[TaeYeon POV]

"TaeYeon?! Where are you?!"

I heard the voice approaching closer to me.

When LeeTeuk spotted me, his footsteps quickened.

I could tell there was something on his mind.

"TaeYeon! Oh my gosh, I've finally found you. Please listen to me! I didn't mean to take that bet! I only wanted to fit in, please forgive me!"

I saw sweat on his forehead.

Was he worried or was that just from running here?

"Whatever, LeeTeuk."

"TaeYeon, please. I want to be your true friend. I don't care about the bet, the bet is nothing to me."

I looked at him in the corner of my eye.

"Okay, sure. I wouldn't care if you took the bet or not. But, how you agreed on it is what upsets me."

"I know, TaeYeon. And I'm sorry for that. I wasn't thinking when I accepted it."

"Mhm.." I mumbled and walked away from him.

Suddenly, his hand was on my shoulder.

A quick memory of my Father grabbing me and pushing me to the ground by the shoulder shot through my brain.

I recoiled away from him, quickly and violently. My eyes widened at him, in full alertness.

"Sorry, TaeYeon! I thought you said we were friends now!" He said in his defense.

"Look LeeTeuk!"

I started to yell now.

His face changed from annoyed to shocked.

"You can't ALWAYS get what you want. Just because you want me to be friends with you, doesn't mean you'll get it. My trust for men will probably always be low and you think you can just change that all of a sudden?! You have to give me time, LeeTeuk!"

"I'm sorry, TaeYeon. I really am. I'll give you time." He backed off.

I felt my stomach ache. It hurt. A lot.

I quickly made a spin and started to head a certain direction.

"Where are you going!?" He called out loudly and followed me.

"Home."

"What? I wanted to go out to eat with you though!"

Out to eat? Like a date? Who does he think he is?!
"Did you not just hear what I said!?" I hissed.

"NO. NOT AS A DATE!" He was shouting back at me "I mean as just dorm mates."

"Just dorm mates?" I sighed at his silliness.

"Yeah. I'll pay." 

I chuckled. "Fine. Whatever." and stumbled onto a bench, calling the taxi to pick us up.

While waiting for the taxi, the atmosphere became uncomfortable.

I moved around in my seat a lot while he paced around.

That was when I realized. IT WAS COLD.

My arms and legs were freezing.

How did it get from sunny to freezing cold all of a sudden?

I mean, it was so hot in the afternoon. The evening wouldn't be that cold.

I was only wearing a tank top with a sleeveless cardigan on top.

And only leggings on the bottom.

I rubbed my hands on my arms, trying to warm myself up and I looked to my left to see a family walking by.

The man was holding his daughters hand while the mom held the other.

The little girl looked so happy. The father looked like a loving father and the mother seemed to be enjoying the moment.

I became jealous. 

Why did they have that while my childhood was horrible?

I was interrupted by something wrapping around me.

I looked at my arm. 

A jacket had suddenly appeared.

LeeTeuk had given me his jacket.

"No. It's okay." I started to move the jacket off of me, as quick as possible.

"Take it. You're obviously freezing and I'm not cold at all."

"No, its fine. I don't want it." I muttered back.

"Stop being stubborn and just take the jacket." LeeTeuk spoke in a low voice.

I quickly nodded at his response and stopped removing it off my self and looked away again to the family.

This time, the father was carrying the little girl in his arms and smiling.

The little girl also looked like she was having a great time.

The mother was taking pictures of the family together.

I smiled then. 
I pitied myself. How I had a childhood like I did,

while this girl had it all.

She had a mother and father that didn't fight and they loved each other.

"Is something wrong?"

I turned to see LeeTeuk frowning at me.

"What?" I asked bluntly.

"You've been staring at those people for a while now ... Do you know them?"

I shook my head and looked away from the family.

"Then why...?"

"Doesn't matter. The taxi's here let's go."

I pushed off the chair and walked towards the taxi, opening the door widely and stepping in.

"Where to, miss?" The man asked while LeeTeuk got in right behind me.

I used this opportunity while I could and said:

"The closest bar in town, please."
