"I don't want to go to school today." Jongdae yelled for the sixth time from his bedroom.

For the past hour Yixing has been pleading with the fourteen year old boy whom was acting twelve, to attend school. This lead to yelling from both parties until Yixing was finally starting to give up.

"Why not? It's the last day before your break! You get to come home and sleep right after." Yixing yelled through the wooden door, separating them both.

"Yixing I'm still not going to school today."

Yixing sighed loudly as he knocked on the boys door for the final time.

"I said I wasn't going just go away."

"Fine."

Walking down the stairwell towards to kitchen, Yixing continued to prepare breakfast for Kyungsoo and hopefully Jongdae. Every single morning, Yixing would have to argue with the boy non stop until he got annoyed enough to the point where he just went to school. This morning was much different, Jongdae locked himself in his room and has refused to leave his room for the rest of the day. Joonmyeon didn't even try to assist Yixing this morning with Jongdae instead he rushed out the house, coffee mug in hand yelling about being late for his meeting.

Humming to himself as he flipped the last pancake he was oblivious to the short boy sitting down at the kitchen island, rummaging through his school bag.

"You don't have to make me breakfast this morning." 

Yixing stopped his humming and turned off the stove to face the doe eyed boy. Kyungsoo liked to think that he was always of much more intelligence compared to Joonmyeon and himself but the boy could never understand that Yixing was always ten steps ahead of him.

"Why not?" 

"I'm going to eat school breakfast today."

"You hate school food."

"Since when? I eat it all the time."

"Really? I remember just yesterday you discussing how disgusting the cafeteria food was with Jongdae."

"You must have heard me wrong."

"Oh cut the crap and get your plate."

Rolling his eyes Kyungsoo sighed, very much irritated.

"Can't you just pass it to me."

"No. You have two legs just get it yourself."

"Fine." The shorted boy mumbled before stepping out from his seat behind the island counter.

Yixing's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw what the boy was wearing, shorts. Not just your average shorts that are slightly above your knee cap but the ones that leaves nothing to your imagination.

"You're not wearing those to school."

"Why not?" He asked as he pulled them down a bit so they appeared longer.

"You're showing too much skin and I don't want people to think my son is that kind of guy."

"Step son."

"It doesn't matter you aren't wearing them."

"Baekhyun wears these all the time and his parents don't say anything! Why do you have to be so f- annoying?"

"I care about you and you are changing those pants."

Huffing in defeatment, he dragged his feet back up the stairs to change his inappropriate ensemble.

"You better hurry up the bus is coming in ten minutes!"

Even louder groaning could be heard from Kyungsoo's upstairs bedroom.

Cleaning up the kitchen a bit and packing away the leftover pancakes for Jongdae whenever he decided to get out of his room. Yixing looked through his wallet to find a few singles to give Kyungsoo so he could buy lunch. The loud horn from the nearby school bus rang through the house, and Kyungsoo ran down the steps. Snatching the bills from Yixing hands before running out to catch the bus. Not even a goodbye nor thank you leaving his mouth but Yixing was used to this behavior from him so he wasn't even surprised at his actions.

Before he sat down in the living room to relax, he walked back upstairs to Jongdae's door. In high hopes that pleading with the boy for the last time would make him attend school.

"Jongdae if you go to school today, I will talk to your father about giving you your phone and laptop back." Crossing his fingers as he said this.

There was a brief silence before he heard the shower running and Jongdae yelling out an "Okay."

Believe it or not this was just a good morning in comparison to other days.
