Eunjung's P.O.V

I couldn’t stop it, and in my favor I can say I didn’t see it coming, but again what can I expect from Yoomi?

Here we were at the entrance of the damn café we met with the other guys that stupid night I wanted to erase from my mind. I miserably regretted my lack of worry for my appearance. Last time I looked pretty decent, you could still believe I was an idol, but tonight I look like a beggar.

Ripped jeans, an over-sized discolored shirt, white dirty sneakers and not even a little bit of mascara. I made sure I looked extra bad tonight without even trying. Did I even have these things in my closet? God, I might as well start asking for money in the streets. The last thing I wanted was to meet with other people aside from the girls, yet here I am.

Of all the nights, why tonight? It was even worse to stand beside Yoomi dress like this. I swear I look like a floating poop with legs beside her.

The only decent-looking thing about my appearance was my hair, that I made sure covered much of my bare face. Crap, I couldn’t possibly look worse. My image will be completely shatter. Well, I only hope he wasn’t there.

At first I thought that call from Seungho earlier was my ’s savior, but no. Why didn’t my stomach tickle when he called, I should have known something like this would have likely happen. They wanted to meet again, or at least that was Seungho stated clear last time.

Why did Dahyun needed to go? Why did Jaeri needed to go? Now here I am alone with Yoomi in front of the stairs I dreaded. At least it would have been less awkward with Jaeri and Dahyun, but no, the heavens wanted me to be a third-wheel for the rest of the night.

Why third-wheel? Because I still consider Seungho’s friends strangers, and as long as they are strangers I will be shy and awkward, and if you asked me I prefer to be a third-wheel and spend time with Yoomi rather than be an awkward dumb failing to socialize.

But the Seungho I met last time was a nice guy that like to make others around him feel comfortable rather than out of place, so the evening wouldn’t be that bad, or that I hope.

“Come on Eunjung, you met with them last time. You didn’t get to know them that well, but I assured Seungho’s friends are really nice, even if they look quite intimidating.” Yoomi spoke cutting my thoughts.

I just nodded absent-mindedly and walk up the stairs after her. As I took each step all my confidence vanish. I just pray I wasn’t meeting him here.

The moment I took the last step my eyes met with Yoomi’s back when I lifted them.

We were greeted by Seungho who stood up from his chair and shook hands with me. He smiled at me, and I couldn’t help but smile back. I didn’t dare to stare at the men sited across the table, so I just focused in Yoomi and Seungho.

I didn’t know if he was there, but I guess he wasn’t because Yoomi didn’t turned to give one of her teasing smirks, so now I felt confident enough to lift my stare to Seungho’s friends, but clearing my throat to finally speak my eyes caught a glimpse of Seunghyun sited at the left of the guy whose name I couldn’t recall.

Crap, this evening was going to be a torture. Just when I thought this couldn’t get worse. Now I didn’t have a reason to escape, I didn’t have Jaeri to help me, or Dahyun to talk to me. Was my luck that bad?

“H-Hi.” Yes, my luck was that bad. I just needed to stutter too. “Hello.” I clear my throat staring straight at the guy whose name I forgot. “Nice to meet you guys again.”

The man whose name I didn’t remember smiled at me and greet me back, so did the other one at his right which name I also forgot. God, I was so frustrating.

Seunghyun didn’t spare a look at my direction. Did he even notice I was here? I know that I look bad but not even sparing me a look is way too offensive.

I stand still in front of the table for 3 more awkward seconds expecting at least a ‘hi’ from him but he was too entertained with his phone to even notice. Was he ignoring me?

I used to think he care a bit about me, but now he was ignoring me? Or didn’t he notice me?

I suddenly grew slightly annoy and I turned to stare back at the guy I first greeted.

“Eunjung, take a sit.” Seungho spoke.

I sat across the guy to the right of the one I first greeted. I make sure to take the farthest seat from Seunghyun, and then turn to see any reaction after Seungho call my name, but none. Didn’t he heard Seungho just call my name?

I sighed quietly and decided not to spare him another look, so I lifted my stare and my eyes met with the guy I was sited across. What was his name? Sohyun? No, was it Hyuksoo. Oh wait, I think it was Sookhyun. No, that didn’t sounded right.

“So Eunjung-sshi, why were you this late partying with this trouble maker? Be careful with Yoomi she might as well set a whole town in fire if I let her.” Seungho cut the silent, and I was more than glad.

I chuckled at his statement and turned to stare at him. “Well, I didn’t expect the dinner to end so late, but we met with some friends that left earlier, so here we are.”

“Oh I see.” Seungho spoke. “Thank you for taking care of this thing.”

“What thing?” Yoomi bickered.

“You.”

“Yah.” Yoomi hit his arm lightly.

Seungho smirked and I smiled at their playfulness.

“Anyways, what were you guys talking about? Why do you all seem so serious?” Yoomi began.

I turned to stare at the guys and my eyes met with Seunghyun. He already notice me, but still didn’t even say ‘hi’. Okay, now I was annoy, but I wasn’t letting it show.

“Nah, we were just talking about men’s stuff, you wouldn’t understand.” The guy across me spoke, and I suddenly remember his name, he was Soohyuk.

“You wouldn’t understand? Or you don’t want her to hear?” I also spoke a little bother by Seunghyun. I was not letting him affect me, so it was time I also started a conversation and stop thinking about him.

Soohyuk chuckled and clicked his tongue.

“Maybe both.” The man beside him commented.

Soohyuk and Seugho chuckled at the man’s statement, and I felt like I added something to the conversation. I was somehow improving.

“No, but seriously, what do men talk about between men?” Yoomi insisted.

She was so shameless. You don’t ask a man to tell you about men’s stuff. I swear Yoomi is totally embarrassing from time to time.

“Why are you so interested, Yoomi?” The man asked.

“Tell me, Hyunjong.” Yoomi pressed.

The man’s name was Hyunjong, I suddenly recall.

“You don’t want to hear it.” Seungho started.

“Oh please, what is so bad about it?” Yoomi questioned.

“Is the same thing if I ask you about what you girls talk about.” Seungho started. “Now, will you open up to that topic?”

“Oh please, don’t act like is the end of the world. Eunjung and I talk about boys and…” She suddenly stopped after realizing what she just said in front of her boyfriend.

I couldn’t help but slap my forehead lightly. Yoomi, you just didn’t said that. I turned to Seungho to see a reaction and he wore a rather annoy expression.

“Boys?” Seungho turned to Yoomi. “You talk about boys when you have me?”

Now save your , Yoomi, I’m not sacrificing my tongue.

“No, no. I didn’t mean that.” Yoomi tried to convince him.

I couldn’t help but laugh quietly at her try. The others were too chuckling at the situation.

“Then, what do you mean?” Seungho asked.

Yoomi hesitated for a moment before smirking at my direction. Why me?

“I have no particular interest, baby, we were talking about some boys for Eunjung.” Yoomi said.

Seriously Yoomi?

That wasn’t entirely a lie, because we were talking about some guys at dinner with Dahyun, but I wasn’t showing any particular interest at all.

“For Eunjung?” Seungho turned to smirk at my direction.

He bought it? Wow, Yoomi was exceptionally good with her words.

“Yeah.” Yoomi spoke again. “There’s this guy she met at a hotel when she lost her room key.”

Yeah, just slipped in a lie and the situation will suddenly look more belivable. That was a big fat lie, but still it set the excitement of the whole table. They were all staring at me, including Seunghyun whose neutral expression I couldn’t read.

“Tell them about him, Eunjung.” Yoomi ushered me.

I was about to deny everything but she pleaded me with one soft stare, and I couldn’t help but follow her rhythm to not make her look bad in front of all this people, especially her boyfriend. She will seriously pay me back for this.

“So?” Soohyuk stared at me.

I stared directly at Yoomi and smiled back at her to assured I got her message to help her out.

“So I lost the key and the members weren’t around.” I lied.

“And he offer to help.” Yoomi added.

This lie was expanding and expanding miserably in front of my eyes.

“Yes, he offered, but then I received a call from my member telling me she had the key.” There, let’s end the story.

Yoomi wasn’t satisfied with my lack of enthusiasm so she rolled her eyes and spoke again.

“That wasn’t what you told me, Eunjung.” She smirked.

I swear Yoomi will be the end of my dignity. “And what did I told you then?”

“You told me he walk with you to reception, but it was too crowded, so you two decided to look for it around. You even told me he was

Chapter 51: Wow... When I read your story I felt like I was riding in a roller coaster. I was happy for Eunjung, I got confuse over Seunghyun's behaviour towards Ej, and I got stress when Ej was sad in your story.
Thanks for making this beautiful story authornim. Even though I was hoping that you would give a more intimate ending for Ej and Seunghyun, but that's okay... I know you've worked hard for this story and I'm grateful you didn't hang out 'barefooted' in the first place.

Once again, thanks for your hardwork authornim. Hope you have a great year ahead :)
And I wish someday you'll write about Eunjung and Seunghyun again. A romantic and happy ending one. :D
