Our storyChapter 35 facing the music
Yoona and jonghyun enter the large conference hall of grand intercontinental seoul..
As soon as they entered, hundreds of camera lights started to flashed...
Yoona grabs hold of jonghyun's arm really tight...
Joghyun can feel yoona's nervousness.. He uses his other hand to firmly grip yoona's cold hand.. He then looks at yoona with the warmest smile...
The smile seemed to work... Yoona seemed relaxed a little as she smiled back at him.
This is the big day...
This is their big day....
3 days after coming clean to both their companies, finally the time for the long awaited (and dreaded >.<) has come.
The couple made their way to their seats on the podium facing rows and rows of media... Beside them are the president of both their companies and their respective managers.
"Ok.. Now that everyone is ready... Lets get this started.." One of the event organisers said
The press conference started with jonghyun speaking
"First of all, i'd like to thank everyone to be here today..."
"The reason why we have called this meeting is to explain and clear up few things"
"As you all would know,.. Recently few pictures of yoona-shi has been release into the media..."
"These picture shown her on an intimate position with... An unditified man..."
Jonghyun took a deep breath at this...
"I am here to tell you all that i am that guy"
The crowd immeddiately went into a meltdown
Jonghyun then continued, ignoring all the chatters..
"Me and yoona-shi has been seeing each other for a while now... We have been close since we work together on WGM"
"We see each other alot and our feeling for each other had grown naturally..."
"I have seen and heard the news that has been going around... "
"Comments people make... On the street and on the net...."
Jonghyun paused for a moment....
By now he has received the full and uninterrupted attention of all in the room
"Its not right...... "
"Shes not like that....."
"And i'd be damned if i let her go through this alone" jonghyun said this last word with full determinatioon and even a little anger from how the people been treating yoona
After a few silent moments, jonghyun finally said
"Im prepared to take some questions
And like a storm, a suddenly surge of people stood up, yelling and screaming questions.
"Jonghyun-shi... How long have you two been officially seeing each other" the first reported asked
"Three months" he replied
"When was these picture taken?" The second report asked
"These pictures were leaked without our consent.. Its a private photos showing some private moments..."
"We would like to keep whatever left of our privacy... Private.. So i wont be answering any questions in regards to this matter" jonghyun evaded the question
"Jonghyun-shi.. What took you so long to finally owned up to this... I mean its been over a month... You could have done this much earlier..." Another report asked
"Cos i told him not to..." Yoona suddenly answered..
"I was affraid that if he did he would get dragged into this as well..."
"But then things got so bad.... So we had no choice...."
"Jonghyun-shi.. If you were given the chance to redo everything.. What would you do to undo your mistakes..." One reporter asks
"Mistakes!?.." Jonghyun's eyes flashes in anger as he replies
"Is it a mistake for a guy to love girl??" Jonghyun asked
"Let me ask you,.. All of you in this room" jonghyun
"If someone tells you that you are not allowed to love.. Would you accept it??"
"If they tell you that its wrong to love... That its a mistake!!"
"Would you just take it??!!"
"Let me tell you something.., the only MISTAKE i've made was to not making this public faster than i should"
Yoona can feel jonghyun's getting angrier... She grabs jonghyun's arm to calm him down...
It worked...
Jonghyun looked at yoona for a sec and he cools off a bit...
Another reported stood up and asked
"but dont you both already knew what you are getting into when you started this?"
"I mean you get to be an idol, you get to be famous and alot of people will worship and fantasize you... "
"But in return you will have to give up your love life... Cos fans would rather fantasize about a single idol...."
Jonghyun then replied
"We love music.... . We love to perform.... Thats why we became idols...."
"Its true we knew what we're getting into when we entered the idol industry..."
"And at that time... The dating rules even though we knew was wrong, didnt seemed to concern us..."
"But that was before her....."
Jonghyun slowly turns to yoona and yoona to jonghyun
"After her....."
The couple gave each other the warmest loving smile to each other and the cameras are all there to capture it..
"The rest just dont matter no more...."
Both their president smiles... These moments are the reason why the called the press... If the public can see the affection these two have with their own eyes... They might just understand... And you never know... They might even support them....
"So what plans do the both of you have for the future?" a reporter asks
Yoona moves closer to the mic and answered
"We both would really love to continue doing what we do best...."
"To entertain..."
"We a both still very young... We believe we still have alot more to offer for the industry"
"Yoona-shi.. You are one of the most succesful idol ever.. "
"If you have to make a choice between your carrer and your relationship, which one would you choose" another reporter asks
"I would choose him over everything in this world combined" yoona said with a smile
"Ok... I think thats all the time we got for today..."
"If anyone still have any questions please pass them on to our press department and we will do our best to address them in good time" the event organiser suddenly said
"Before we closed this meeting, if jonghyun-shi could give a final word..."
"......" Jonghyun stayed silent for a minute before he finally says
"At the end of the day...."
"Im just a boy... Who loves a girl...."
"I promised that girl once that i will always protect her and i will always be
there..."
"No matter what the circumstances..."
"No matter bad things will get in the future..."
"I will always keep my word..."
That last word was said with such determination and firmness that everyone can feel.
The couple then stood up..
Bowed and thanked everyone once again for coming before finally leaving hand in hand.
On the way out, yoona tugged jonghyun's shirt and whispered to him "How do you think we do?"
"We did all we could....."
"The rest..... We're just gonna have to leave it up to fate...." Jonghyun replied
The couple made their way to the parking area.. Jonghyun was just about to enter the car when suddenly his phone rang...
He looks at the caller ID to see it was the WGM PD that calls
"Yoboseyo PD-nim" jonghyun said
"Dae.... Dae.... Off course... We will make our way there now..."
Jonghyun then hung up the phone
Yoona looks at jonghyun with a questioning face...
"We have to go to MBC building now.. WGM PD wanted to meet up and discuss the show" jonghyun said
"You think they will cancel our show?... Thats what they normally do when a couple get into scandal right?.... " yoona asked
"Im not sure.... Guess we'll find out..." Jonghyun said..
"I hope we can keep doing that show... :( "yoona said
"We get to go to nice places together and working at the same time" yoona continued..
Jonghyun nodded in agreement
The couple made their way to MBC building and went straight to the designated meeting room. Inside the room they saw the senior WGM PD, Kim-PD waiting for them.
"Annyeonghaseyo Kim-PD" the couple greeted the PD
"Oh... Annyeonghaseyo... Come in, come in... Please sit down..." The PD replied
The couple took to their seats
"So... As you both may already know.. Your part of the show is currently suspended.." The PD said
"Is it?.... Ouch!!!" Jonghyun was talking when suddenly yoona elbowed him
Jonghyun then gave yoona the "what??" Look on her face..
Yoona then gave jonghyun a deadly glare for not watching their own show
The PD smiles at the sight of the couple...
"It seems you guys have come a long way since our first briefing here 6 months ago.. " the PD said with a smile plastered on her face
"Ah dae...." Both jonghyun and yoona quickly realised their little lovers quarrel is watched by the PD. They turned and gave her an awkward smile
"So... Back to the matter at hand..."
"Do you guys still remember 6 months ago when i told you right in this room to keep your private life private....." The PD asks
Yoona and jonghyun both hang their heads down and replied weakly "dae......"
"And you do know that since that part of the deal has been broken, we are free to cancel your show at anytime we see fit..." The PD asks again
"Dae....." The responses from the couple is getting weaker... They knew where this conversation is going...
"However......" The PD continued
"Since the scandal this time doesnt involved a third party... And its actually you two together...."
"And also... Earlier i saw in TV that you guys are finally going public....."
"We decided to put the cancelation of your show on hold"
Both yoona and jonghyun looks up to the PD almost instantly with eyes widened
"Now.. I dont want you to get your hopes up just yet...."
"What we're planning to do is...."
"To run your australian chapter this weekend... "
"And we will do a review next week based on both, the rating on that night and also the public reaction to your recent public announcement..."
"If all things go well... We will continue filming next week and it'll be business as usual..."
"But if not.... Unfortunately... We will have to film a goodbye chapter next week...."
"Well.... It wont be a goodbye for you two since you two are together... .."
"Errr.... Lets called it the ending of the show..."
The couple nods in agreement... Those terms seemed more than reasonable, considering all the trouble they've caused lately..
Jonghyun and yoona talk to the PD for a little longer about the shows details before finally leaving
As they stood, jonghyun and yoona bowed deeply... They thank the PD for her understanding and said sorry for all the trouble
"Aniya.... Its fine...." The PD replied
"In reality... Im quite glad.... That for once.. This show has finally bears fruit of something meaningful"
"Be good to each other..." The PD finally said as she taps both yoona and jonghyun's shoulders lightly..
"Dae!!" The couple said, seemed cheered up by the PD's encouragement
After the PD left the room, They looked at each other and smile..
Jonghyun then said "kaja, i'll take you back to your dorm"
"Wae? Wae? Wae?... Its not even 4 pm yet and both of us got no schedule?!"
"I wanna go on a date!!!!" Yoona demanded
Now that they've gone public yoona can finally do things that she always wanna do as a couple...
"I wanna sort things out with donghae-shi" jonghyun replied
"!! I'll come with you" yoona said
"No... The moment he sees you, he will loose all common sense... "
"Then whatever i m going to say will be useless..."
"Be a good girl and stay at home, ok?" Jonghyun said trying to persuade yoona
Yoona pouted but nodded... She then said "call me as soon as you're done, ok?"
"I will.. I promise" jonghyun replied
And so jonghyun took yoona home and her all the way up to her door...
Just as she was about to enter, she turns to jonghyun and said
"I still wanna spend time with u :( " she then pouted cutely
Jonghyun smiled at the sight of his cute girlfriend....
He moves closer and put his hand around her waist..
"How bout this.. Why dont you and your sisters come to our dorm on sunday... We'll have a dinner or something.." Jonghyun said as he pet yoona's head softly
"Cheongmal!!! Are you sure thats ok??!!" Yoona eyes widened in excitement
"Sure.. The boys just got back from their last tour so we're on break" jonghyun replied
"Ahhhh!!! But some of us got schedules though... Never mind, i'll see who can come, ok?" Yoona asked
Jonghyun just nooded
"I better get going now..." Jonghyun said
"Uhmmmm... Jongie-ah.... About donghae-oppa... Remember not to...." Yoona softly said when jonghyun suddenly let go his hug and said
"Not to do anything to him.. Arasso.. Arasso...."
Jonghyun's expression turned sour.. He was about to walked off when yoona suddenly pulled him back to her and kiss him squarely on the lips...
The kiss lasted for a bout a minute or so...
After a while yoona broke the kiss.. She said
"I dont want you to get into anymore trouble... You been through enough because of me.... If anymore trouble happens.. I would feel really bad....."
"I would feel like a real bad influence on you... " yoona said as she hangs her head down
Jonghyun lifted yoona's chin with his finger to face him... Yoona looks at him and jonghyun looks at her...
Jonghyun then smiles and says "dont worry... I wont.... I promise...."
She immediately cheered up and hugged him tight...
"Now go in...." Jonghyun said...
Yoona pecked jonghyun's cheek and ran inside grinning like she just won a lottery...
Jonghyun just smiles and shakes his head, looking at the childish behaviour of his girlfriend...
Afterward, jonghyun made his way straight to super junior dorm. Jonghyun is close with SuJu's maknae.. He's been there few times so he knows the way...
When he finally downstairs, jonghyun pressed the buzzer...
"Yoboseyo!" The sound from the intercom says
"Annyeonghaseyo... Its lee jonghyun from cnblue is donghae-shi around?" Jonghyun asked
"Oh!!! Jonghyun-ahh! Its shindong! Come up! He's here" Shindong said over the intercom
"Dae... Kamsahamida hyung"jonghyun replied
Shindong is another one of the SuJu member he is close too... Thats why.. Even without yoona's urging him... There is very little chance jonghyun will create trouble there...
As soon as he knocks the door.. Kyuhyun opens the door. He looks worried.. He grabs jonghyun's shoulder and said...
"Jonghyun-ah... Calm down... Ok??... Dont create trouble ok??... We can talk everything out, ok?..."
Jonghyun looks at the reaction of kyuhyun.. That and the fact that almost all of the members are in the living room, seemingly waiting for him to get in... He could kinda guessed that they all knew what is going on..
Jonghyun bowed to all of them before saying to kyuhyun "aniya hyung... Im just here to talk... I wanna settle this once and for all...."
Kyuhyun looks at him suspiciously... He is the closes to jonghyun out of all the SuJu members. He knows full well about jonghyun and his temper...
"Really? Just talk?..." He asked
"Dae..... Just have something to tell him.... I wanna make sure these things wont happen again.... I promise i wont cause trouble...." Jonghyun replied
Kyuhyun nodded and said... "Hold on... I'll go get him"
A few seconds later, donghae came out of his room...
He has that worried on his face... Well.. After a broken nose... Its natural i guess for him to be worried... Even when there's 9 guys in the living room...
Jonghyun saw donghae came out...
He looks at him for a second before finally says
"Donghae-shi...we both know what happened last month and why..."
"For me, its all in the past.... "
"Whats done is done...."
"What matters to me is the future....."
"Yoona considered you as one of her best friend...."
"I would like very much to believe that you are a good person and you do care for yoona"
"And the last thing we both would want is for her to be hurt"
Jonghyun stopped for a second at this... He sees a hint of regret on donghae's face
"So Let this be your final warning"
"There will be no more talking...."
"Next time...."
"I will make sure you suffer so slowly....."
"You will beg me for death....."
