I looked deep in his eyes. It was really him, it was really Taemin. He was even more perfect in person. His lips were pink and plump, his eyes bright and big, his teeth shiny and pearly. Everything about him was so poised and perfect. He didn't seem like the goofy Taemin I saw in so many videos online.

I couldn't get myself to look away. I wanted to tell him how much I loved him, how much I dreamed about this moment. The endless nights I stayed up longing to meet him. But I couldn't do that. He wouldn't want people to treat him that way. So, I pretended like I didn't know he was Korea's dancing king. And acting is what I do best, after all.

"Nice to meet you too! You're new here right?" I asked, smiling brightly.

"Yeah, thanks for coming over here. I felt really lonely..." He said with a soft smile that made me bite my lip. I was about to explode at any moment.

"Oh, no problem. I love making new friends. And plus, I remember when I was new, I wished people would talk to me," I said, trying my best to be myself.

He nodded, "Would you mind giving me a tour around? Since I don't really know my way around..." He said. He looked confused, like a little lost kid. I wanted to give him a hug. He was so cute, just how I imagined.

I nodded, "No problem! Follow me," I said, walking him to the lockers. The halls were bustling with people, and for a second I forgot about all of the people in there but one. The one who I had to pretend I didn't know. 

"Here's your locker," I said, opening it for him. 

"Thank-" He started, but was cut off by the first period bell, "you so much. I'll see you around," He said, with the smile that made me feel butterflies inside.

As soon as he left, I felt lightheaded. I wanted to sit on the ground and just go over what had just happened, but before I even got the chance to move a muscle, one of the girls from the iest clique came up to me.

"HEY! How've you beeeeeeeeeeeeeen?!" She said, giving me a kiss on each cheek. I could feel the muscles in my neck tense up. 

I just nodded and smiled. She was the most obnoxious one. She always thought everyone loved her, and that everything she said was the law at our school. Too bad everyone but her plastic friends disagreed. 

"Oh, the boy you we're just hanging out with.. MAJOR HOTTIE! Got a thing for him?" She said, winking and nudging me. I knew where this was going. I was NOT, under any circumstances going to give her any chances with MY Taemin. Neither was I going to tell her I liked him, because I might as well just tell the whole school. 

"Well, he's new and he just wants to get settled in right now. I really don't think he wants anyone hitting on him," I said, with fake pity on my face. She sighed and walked away, strutting. Thank. God.

As I walked to class, well more like skipped to class, I realized how lucky I was. Taemin Lee was going to my school. Asked me for a tour of the school. Has many similar classes to me. What are the odds? I loved him so much, and it felt like I knew him since forever. Now my fangirl crush, was a real life crush, and I was falling hard and fast.

Last period finally came. I couldn't wait to be dismissed so I could maybe get a chance to talk to Taemin after school. I had so many questions, so much I wanted to talk to him about, that I couldn't stop writing and doodling in my notebook. 

As soon as the bell rang, I darted right up to exit. I was so excited I tripped and flew across the room, bumping into one of the plastic girls from the cliques. I had always been so klutzy. Ugh, why now?! I just wanted to leave quietly.

She fell on her knees and started to wail as her friends helped her up, asking, 'are you alright?!' helplessly. They looked so pitiful, like they were looking at some goddess. I wanted to slap some sense into each and every one of them, but that wouldn't get me anywhere.

She pushed them away, turned around to glare at me and started screaming at me, while I just stood there rolling my eyes. 

"Sorry, god," I said, while she still screamed at me. I realized we were attracting a lot of attention, which was the opposite of what I wanted. If I wanted anything this year, it would be to stay out of the spotlight, but that didn't seem like a possibility as of late.

Amongst the crowd of people, I noticed one very special person chuckling at my situation. I couldn't help but laugh too. 

"YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?! I COULD'VE BROKEN A BONE!! STAY AWAY FROM ME!!" The girl screamed at me. I shook her off and walked away, shoving my hands in my pockets. Sensitive es. Like I could give a what anyone though about me, unlike them. So I walked away, silently laughing under my breath.

"Hey-" I heard someone call from behind me as I was making my way back home. I turned around and to my surprise, it was Taemin.

"Hi!" I said, feeling as my cheeks heated up and my mood brightened.

"That was awesome back there. You really stood up to them," He said, grinning. I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. Hearing this from Taemin was the best thing that had happened yet, unless of course, you count meeting Taemin.

"Nah. Oh, want to know something real funny?" He nodded. "One of them asked me if you were single!" 

For a second, he looked at me with disbelief and then started laughing like there was no tomorrow. "Like I would ever go out with any of them. Just tell them that I'm busy for the next two years," He said, in between laughs. I couldn't help but laugh along. His laugh was so contagious.

"You're really cool. I hope we get to be good friends," He said, cocking his head to the right and grinning.

Did he know he was killing me?

"Me too!" I said, smiling back sweetly.

He gave me a cute bow and hopped into a white SUV. 

Did he see me jump around with excitement after he left?
