It was sport festival,  both Myungsoo and Sungyeol were doing their best as the representative from their class. Well, it’s more of Myungsoo was doing the relay with three others while the choding was the leader of supporters team. Being in the age of teen, like any other high schoolers, most of them were hot blooded and obsessed over winning. Different from Myungsoo, though. Ever since he was a kid he had this cool and reserved personality which sometimes didn’t match his age. In personality wise, his childhood best friend, Yeol, was the exact opposite of him. He was reckless and noisy, it’s like the two were coming from a complete different spectrum. And yet, they’re best buddy since the first time they met each other or more since the slightly elder boy started following the latter around and annoyed him.

Their class was competing in the final by now and Myungsoo was their last runner. While his classmates were doing their best, Sungyeol gave his best too to support them. With the loudest voice he could manage, he led his other friends to cheer for their team. The moment the baton was passed to the last runner, his cheer fell in silence for a moment, his heart stopped beating for a second. It was like a slow motion for him, but then the younger dashed like a ray of shooting star, waking him up, and then the choding started cheering again on top of his voice while praying from the bottom his heart.

Though he was reluctant when he was chosen at first, Sungyeol knew better than anybody else that his best friend was doing his best for the relay because their class was actually the underdog in every school festival and had been taken lightly each year. To avenge those humiliations also seeing how hard Sungyeol cheered for him, he didn’t want to let them down.
