He who longs the sun“It’s this way.” she pointed, feeling a sense a security under his arm.
“Okay.” Hwanuk replied with a smile.
The heavy rain was pouring over them mercilessly and they scampered, trying to find a shade while making way. But it was not uncomfortable at all, in fact she liked it. The compassion and consideration Hwanuk showed her, filled her with butterflies. After a few blocks, the two finally reached a small cottage near the cliff of the hill. Beside it, lays the never ending ocean and its deep, resonating waves. Hwanuk stood still as he listened to them, closing his eyes tightly as if he was imagining something.
“Hwanuk-ssi?” Hawol poked him on the arm.
“The sun…” he trailed off into a silence.
She blinked confusingly for a moment, trying to understand but under such strong wind and heavy rain, her head was not in a condition to comprehend anything. Worse, she was starting to freeze; she could barely detect her own toes. At first, Hwanuk’s quirkiness was adorable, but now she was about to freeze to death and that personality only made her growl. ‘I’m leaving this nut job.’ she screamed mentally, but just as she turned away,
“The sun must look really pretty from here during dusk. The sunrise too, it must be gleaming over your face in the morning right?” the tall young man mumbled alone, with his eyes set on the dark cloudy skies.
“You’re so lucky…” he trailed off into another silence.
Hawol was astonished, not by his disability to finish off his sentences, but rather how he gleamed under the slightest spills of moonlight between the blackest cloud.
