Dead Roses

His eyes fluttered open, a single rose lying on the pillow beside him. He smiled and reached for the artificial flower, running his fingers gently over the texture of the petals.

How his love never failed to miss the chance to leave a rose on the pillow every year baffled him considering it had been years since they've least seen another.

Jongin knew the extent of Taemin's love. Why else would Taemin give him the roses every year on his birthday?

And then, like every year, Jongin would remember -- Taemin was dead.

So how did Taemin give him the roses?
