Jongin had just finished attending his last class for the day. He was on his way to a faculty meeting when his phone rang. It was a message from an unknown number.

Jongin, I just came back from Singapore! I know you missed me so much, so I guess you can come over for dinner. You know Saemil's near the hotel? At 8:00 p.m. What do you say? :)

Jongin smiled after reading the message. He replied,

Sure Mom. Dinner would sound great..

8:10 p.m. Jongin hurriedly went inside the restaurant near the hotel where his mom stayed. 

"Kim Haneul's table," he told the waiter who approached him as he entered the restaurant. The waiter directed him to the table in the middle of the room.

As he approached the table, he saw two ladies seated opposite each other: on the left was his mom, Haneul, and on the right was... Jung Soojung.

"Oh, Jongin," President Kim greeted, "Have a seat!"

He bowed to his mother but he did not turn to look at Soojung. As he took his seat, President Kim asked, "Aren't you going to greet Soojung?"

Jongin took a deep breath, before he turned to Soojung, "Good evening," he said in an uninterested manner.

Soojung answered with a smile.

President Kim noticed the tension between the two, so she cleared and started a conversation, "Jongin, honey, I invited Soojung so that we could talk about the planned partnership between us and the Jung's."
