“See!” Hawol shouted, her composure breaking into pieces. "You want me to stay safe right? Why? Why do you want me to be safe, even before, safe, safe, safe! That is all you ever said to me! Just like the others. How are you any different Shin Hwanuk?!!” she came close to him and grabbed his collar, snapping his face closer as she yelled at him mindlessly. Hwanuk’s eyes widened at her wrath, glassy from her words and somehow, they looked damaged. Like a dam, waiting to break apart.
“I can’t leave you. I like talking to you, i like being with you, your ridiculous plants and you super bright room. I like it!!” her voice was not loud nor was it offensive, it was desperate. “Damn it, i like you.”
Just like that, tears rolled down their eyes. Hawol, exhausted by her overwhelming affection and Hwanuk, like an overflowing dam finally bursting free.
Gently, he pulled her closer to his body; her tired shoulder, her rising chest and her teary cheeks. He pulled every broken pieces of her close, and hugged her tight. “I’m sorry.” he cried. Hawol nodded gently in his arms, his cold chest on her cheeks was warm, in a way that they were forgiving. It was alright. Hawol could see that Hwanuk was nervous as well, though his chest was static she could feel him staggering inside. He had flutters just like she did; she bet that he was blushing too. This moment, this precious moment when there was no more secret between them was priceless.
