It started raining again, in the middle of the night, and I couldn't sleep.

What made it worse was the lightning, and the thunder. I've always been afraid of them.

My night light went out, and the whole room was dark.

Another flash of lightning brightened my room, and then followed by the loud, deafening growl of the thunder.

I shivered, fear creeping up upon me.

Suddenly, I heard a creek, and my eyes shifted to the direction of the door.

It was being opened slowly.

I sat up, pulling my blanket up, covering my face.

I peeped slightly, and somebody appeared at the door, holding onto a torchlight.

"Jiyoung?" It was Kiseop.

"Kiseop?" my voice broke slightly.

"Are you okay?" he asked, walking towards me.

I shook my head. 

"The electricity got cut off," he said, explaining why my night light had went out.

"I'm scared," I told him.

"Of the darkness?" he asked.

"No, the lightning. And the thunder," I told him.

Just then, the thunder growled, loud.

I covered my ears and shut my eyes tight.

I heard him laugh.

"I'll stay here okay?" he said, and I felt my bed go down slightly.

I opened my eyes and he was sitting at the front of my bed.

It felt better, having somebody here with me. I remembered when I would run to Appa's room whenever I was afraid of the lightning or the thunder.

"Why aren't you in bed?" I asked him.

"I couldn't sleep," he asnwered.

"And you came here?" 

"Just wanted to check on you," he said quickly.

It was dark, but I was sure I saw his cheeks turn red.
