Appa.

I rushed to his side and held his hand.

"Wake up," I whispered, but I knew it was useless.

I heard some of the stuff the doctor said a while ago, and he said that my father was in a coma,  and we'll never know when he'd wake up.

The tears started to build up again, and I just let them out.

"Appa, please wake up, don't leave me alone," I cried.

"Jiyoung," Mrs Lee came next to me and put her arm around my shoulders.

"He's gonna be fine, he'll wake up soon," she tried comforting me, but it just made me cry harder.

What if he's not okay? What if he's never gonna wake up?

We stayed there for quite some time. Mr Lee had come to visit, after work.

I was tired, but I didn't care. I wanted to be with Appa.

I wanted to be there when he woke up.

"Jiyoung, let's go home," Mrs Lee said, standing up.

I shook my head.

"Jiyoung, we have to. You have to get some rest. We can come here tomorrow."

I sighed.

"Jiyoung, he wouldn't want you to see you like this right?" she spoke again.

I sighed again, and reluctantly stood up.

"Bye Appa, I'm going home," I said, squeezing his hand before going out.
