Yesung stayed outside the big ward which had so many patients inside it, sneaked his head in to find where Ryeowook was. He found him was reading a book to a woman who didn’t even move or realized that Ryeowook was there. he kept staring at them for a while and almost screamed when a hand tapped his shoulder. He looked to the one who hit him slowly and surprised.

“may I know what are you doing here?”

“hmmm… I want to visit someone… but I don’t know where she is.. that’s why I’m looking for her..”

“may I know her name? maybe I can help to look for her room on computer..”

“I guess that lady… the one with someone reading a book next to her..”

“aaah… that’s Mrs. Kim Jung Ah… she has glucose and two wounds on her feet that not easily healed… she couldn’t breathe normal too.. that’s why she needs oxygen.. [smiled]  her son, Ryeowook, is her only hope since her husband dead because of accident. He works after he spends two hours here to pay for the treatment.. because he only capable pay for the hall, so this is the best we could have for her…”

“so you mean, if that son could pay more, she’ll get a private room with a better medical tools?”

“yes… the treatment is expensive… and he only works part time until night.. that’s why we don’t ask him to pay more..”

Yesung saw Ryeowook for a moment before he turned to the nurse again. “is she okay? I mean… is she sleeping?”

“no… she isn’t sleeping.. she’s… you can say… in passive condition.. her brain is not giving a feedback and all she does is close her eyes.. maybe it’s because the oxygen too… Ryeowook could only pay 100.000 won for a day for the oxygen…”

“will she gets better if she gets a better treatment?”

“I think so.. she’ll get a private doctor too or perhaps another way out if she’s in a better care..”

“how much this hospital needs for her for a day?”

“why? you’re not her relative, right?”

“just don’t tell me you see me here.. I’m just going to help…”

“then let me get you the detail about her… you want to go with me?”

“sure…”

It took almost ten minutes for Yesung to understand the condition of Ryeowook’s mother. she definitely needs a better treatment and Yesung gladly help her without even think twice. He handed his credit card and felt something good inside him.

for the first time, I use this card for a good reason… this Ryeowook really drives me crazy…

He almost fell asleep in bored when he saw Ryeowook walked him by and went outside. He fixed his uniform and right away picked his bag before he ran a little, afraid that he might lose Ryeowook. when he found his target again, he asked himself where Ryeowook would go now and he didn’t find any clue. He kept following until Ryeowook made his final stop in a small restaurant that only fit for no less than 20 people in it. he waited outside to see Ryeowook changed his clothes to his restaurant’s uniform covered by green apron and a green hat.

so this is where he works everyday… this is why he couldn’t follow Kyuhyun’s tutor until Friday… this guy is…

he saw Ryeowook asked some people what they wanted to eat and he had urge to do the same. But he knew Ryeowook couldn’t find out about his existence there. so Yesung told a guy to buy him some food and he also bought the guy his dinner. He ate outside the restaurant while looking the neighborhood, enjoyed everything he can. He realized that the place was simply quiet and he just knew that he longed for a place like that, instead a club with full music that almost broke his ears.

how does Ryeowook find this place? he even has amazing taste for a place.

Yesung fell asleep on the bench but woke up like a drunk man when a truck passed him by, realized that he was still outside. where am I, he thought, why am I doing here? he took a while before he found out Ryeowook and the crew locked the door of the restaurant. Then he walked closer and heard the chief talked.

“today… the restaurant is not busy.. not many people came to eat so today, I can only give you some, Ryeowook… [stared at Ryeowook’s eyes]  I’m sorry.. I know you need money for your mom.. but the income for tonight is not much..”

“it’s okay, sir… I can understand. thank you for the tip today… I still can pay the hospital with my salary in the next few days..”

“you’re a hard worker, Ryeowook… and you always optimist.. that’s why I like to have you here..”

Ryeowook smiled and excused himself to the chief and his friends. He walked to the road, next to the garden and hummed to himself. “I guess I couldn’t eat tonight… I already bought a chocolate for Yesung today.. this is for my breakfast tomorrow. [sighed]  be strong, Ryeowook…”

Behind him, there was a man who held the chocolate bar on his hand tightly.

this chocolate means the world to me… Ryeowook gave it to me rather than he get something to eat for himself.. you got me, Ryeowook!

Ryeowook walked slowly and entering the gate of his school. If he wasn’t Mr. Kim Na Moo son, he won’t be able to go to this school. He wasn’t stupid basically but he just not quite understand about math and that was why some Science teachers asked to those who brilliant on math to help another student like Ryeowook. he never imagined that someone would love to help him and he thanked Kyuhyun for that. he remained wonder why the teachers didn’t ask Yesung for a help cause the entire school also knew that he was a champion on math, even his behavior got changed.

He went to the school a bit early so he could sleep on his class cause he didn’t get enough sleep last night. He was hungry and his head was dizzy so he couldn’t close his eyes until 3 AM. He woke at 5.30 before he got ready and went to school on his feet around 6.15. he didn’t have another choice but to walk slowly cause he had no enough money for his mother’s transfusion and a ticket bus to go to the hospital.

Sighed, he entered his class with the thought when I can get something to eat in his mind. He stopped after he took five steps when he saw there were bunches of food on his table. He found two chocolate bars, bread and a pack of rice rolls with fish inside it. his stomach responded when he gulped, wanted to taste the foods so much. He looked around and no one had arrived yet.

who gave me this? Yesung? but he hasn’t come yet… or someone who gave me a chocolate few days ago? [sighed] can I eat these? Oh God… I am so hungry…

he found a little card under the rice rolled box and he opened it. his heart flustered as blush filled his cheeks. The foods were from Yesung cause he wrote, these are for you only! don’t give them to someone else if you don’t want me to eat you! eat!

He had no worry anymore cause he thought someone might placed the food in wrong seat but since they were from Yesung, he believe they were for him. he ate them gladly but kept the chocolate bars inside his bag. these are for later, he said.

Not far from the class, Yesung smiled happily when he found Ryeowook ate the food he bought before he came. He even didn’t sleep just to plan it. when he knew it went smoothly, he thanked to God for it.

He wanted to say thank you to Yesung but he knew it was their 9th day so he had to act to hate Yesung in front of everyone. He walked to a place that usually a spot for Yesung and his group hang out, under the white gazebo and saw many people there. he walked a bit slower when he heard his name being talked about.

“so how’s your relationship with the cute guy?”

“fine… it’s over I guess.. I make him fly high with my actions… today… I think I will make him back to the earth.. [laughed]  guess it will be easy…”

Ryeowook stunned with the words he heard until he couldn’t move an inch. He didn’t even moved away when Yesung’s buddies praised Yesung as the best player and they walked away with the girls when the bell rand. He stayed there until he found Yesung was busy with his phone and didn’t aware that Ryeowook was stand 2 meters in front him until he heard him talked.

“so… the foods this morning was your last action to sent me to the moon? [Yesung looked up and his eyes widened] and the conversation just now is suppose to make me back to the earth?”

Yesung realized Ryeowook’s voice was shaking and it meant that Ryeowook held his anger or tears just to say what he wanted. he had no chance to defend himself cause Ryeowook talked again.

“you win, Yesung… congratulation… and I hope after this, there won’t be you in my days again.. enjoy the car…”

Then Ryeowook left, without turned his head back again, made Yesung felt lost in a war he never thought would be created.

Ryeowook could feel Yesung kept staring at him inside the class but he didn’t care about it. he wished the class would be over soon so he could focus his mind on his mother and his job. He kept told himself not to cry but Yesung’s attention for the last few days had been touched his deepest heart. He always idolized him but he never thought he would be the target to fill Yesung’s wish for a car. He was hurting so much that day and he wished he wasn’t there as he kept failing on praying that Yesung would be disappeared.

“Ryeowook, wait! I want to talk to you… [grabbed Ryeowook’s hand]  wait! please…”

Ryeowook stopped but didn’t turned, he didn’t want Yesung saw his face. “what? don’t you think it’s wise to talk to me right now? [breathe heavily]  your friends might see us and you won’t get your car..”

“but…”

“but what? [pulled his hand from Yesung]  I’m busy.. I have to go…”

That time, Yesung wished he could stop the time so he could ask himself if he made the right decision or not. but when Ryeowook pulled his hand from him, he felt Ryeowook also took out his heart and brought it with him. he disappeared from his sight…

“where is my mom? nurse… where is she?”

“relax, Ryeowook… [smiled]  you mom is moved to the block C cause block A and B is already full..”

“block C? [shocked]  but I don’t even have any money just to pay for the treatment for a day… why you moved her there?”

“someone paid for your mother’s treatment… he paid for… [turning papers]  the next ten days..”

“what?? who?? I don’t think I have cousin or nephew around here… who paid everything?”

“hmmm… in his credit card he was using yesterday… Kim Jongwoon… yes, it’s written Kim Jongwoon. Do you know him?”

“Kim Jongwoon… [thinking]  I don’t think I have relatives with that name… who is he?”

“I don’t know either.. wait.. I think you have to meet Miss Da Hae cause she was the one who take care everything.”

Ryeowook was waiting in the nurse’s room until someone he wanted to see came. He smiled and listened carefully when she told him the detail. He kept thinking while he was walking to where his mother was but he didn’t found anything.

who this Kim Jongwoon is? why he wants to spend a lot of money for my mom? doesn’t he has his own mother? does he want to steal mom? yaa! Ryeowook! think straight, will you? why someone wants to steal your mother? stupid!

He scratched his head which not itchy at all cause he found another dead end and he didn’t like it when he couldn’t find an answer. He kept walking until he arrived at block C and looked for C1 room then he looked around. The condition was different with the ward room at the front side of the hospital. the alley was too quiet and clean so the patients could have their rest perfectly. He saw at least there was a nurse who kept checking the patient once in a while. Suddenly he felt so happy and forgot what happened at school.

It had been three days after Ryeowook talked to him at the gazebo area and Yesung still not sure about what he wanted. he liked Ryeowook, no doubt about it but when he thought about relationship and future, he took another step backward. In another side, the urge of having Ryeowook close grew bigger until he couldn’t control it. but he had to face disappointment when Ryeowook didn’t even look at him, even though they met in the alleys around school. Ryeowook was getting further and he hated it.

Like what happened today was hurting him Yesung but he wanted to be honest to himself about Ryeowook. he saw Ryeowook was going to the library and it meant that Ryeowook needed to walked in front of where he sat with his group. He tried to focus on Eunhyuk’s story about an accident he saw on his way to go to school while his eyes kept waiting for Ryeowook to walk closer. He was totally in pain when he realized that Ryeowook was never going to walk in front of him cause when his eyes seized the area, he found Ryeowook took the longest way around to go to the library.

he doesn’t want to see me now.. God!! this is so frustrating! everyone is looking for my attention while he’s avoiding me..

Ryeowook was reading a History book when Yesung pulled a chair in front of him with a smile on his face. Ryeowook looked up and he looked away immediately. He closed the book and gathered the other books on the table, before he stood up and wanted to find a new chair. But someone stopped him and Ryeowook knew it was Yesung. he pulled his hand but he failed cause Yesung held it tightly.

“would you please listen to me?”

“now what? what else you want to do to me?”

“I just want to give you this… [handed a thick brown envelope]  this is for you..”

“what is this? please stop giving me something!”

“but you helped me.. so this is for you..”

Ryeowook quickly opened the sealed envelope and he found money in it. he shocked cause he never hold that amount of money in his hands. But as the truth blew him back to the ground, he threw the envelope back to Yesung but it fell on the floor. he looked at Yesung on the eyes this time and he failed stopping his tears from fall. With a low tone, he made Yesung realized the mistake he just made.

“I never helped you for money… I know money is not important for you.. that’s why you can spend it as much as you like.. I helped you because I don’t want to have any more business with you! I hate you, Yesung! [sobbed] even I need so much money right now.. I’d rather not sleep every night than I have to accept a help from you! I don’t want your car.. I don’t need your money… and mostly.. I wish I never met you in this life!”

And once again, Ryeowook left him alone, drowned into regrets and questions that filled him there…

Ryeowook’s tears fell when he walked to the block C and stopped in front of his mother’s room. He sighed, couldn’t believe what Yesung did to him at the library. He already told himself to forget that man but it was hard cause he knew he was a bit happy when Yesung chose him as his target. Even he knew it won’t be less than ten days, still Ryeowook loved to get closer to Yesung. it would be his first time to be recognized by the one he idolized since they started their first year.

He was about to turned the knob when he heard someone read a story he used to read to his mother. he glued his ear to the door and he heard it again. The tone of the voice was happy and didn’t sound like he was in a hurry. does the Kim Jongwoon arrives to have a look to mom, a thought crossed in his mind. He didn’t brave enough to open the door but he also wanted to see the man who saved his last survived family. He dared to rotate the knob and the door opened in front of him. Ryeowook took a step to enter the room and his bag fell behind his leg.

“what the are you doing here?
