-Baekhyun’s POV-

It’s been a few hours since Namji left. We were all starting to get worried about her. Suho hyung couldn’t wait any longer so he contacted the elders about this. They were of course furious about it, they’ll be coming from EXO planet here to Earth. It will take exactly 1 hour for them to arrive here. I am probably the one to take the blame, it is in fact my fault that we can’t find Namj. EXOM went out to see if they can find her, while EXOK stayed here to wait for the Elders to arrive.

Suho hyung was in his room talking to someone on the phone, D.O was in the kitchen because apparently Kai saw a mouse in there, and Sehun and Chanyeol were playing games. I stayed quiet thinking about the whole situation. I was preparing myself for the scolding I was going to face when they arrive.

“Hey Baek, don’t stress too much” Chanyeol encouraged.

“Yeah hyung! Chill for now” Sehun also added.

“Here play with us!”

I replied with a smile and walked to them.

I wasn’t really in the mood to play around when such an issue was happening. But I couldn’t be bothered starting an argument, I would never win an argument between these two, there’s no use.

-Namji’s POV-

“Appa. How did you know that? Or was that just a lucky guess?” I asked.

He didn’t reply but just let out a sigh and scratched the back of his neck. I was getting really curious. Did he know this was going to happen?

“I- Namji… I’m sorry. I really am” He spoke gently.

“Why are you apologizing? Did you know about this?” I asked

Once again he didn’t reply, he just looked out the window.

“Please answer me”

“Yes” He answered

I gasped although I had a feeling he was going to say that. I slightly felt betrayed that he didn’t tell me before.

“But I didn’t know it would happen this early” He continued

“You knew about these things?” I asked again to make sure.

“This wasn’t meant to happen” He sighed.

“But it is now. I- Do you know how much I freaked out? Why did this happen? Why’d it happen to me?” My eyes started to tear up.

“Please calm yourself Namji ah. Let me explain ok. Sit, it’s a very long story…” He sighed for the 100^th time.

I sat down as he ordered, waiting for what he was going to say. He inhaled deeply before he began.

“Kim Namhee…” He spoke.

Why did he say my mother’s name? Does she have something to do with this whole situation?

“You remember your mother, right? Well… you see she-

-Baekhyun’s POV-

In a few more minutes, the Elders were scheduled to arrive. EXOM came back, but they couldn’t find Namji. I’m really worried. I don’t know what we should do if she can’t be found. If something bad happened…. I don’t even need to say what would happen.

Soon a loud sound came and signalled that the Elders arrived. I became really nervous, I was sure to get in trouble for letting her walk off. We all bowed as we see them land on the ground. They weren’t in a happy mood, I could tell by their facial expressions.

“Who let Kim Namji out those doors?!” Lee Sandong ssi loudly spoke.

I looked at Suho hyung and found that he was looking at his feet, but his attention soon shifted to me. Looking back to the Elders, they were eyeing each of us waiting for someone to explain. Neither Kris hyung nor Suho hyung explained. I heard them having a conversation earlier about not to say that it was because of me. But I can’t just let my friends get in trouble because of me.

“I-I did sir” I spoke as I stepped forward.

“Byun Baekhyun. We clearly told everyone that she is not allowed to leave the building without an EXO member!” Kim Junho ssi scolded.

“We are disappointed in you Baekhyun” Yoo Yonhyun ssi shook his head.

“Hanhyung and Yuhan, set up the tracker. We must find her, she must be safe” Sandong ssi ordered.

“Baekhyun. Come with me” Sandong ssi ordered.

I obeyed and followed after him. I glanced at the other 11 members and they watched me walk away with worried faces.

-Namji’s POV-

After what my dad told me, I was dumbfound. I was not expecting that. Who would? At the moment, I was sitting in my dad’s living room alone. He said he was picking up someone, he didn’t say who. It’s probably someone he works with. I stood up and examined the apartment more. Seriously I love the interior of it!

*RING… RING… RING..*

I looked for the phone that was making the noise. When I finally found it I quickly answered it before it stops ringing.

“Hello?” I said in English.

“Oh… uh, Mr Kim, is this?” Someone tried speaking English… they sound Korean.

“Are you Korean?” I asked in Korean, I can’t speak English anymore!

“Namji?! What the hell are you doing there? Or did I accidentally dial you?” It was Jinyoung.

What do I do?! Do I tell him the full story? Ehhh, not now!

“Uh, I didn’t tell you?”

“Tell me what?”

“I came along with Appa” I let out a nervous laugh.

“What?! You left me here? I want to go to America too! I haven’t been there yet” He whined

“Um, why’d you call? I’ll just tell Appa what you wanted to say”

“I was just calling to ask how things were there. Plus if he could bring a souvenir from there”

“Ok… I’ll hang up now” I said

“Alright meanie! Bye! OH wait! How are you going to school?” He asked

“Uh… I’m not staying here long… I’m planning to leave tomorrow?” I replied unsurely.

“Ok then, bye”

I don’t even know if I can go back to Korea. When I bring my dad to see EXO, I’ll tell him to ask. Soon I heard the front door open, I was expecting to see my dad walk in but I was happy to see the person I saw.

“Taehyung!” I cheered and ran to him.

It’s been so long since I’ve seen him!

“Woah, Namji! You’ve grown up well I see… Still short though” He chucked as he hugged me.

“You died your hair” I stated, I’ve only seen him with black hair but, alright.

“Thanks for stating the obvious Namji. I really didn’t know that” He laughed.

-Baekhyun’s POV-

When Sandong ssi finally stopped walking he turned to me and let out a sigh.

“Baekhyun. Why’d you let her leave?”

“She said she wanted to go outside, I tried to tell her to stay but all the things she replied with made sense. She said she had all the right to leave. But I’m sure she’ll comeback. Unless she… got lost” I said in disappointment.

“I know you meant well for her, but at the same time, you need to think of what these actions will cause you in the future” He replied calmly. 

I know what he was trying to say. But come on, Namji made a real good point and I dont want to be seen as a jerk in front of her or other people. I refuse to be called a jerk.

But what was the reason? What did Namji's mother do?

And who is this Taehyung person? Namji and him seem close...
