunggyu didn’t want to let go and, apparently, neither did Woohyun. So when they finally started to slowly let go, Sunggyu knew where it was going. He could act innocent all he wanted, but he wasn’t stupid. Their cheeks were close, so close as they pulled away. Woohyun’s skin was warm against his own and he wanted to keep it that way. So, as they pulled away just a little more, his eyes were on the plump lips so close to his and he could feel the other’s gaze on his. Sunggyu swore he never wanted to kiss someone so badly in his entire life. When their lips finally touched in a light, slow kiss, he felt like his heart was going to get out of his chest.

However, his heart stayed in its place and kept its amazingly quick pace, even when Woohyun’s hand found his cheek and caressed it as if he was the most precious thing in the whole word. When they separated, Sunggyu backed away a little, his head finding the glass door behind him once again and took a mental picture of the scene in front of him. The way Woohyun’s face glowed under the silver light of the moon, the way his calm breathing perfectly fitted in the light, distant noises of the streets down below.

They kissed again and again, always slowly, as if to memorize everything and make the moment last longer. At some point, Woohyun pulled him up and started to kiss him more passionately as they stumbled back into the apartment. Only when he whispered a low “Which one is your room?” did Sunggyu start to panic a little. His hands pushed back a little on the other’s chest and Woohyun carefully cupped his face once more. “Don’t worry, I’m not expecting anything.”

And, faithful to his words, they laid there in Sunggyu’s small bed, exchanging a few more innocent kisses, before they fell asleep in each other’s arms, like two kids.

I have really mixed feelings about this one, because, as I said before, this is my story. These were my real feelings and this really happened, except I'm not Sunggyu and he isn't Woohyun. Kind of hard to write honestly, because it hurts to remember beautiful, magical memories when everything is gone.

I really hope you liked it, since this story means a lot to me...

Please leave me some words! :)
