Wednesday came. Jongin was still in his bed, staring blankly into the ceiling. He was thinking... thinking deeply about the following day, about the dinner with Soojung's family, and about Sehun's warning. Whatever he will do tomorrow might change his life.

Jongin grabbed his phone from the table beside his bed, "Hello? Mom?"

"Jongin, honey. Good morning."

"Yes, mom? What is it?" he asked with an uninterested tone in his voice.

"I hope you're not forgetting the dinner tomorrow."

"Yes."

"Oh, and also the proposal. Have you bought Soojung a ring?"

Jongin cringed after hearing the word 'proposal', "Yes, mom. Don't worry about it. I'll bring the ring tomorrow," he lied. He haven't bought Soojung an engagement ring, and he never had the plan to. But since President Kim asked him, he should do it.

"Great! I'll see you tomorrow, honey. Goodbye."

"Goodbye," and with that, Jongin ended the call. He let out a deep sigh, and stood up to open the curtains of his room.

Unbeknownst to him, Minseok has been eavesdropping the whole conversation. Using a glass he held against the door, he was able to hear everything.

"What the--! I must tell this to Hyoyeon noona!" Minseok thought to himself before he ran outside.
