Donghae

I opened my eyes to a blur of a female figure looking down at me.

My eyes squinted. 

"Oppa!" She suddenly said, worridly.

I opened my eyes widely when I noticed it was Miyoung.

"What--what happened?"

"You passed out again, silly," She smiled, rubbing my forehead with a warm wet cloth.

"I--I did?"

"Yeah, you idiot." She laughed.

What's wrong me now adays?

I always end up passing out randomly.

"What time is it?" I suddenly asked.

"It's 8:20pm." She laughed.

"Oh-- I should get going then," I shakily stood up and fell to my knees.

"Oppa," She grabbed me by my hand, "Are you sure you want to go?"

"Yeah--" I smiled, "Where else would I go?"

"You can stay over~" She laughed.

"Wha--- Seriously?!"

"Yeah! I'm worried that you'd pass out while walking home..."

"No~" I denied, "I'm fine, I can walk home."

"Oppa," She said in a concered tone, "Please stay."

"No, I'll-- I'll just go now," I laughed, standing up.

"Please stay~" She whined.

"No, no, I'm fine~" I started to walk towards her doorway.

"Oppa~" She suddenly ran up to me and hugged me from behind. 

My eyes widened.

"Please-- Please stay." 

"Uhm-- okay..."

My heart raced.

We both stood there for a while in silence until she finally let go.

I slowly turned around with a shocked look plastered on my face.

"Sorry about that," She smiled, rubbing her head.

"Uhm," I stuttered, "What-- time is it again?"

"It's 8:23... "

"Uhmm..."

An awkward silence stood between us.

"Did-- You eat yet?" I suddenly asked.

"No," She smiled, "But I'm hungry though..."

"I'm hungry too," I said eagerly, "Cook me something."

"Yah," She complained, "I don't know how to cook..."

"Seriously?!" I laughed.

"So what--" She whined, "You don't know how to put on skates ~ So don't laugh!"

"Aish," I grumbled, "Fine... I'll cook then."

"Really Oppa?~~~" She smiled.

"Yeah yeah yeah," I mumbled, "Just be lucky I'm doing this, I usually don't cook for people."

In fact... I haven't cooked for a while. I've always been relying on my personal chef...

I looked around her kitchen and didn't find much except some noodles, soybeans, soy milk, nuts, vegetables, ice cubes... Pretty much it.

"So what are you gonna cook?~~"

"Shh."

"Oppa~~"

"Shhh," I mumbled, thinking what I'd cook.

"Oppa~~~~"

"Shhh...."

"Oppa~"

"Yah!" I finally said, "Go sit down in the living room and quiet down~"

"Aigoo," She mumbled, dragging her to the living room.

What to cook. What to cook.

I searched through her kitchen in the look out for a drainer.

"Ah," I smiled, finally finding it.

Aish, it was burried under a bunch of kitchen utensils.

Miyoung needs to organize her kitchen, aigoo.

I was about to drain the nuts until I found a bowl full of nuts being soaked.

"Yah, Miyoung," I called out.

"Yes?" She smiled, skipping over towards me.

"Yah, back away, it's a suprise," I mumbled, pushing her head away from trying to look what I was about to make.

"Aigoo," She complained, "Whattt~~~?"

"Are you using those nuts being soaked?"

"No--"

"Good, now go back to the living room."

"Aish," She grumbled, dragging her back to the living room.

A smile appeared on my face as I watched her flop her onto the couch.

I walked back to the kitchen and boiled 2 cups of water into a pot.

On the other hand, I began cooking soybeans in another pot with cold water.

For 10 minutes, I found myself transitioning from pot to pot.

Every once and a while, I'd check what Miyoung would be doing.

She sat on the couch, watching tv.

She made the cutest expressions with her face.

"Almost done," I softly said to myself, placing the noodles into the boiling water.

I let it boil for a couple of minutes and drained the noodles after wards.

Suddenly, I'd hear someone giggling.

"Yah, Miyoung," I complained as I noticed her peeking from afar at what I was doing.

"Oppa~ I'm hungry~~~"

"Shh, wait." I mumbled, "Just go back to the living room and wait for a couple of more minutes. I'm almost done."
"Are you sure?~~"

"Yeah, of course I'm sure." I laughed, "Now go."

"Aigoo, fine." She whined, dragging her once more to the living room.

"Aish, this girl." I smiled to myself.

After about 3 minutes, I was finally done; garnishing the dish with tomatos and cucumber strips & plating it.

"Yah, Miyoung," I called out, "I'm done."

"Finally!" She whined.

I hope you enjoy this Miyoung, I'm just trying to be a good friend.

I carried both of our dishes up to the dining table where Miyoung anxiously sat.

"What is it~ What is it?" She said, excitedly.

"Yah, wait." I mumbled, walking over to her.

When I placed her dish in front of her, a big smile suddenly appeared on her face.

"Kongguksu! (Soy milk noodles)" She smiled.

Without even waiting for me, she gobbled it all up.

It was cute, acutally.

"Yah, slow down!" I laughed.

"Why~~ It's so--" She smiled, "It's so good!"

"Really?!" I smiled.

"Yeah!" She said, while eating.

No one has ever really complimented me on my cooking.

She warmed my heart a little...

"Thanks--"

"Yum yum yum" She smiled.

She finished the dish faster than I expected.

"Aigoo," She smiled, "Thank you for the dish, oppa~"

"Uhm--" I stuttered, "No-- no problem."

"Oppa~"

"Yeah--?"

"You're such a good hearted person."

"What-- why?"

"Because you took the time to actually cook something."

"Thank-- thank you, Miyoung."

"You're welcome!" She suddenly stood up from the chair and began to yawn, "My mom used to always cook Kongguksu for me when I was younger~"

"Oh-- oh really?" I smiled.

"Mhm! I'm really glad that you cook it, it brings back so many good memories!" 

"So your mom is a good cook?"

"Yes! She was awesome!"

"She should cook me something then," I laughed.

"Yeah, that would be cool," She said, "If only she were still here..."

What does she mean?

"Anyways!" She laughed, "It's getting late." 

"It is?"

"Yeah," She whined, "You spent almost an hour in the kitchen!" 

"Yah, it wasn't that long!"

"Yeah it was!"

"No its not!" I complained, "You're just exaggerating."

"Whatever," She laughed, sticking her tongue out at me.

"I'm going to go to sleep soon, I'm so tired." She left me alone in the dining room with all the dishes to wash.

Aigoo.

I couldn't help to think about how pretty Miyoung is without her glasses.

Aish, come one, Donghae, you can't possibly be falling for her, right?

Nah, you just think that she's pretty.

That's it.

After I was done cleaning up the kitchen, I turned off the living room light but as I did, I noticed that her cell phone was vibrating.

'Wooyoung oppa'

Should I reject it? 

Damn, I can't. Miyoung would hate me.

What should I do with it?

"Yah, Miyoung," I said, approaching her bedroom with her cell phone in my hand.

"Miyoung?" I said, looking around for her, the room was quiet.

"Miyoung~" 

I finally found her laying on the bathroom floor, unconscious.

"Miyoung!" I ran up to her and lifted her back up.

"Miyoung!" 

She wouldn't respond.

What do I do? What do I do?

I carried her to her bed and placed her on top of it.

The cell phone kept vibrating. 

Aish.

Without hesitation, I rejected the call and turned her phone off.

What the hell happened to Miyoung?

I sat next to her bedside; holding her hand.

I hope she's okay. 

I stared at the features of her face.

My hands seemed to through her soft hair and on her cheeks.

I felt tempted and took her glasses off.

"Hwang Miyoung, I was wrong about you," I said aloud, "You're not a nerd. You're beautiful."

Without hesitation, I leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
