CHAPTER 12

KRIS' POV

                I woke up, when I suddenly realized I fell asleep in Dara’s room.

                I also saw my hand interlaced with hers.

                I quietly and carefully removed my hands on hers, since I don’t want to wake her up.

                Geez!

                What have I been doing?

                Maybe, I was so lost in my thoughts last night, that I have really done some weird things.

                This is really weird.

                This is the first time I held a girl’s hands, except of course my mother’s.

                I first checked Dara’s forehead and compared it with mine.

                Good. Her fever is already gone.

I exited Dara’s room, and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

I thought that by  jogging in the school grounds, I can have clearer thoughts.

I don’t want to let any girl enter my cold world.

DARA’S POV

                Flashback

                I was eating my breakfast, when I saw Kris arrived, catching his breathe.

                He seemed to be so tired. Of course, he’ll be tired since he jogged early in the morning.

                He acted as if he did not see me.

                Really! This cold guy!

                “Kris, thanks for taking care of me.” I uttered.

                He then faced me, and said ,  “I did not do that for you, I did it for Chanyeol. He asked me for this favour.”

                I suddenly felt that he returned to his usual cold self.

                I was really hurt by what he said. I thought that he was really being sincere when he took care of me...  when he prepared the soup last night and the meal this morning, when he diligently changed the damped towel on my forehead ... when he held my hands last night.

                I thought that he became my friend... But.... Now, I’m back to reality.

                This was not the Kris who took care of me last night.

                Here I was, thinking that maybe, just maybe we have develop some sort of friendship.

                While acting unaffected, I said “ Thanks anyway. Moreover, I sincerely thank you for finishing my drawing project for me. It was really beautiful. You truly are an artist. ”

                “Okay.” He replied, and went to his room.
