When Yixing opened his front door, he was expecting Kyungsoo to be standing there with all smiles but he wasn't expecting a tall blonde to be standing right next to his short son. This boy was wearing black jeans and black combat boots, he didn't really look like a type of guy Kyungsoo would even date. Kyungsoo was quick to grab Yixing and pull him into a tight hug and kiss him along the cheek. It would take a while for them to get used this kind of affection but he didn't mind. Yixing let both boys in and took their coats, hanging them up in the nearby closet.

"Kyungsoo who's your friend?"

"This is my boyfriend Kwon Jiyong." Kyungsoo smiled proudly as he pointed to the taller male. 

Now that Jiyong wasn't wearing a coat, Yixing could clearly see all the ink that plastered the boys pale skin. Multiple colored doodles and quotes littered both arms and even his neck.

"Nice to meet you Jiyong. I'm Yixing his father."

Jiyong bowed respectfully to Yixing and smiled at him warmly. This was surprising considering Jiyong looked more of a rebel than a respectful young man, more surprising why would Kyungsoo of all people date respectful people? This dinner was going to be strange.

Once everyone was seated and Jongdae; with Yixing's help finished passing out the dishes, the feasting had begun. It seemed as if everyone was eating comfortably except for Joonmyeon who spent most of his time staring at Jiyong. In order to end the eerie silence Yixing started to break the ice by starting conversation.

"Kyungsoo and Jiyong, how's school going?"

Kyungsoo dropped his fork and looked off into the distance, feeling very nervous about the question just asked.

"I don't go to any university." Jiyong said looking away from Joonmyeon's glare.

"I no longer attend that university. I dropped out a few months ago." Kyungsoo said right after his boyfriend.

"A few months ago? You told me you were writing a paper for your Creative Writing course just last night!" Joonmyeon yelled out to the already terrified Kyungsoo.

"I didn't want to tell you over the phone because I know how you would react."

"Instead you've been lying to us? This is unbelievable Kyungsoo." Joonmyeon inhaled deeply and pinched the bridge of his nose before he spoke again. "Where does the money I send you every month for necessities go then?"

"I used to it to pay for my apartment with Jiyong."

"Not only are you dating him but you're living with him?"

"I'm old enough to make a decision like that for myself dad."

Joonmyeon looked as if he was about to explode any minute now. His face was turning a deep red and his hands closed into fists. This wasn't suppose to happen during Thanksgiving dinner, Yixing needed to quickly put a stop to this.

"Joonmyeon maybe you should calm down a bit, I'm sure Kyungsoo has a reasonable explanation for this." Yixing spoke out calmly as he attempted to sooth his husband.

"Explanation? I spent so much money and pleaded with so many college admissions just to get him into that prestigious school, just so he can drop out."

"I was trying so hard to do well there but the endless studying wasn't paying off on my test scores. I didn't make sense for me to even stay there anymore."

Neither of the two spoke after that moment but Joonmyeon slowly got up from his seat and made his way upstairs, obviously exhausted by the bickering at the table.

"Why do you always do that?" Jongdae asked Kyungsoo, this being the first time the boy had spoken all night.

"Do what?"

"Piss dad off to the point where he doesn't even want to be around us anymore."

"I don't mean to do that."

"You obviously do. You know everything was going perfectly fine before you showed up again! You always ruin everything!" Jongdae excused himself from the table and also retreated back upstairs to his room.

"Kyungsoo, he didn't mean that he's just upset."

The comforting came a little too late when the tears were already building up in Kyungsoo's doe eyes, he left the dinning room and ran into the living room to cry alone. Jiyong of course following him just in case Kyungsoo wanted to talk about.

Yixing at the dinning room table with multiple unfinished meals near him was such a normal occurrence at this point, he wasn't surprised he was the last person left and had to clean up afterwards. After all Thanksgiving did fall on a Thursday.

 School started up again which but today was a snow day (thank you jesus), I got most of my homework done before time so I gave you all a melodramatic update. If you didn't know Kwon Jiyong is G-Dragon and he has been my latest obsession so he needed to be included in this. I hope you enjoyed and comment with prompts. xoxo
