Rooftop
보름달 (Full Moon)Haru took the last step and stopped. She inhaled deep deep breath and exhaled it through slowly. It was nice being in this place. Standing in this height, made her shiver sometimes, but still, it was nice.
She was now at the rooftop of a school near Gangnam District. She wasn’t the former student of this school though. Her feet brought her here without she even noticed. Could she say that it was like magic—again? Well, because she didn’t even know why she was there. She knew she didn’t lose her memory. But one thing she believed certainly that she might have relation with this school, also the previous place, in Yongiham Dormitory, and the night club she worked at. She had asked Chanyeol many times perhaps if she was involved in a car accident, but Chanyeol said “No, dude, you’re the best driver. With that skill you can be international racer.” So, what brought her here?
“Ya, you…”
Haru froze for a moment, realizing that she wasn’t the only one who was at the rooftop.
“Hey, are you deaf? I’m talking to you, hey long-haired girl with black leather jacket and red high-heels…”
Haru turned her body slowly.
“Oh, you’re the driver in Fire Club who took me home that night, right?”
Haru widened her eyes. Oh, damn, she wanted to curse to the heaven for arranging this kind of meeting. The night when the guy nagged her because she scraped his car’s wheel was the night that she decided to not get involved with him anymore. Maybe she cursed him too much that the heaven was now not on her side.
She sighed.
“Yes, oh—why do we meet again? Do you still hold a grudge to me because I hurt your car that night, that’s why you’re following me? Perhaps you’ve planned to push me from this height so I can die?”
“Tch…” He clucked. “I should be the one who ask you that. Are you stalker?”
“Stalker—huh—” she laughed in mock. “Do you mean I stalk you? That’s impossible!”
“It’s proven though. Well, who are you actually? How do you know my password and how can you get into this place? I’m curious.”
“Well—”
“Do we know each other?” He asked again.
“Well, I don’t know your name, and you don’t know my name either…”
“Han Yoju?—if I’m not mistaken.” He mentioned. “I never know someone who named Han Yoju. I don’t even have any friends named Han Yoju. It’s my first time hearing it.”
“I guess so. I think we don’t have any relation. It’s just coincidence.” She said. “What are you doing here?”
He made his way to the edge of the rooftop, standing there for a few seconds, enjoying the scenery. He finally looked at the girl next to him. “Eventhough I graduated, but this is still my school. This place is my favorite place. I can be here all day long.”
“So, this is your school…” Haru mumbled. Her cheeks blushed because she was embarrassed.
“I told you my reason. So why are you here?”
Haru shrugged her shoulders. “I might be insane. I don’t think I know this place, but I’m familiar with it. I walked out of my consciousness. It’s like—I’ve been here before. Is it possible that I’ve been here in past time?”
He looked into Haru’s eyes. He found them attractive—her eyes.
“Unlocking my password—did you do that out of your consciousness?” he asked.
“Yes. It’s like my finger moved by itself.”
“I never believe such things.”
