All four members of the Kim family were gathered around the dinning room table for their Thursday dinner night. Most of the time it would just be Yixing eating dinner alone while the kids ate in their rooms or with their friends and, Joonmyeon would be stuck in his office. But, Thursday were Yixing's favorite days just knowing they would all be together to spend quality time together. 

As Yixing entered the dinning room with multiple types of foods on his platter, ready to serve everyone. To his dismay everyone was on their phones texting away or doing something that wasn't actually talking. After he set down the food, he cleared his throat and held his hand out. At this point everyone knew what that gesture meant, they all turned off their phones and handed them over to Yixing.

"So how was school today?"

He question went ignored as the two teens continued to eat their food in silence.

"Yixing asked you a question. Don't be rude and ignore him." Joonmyeon spoke up to assisted his poor husband as he tapped Jongdae on his arm.

"School was fine. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

"How about you Kyungsoo?"

All eyes shifted to the doe eyed boy who was lost in his own world, pushing around his Jeongol. He was even unaware Yixing still staring at him worriedly when everyone else looked away to continue eating their food.

"Is everything okay Kyungsoo?" Yixing asked as he shook the boys shoulder to grab his attention.

"Not really."

"What happened?"

They boy looked up quickly and furrowed his eyebrows towards Yixing, giving the appearance that he was about to cry.

"Th-"

Kyungsoo was quickly cut off when Joonmyeon excused himself from the table, announcing that he had work to do in his upstairs office. Kissing Yixing quickly on his lips and smiling at his children weakly before leaving the room.

"As I was saying. Jongin invited me to his party but dad said I couldn't go."

Of course. This was about a boy, why am I even surprised.

"When is this party?"

"Tonight."

"It's a school night."

"Yeah but his parents are going to be there and I will be back before ten. I promise."

"You know I don't like going against your father's decisions."

"Please Yixing!."

"Fine you can go but you need to be back before nine."

"Ten."

"Eight."

"Fine I'll be in the house by nine." Kyungsoo jumped up from his seat before hugging Yixing ever so tightly and even kissing him on the cheek.

This was a new thing for both of them when he was used to Kyungsoo pushing him away constantly when he would try to show affection to the young child.

"Please don't tell your father!"

"I won't!"

With Kyungsoo and Joonmyeon gone, it only left Jongdae and himself at the dinner table.

"Is there somewhere you would rather be as well?"

"Can I go to Chanyeol's house?"

"Knock yourself out."

Jongdae got up from his seat and left the house rather quickly.

Once again Yixing was left alone to eat dinner and clean up. Surprising? Not really.
