“Listen, Jennie…” B.I started out.
“I’m sorry if I was too harsh on you before. I didn’t mean to be that rough.” He apologised with his head hung low. He played with the strings of his hoodie.
“No Hanbin. I was the one who made you mad.” Jennie denied, “Honestly I didn’t mean what I said to you at the gym this morning. I…. I was just afraid.” She admitted as her fingers toyed with the hem of her denim shorts.
“Well… What are you afraid of? Are you afraid of me?” he moved closer.
Jennie shook her head and glanced at him.
“I’m afraid of giving love another shot.”
“You’ve been hurt before.” He stated, “I can see it in your eyes.”
Jennie arched her eyebrow, “What?”
“The day when we first met officially was the evaluation. I looked into the mirror and saw your reflection. Your expression was chic and cold but I was attracted to your eyes.” He leaned forward and rested his cheek on his knuckles on the table. “It was your eyes that drew me in.”
Jennie blinked rapidly. “W-what do you mean my eyes?”
“I don’t know why but your eyes tell me a story. I guess it’s true, eyes are the windows to your soul.”
“Hanbin… why are you so…-”
“Your eyes are beautiful and that tells me something about your soul.”
